Completely agree Bryan. I was tempted to give up on EastEnders as some of the older stuff is much better than this, but that'll keep me hooked for a while. Loved the whole wedding thing - if looks could kill then death would have been involved. The way everyone could hear Roxy and Ronnie arguing in the next room, and it was amusing how Bradley tried to get himself out of the, "Are you the groom?" without offending Roxy or Stacey. It was a great ending and an unusual way of doing things with the jeep, and I loved how Roxy was so eager to marry Sean that she was telling the registrar woman to carry on while Bradley was trying to get Sean's trousers on. I was so shocked by the ending... just shows what happens when you stop reading the spoilers so much. Can't wait to see if Phil's reaction to Archie will change because he didn't mind when Peggy went away with him; and how Ronnie will respond.
I loved the whole thing with the egg and how they worked together to get Ben to the community centre. I liked it that Shirley talked Phil into going along and kind of got him to accept the dancing, making him see Ben in a new light rather than as a girl.
I think they ruined Deano's character. He was more accepting of Shirley than Carly ever was; if anyone should have turned violent out of the family then it should have been her, in my opinion.
I Loved the wedding episodes they were brilliant, Bradley stood there in his boxers while sean changed outfits. Loved christian as well all smiles and then to Ronnie "Why didnt you stop her"
Loved the wedding.. Think Roxy and Sean are very well suited.. both as crazy as each other... Jean was fantastic as usual.
What is up with Phil?? my god, how can he say that about his son, that he will beat him into doing what he wants cause that is what his dad did to him.. you would think he would learn from this and be nicer to his kids...
I think what made me mad was not the spiral of violence, cause i know it happens but what he said "why can't I force him".... I mean he is saying these words but not hearing them... You can't force someone to do something just cause you don't think it is right...
I really dont like Suzy.
What happened Claire? Was she abused, raped or bullied? :searchme:
Poor Garry he will never get laid or get a woman
I do not like Suzy either and her horrid pink purse..I loved the moment with Ben and Peggy and her telling him about the Jazz greats.Phil is eventually going to have to accept the fact that Ben is DIFFERENT and he is not going to be a PHIL clone..whose picture did he destroy ( was it his step dad ?? )
I love the Massoods THEY ROCK,, and loved it when Ians kid came over and gave them copies of the menu,, and said he wanted in.. sweeeeeet...
The episodes have been ok.. I have not exactly been bored,,
Clare  she just bores me to death, with all her talk , and when Dot ,Stacey and Bradley came in, poor Garry, he never gets a break but again if he would stop acting like such a HORN DOG he might actually find a nice woman. Looks like Dot is going to try to take Clare in hand,, wouldn't it be funny if she goes into a convent and becomes a nun,, what a ending for her !!!!!!!!:rotfl:
DAm! sounds like I missed a good week, well the wedding :( And I'll never to watch it :( Thats the bad points about going away for a month cos by the time you get back, all the downloads arent there :(
its a pivotal plot point i tells ya ;) seriously though, why the hell would phil make ben treasure a photo of a footballer when phil has expressed no real interest in football or even been to a match in the entire time he's been in eastenders? its such a random way to try and show phil wants ben to be 'tough' or whatever.
havent written on here in a while. enjoyed last weeks epis, the wedding epis were so funny!
Phil is warped, he thinks treating his son the way he was treated by his father, pushing stuff on him that Ben doesn't want. Ben is not like him, never was.. Phil has got to realise that he is also a Beale
i dont agree with phil trying to force ben into doing what he wants and i think he should accept that ben wants to do dancing rather than playing sport etc. however i can understand why phil got angry last night, imo ben was behaving like a brat, not coming to eat his dinner then refusing to eat it
no, i think phil did go over the top the way he dragged ben at the end. i think it was understandable him shouting at him but i dont think he should seriously hurt ben. although i also think ben needs to grow up a bit and stop being so immature, refusing to eat your dinner is quite a childish thing to do
Sean - Ohh Ben! There's kids starving in africa(!)
Sean was hilarious last night  i'm really liking him and Roxy (hope the baby is his)
I cant stand Suzy :thumbsdow
I hope they dont ruin Shirley and Heather friendship its one of the best around
So did Vinnie move in with Garry and Minty?
i think what happened was that Vinnie, Shirely and Heather originally lived in the flat and Vinnie threw the girls out so they had to go to Gary and Minty's. what they have effectively done now is swap places- the boys are all together and the girls have gone back to their original flat.
I think Phil was a bit over the top with Ben, but Ben also needs to stop acting like such a big BABY..Phil may eventually loose Ben to Ian Beale if he is not careful.
Ben is a very confused little boy, having his dad PROTECT him from Sheila then he starts abusing him too. :nono:
Sean can be very entertaining when he wants to be, I enjoyed his "one liners"
I am getting confused now with all the crazy living arrangements ,,,Gary Minty Vinnie ??? or Gary and Vinnie or Minty Shirley Heather?? sorry I am getting really confused
Did Ben say 'It dosen't hurt anymore' or something.. and then Phil goes 'What did you say?''
I don't know, I just got really confused with the end between Phil & Ben, what was going on?...
i think what happened was ben had complained his stomach hurt and so had had to come back from basketball, phil thought he was faking it, at dinner ben didnt want to eat his food saying his stomach still hurt, phil dragged him up and said if it hurt they would go to the hospital and then ben said it doesnt hurt anymore (referring to his stomach). i think he was faking it to get out of basketball and so he didnt have to eat his dinner but in the end he pretended it had stopped hurting cos phil threatened to take him to hospital if it still hurt. hope that makes sense, i think thats what happened anyway :)
what on earth is all this clare stuff?????? i know she is on her way out tonight but this is daft - talk about rushed and bradley has had a complete personality transplant!!! he would never be that mean
Finally Suzy interacted with some other Brannings.
You go Bradley  telling Claire off time for her to leave
The Mitchells Saga boring :thumbsdow
Max/Ronnie :thumbsdow
Yay Tracey got loads of lines! Some funny ones too :cheer:
tracey was ace!!!!! she totally spoke for what the viewer was thinking......
they are all mad, no one can be happy in the vic!!! sooooo true!
tracey - only person who knows!!!
i think Tracey deserves a National Soap Award for her stunning performance tonight!
and how did they get throught the whole evening without mentioning the fact that Stella used to physically abuse Ben? ok, they alluded to their marrige breifly but that was it. you'd think that might have a chance of beaking the cycle of violence in the family.
Well hurray for Tracy. They are all nutters. Especially Sam when she decked Tracy.
But the violence of Phil never showed before. Not against Ben anyway and it has gone again as if by (Archie magic)?! I wondered about Stella as well. Phil does have a tendency to close his eyes for his boy.The only constant nice people in Ben's case where Peggy and Roxy.
Ronnie is never easy around children. Not her fault I think .
Phil seems to have undergone yet another personality transplant. Until very recently he was a doting father and would never have harmed Ben. Suddenly he remembers how he was treated 30 or 40 years ago and he changes in to a child beater (or nearly). Nonsense.
Tracy was great. I think Sean ought to have a conversation with Winston now. :cheer:
For the first time since her return I am 100% behind Claire. As a confirmed atheist myself I am so glad she didn't fall for Dot and Lucas's ministrations. Shame she's gone!
