Val is looking very frail and scared, Amy is supporting her as the pair walk back to the carpark.
Val: Cancer...me? I always thought it was old people that got it...
Amy: It can strike anyone Val, that's the scary thing...
Val: How I am going to cope Amy!? How can I tell everyone!?
Amy: One step at a time Val... but trust me you WILL get trough it... you are a strong woman Val...as tough as old boots...
Val: That was before I had cancer...
Amy:Nonscence! You're the strongest woman that I've ever met, you will get trough this and you will recover! Even Cancer can't keep Val Andrews down!
Val: I hope so Amy...I really do...
Amy: Just stay positive, and keep smiling and we'll get trough this...

Its so good Val has got Amy to help her through this - would be better if James was there for her rather than being embroiled in his lustful wants (which is only going to get him into deep water...its bound to...).
Very sad about Tom losing his job - lifeguards can't save every life. Ok so he shouldn't have been at work if his mind wasn't on the job properly, but hes going to live with that guilt for the rest of his life.

WOW!! well written Bry and Abi.. Poor Val but at least it can be operated on. Amy is such support to her. Glad Vicky and Nick sorted out the differences. What makes me think Jared has bought the cafe

INT. LORRAINE'S APARTMENT - NIGHT
The camera moves into Lorraine's bathroom, we hear laughter from her and James. The camera pans to show them in a bath tub enjoying a bubble bath, each of them a glass of wine in their hands.
Lorraine: We really should get out soon...
James: Oh not yet....just a little bit longer?
Lorraine: But I'll get wrinkly skin..and you wont want that....
James: You will still be my super sexy...
Lorraine: Mistress?
James: Yeah....I suppose you are... but as far as I'm concerned...your the main woman in my life now...
Lorraine: Oh careful James, carry on like this and I might start to believe you have feelings for me :p
James: I do...and I hope you do too... these past few months have been amazing...I could spend the rest of my life with you...sitting in bath tubs, drinking wine...
Lorraine: What's your point?
James: My point is...I think I'm falling in love with you...:heart:

INT. RED RUM PUBLIC HOUSE - DAY
Annie: We want you to reach a fair decision regarding the bingo hall Richard...
She locks the doors to the Red Rum, and places the key in her bra.
Annie: And no one is leaving this pub until you do so...
Nick gives Vicky an annoyed look, Richard looks nervous and shocked. All eyes are on him.
Richard: I seriously can't believe you all... you bunch of ungrateful swines... how can you do this!?
Josie: How can you close down our bingo hall?
There are a few muffled words of agreement form the crowd.
Richard: I'm not doing it to spite anyone! I'm doing it for the benefit of Baymoore...and consequently all of you! I know this lesuire complex will generate a lot of money...
Mandy: For you Taylors maybe...
The crowd are clearly against this...
Richard: Yes for us... but who rents rooms at the B&B? Who uses the local shops that you run? Who buys pints in this pub?.... The holidaymakers! And what's keeping them here!? Fresh ideas! Such as this lesuire complex!
The crowd begin to see his way of thinking.
Richard: I have kept you all surving for the last 30 years! I built this village! The houses! The buisnesses! Your livelhoods and homes! And this is the thanks I get for it all!?
Annie: You've give us it, but whose to say I will you wont take it all away like you have the bingo hall!?
Richard: How can you even consider such a notion!? I care for Baymoore! I've always done the best for the village and it residents! Now if I was to leave things as they are Jared Ashworth's new holiday complex would steal away every holidaymaker in a ten mile raidus! Which means this whole villlage would end up a ghost town! Is that what you want!? Eh!? The changes I make benefit all of you! So don't you dare! Don't you dare make out that I'm doing you wrong by closing the Bingo Hall!
Richard begins to walk out of the pub, Nick following stunned by his fathers dramatic speech. Richard faces back at them all with a look of contempt on his face.
Richard: You lot disgust me...
Richard faces Annie.
Richard: The key?
Annie takes a regreful sigh and passes him the key. He unlocks the door and throws the key on the floor and storms out of the pub, Nick following behind him...

INT: LORRAINE'S APARTMENT- Day

Lorraine: Sorry?
James: I... Sorry, that was a bit full on..
Lorraine gets up, and puts a dressing gown on...
James: You're annoyed with me, i understand. I shouldn't have said that...
Lorraine: I'm not annoyed i just... no ones said that to me, and actually meant it like that before. I've had men say it, because they thought it was love... but they were only trying to blag it really, and pass of friendship as love...
James: I mean it, hun.
Lorraine: I've known so many ****ty men. They thought they could use me to get their career further, mainly. And you know... i thought they loved me, i really did. But then i realised that all that time, they were using me..
James gets out, and sits next to Lorraine...
Lorraine: You're different to all those people though. I can see that... you're caring, and you're loving and.....
James waits for her to continue...
Lorraine: And you're not mine...
James: Sorry?
Lorraine: You're the greatest thing thats ever happened to me, but you're not mine, you're Vals... James...?
James: Yes?
Lorraine: Will you leave her, for me?

EXT: GARY'S CAFE- Morning
Richard pulls up outside the Cafe, and sees the door open. He is curious to know who the new owner is, so gets out, and walks in..
Richard: Hello?
Richard walks around a little bit, trying to find the owner...
Richard: Is there anyone around? Its Richard, the owner. Well, the old owner... (Pause) Hello?
Richard hears footsteps near the back office door. He walks into the office, and recognises the man standing there...
Man: Richard...
He puts his hand out, Richard looks bewildered, and slightly angry. The camera pans out to reveal Craig: the new owner

Craig: Richard...
Richard: No!...No it can't be!
Craig: I would offer you a bacon buttie but we wont be up and running for a week or so yet...
Richard: The owner can't be you! It just can't...
Craig: Well it is...like it or not I now own this run down greasy spoon...
Richard: How can you have the ordasity to buy this cafe after what you've done to my family... Ed... Tanya...
Craig: Oh please Richard don't be so petty, you a buisnessman should know more than most that you can never turn down a good buisness venture...
Richard: Have you any morals!?
Craig: Who needs moral when you can make a profit? It might not be the most glamarous buisness but if it gets me some money in my back pocket more the better...
Richard: You broughty this merely to rub our faces in it! You are one sick and twisted man Craig!
Craig: That i am! Now get the hell out of MY cafe... you're barred...

Lorraine: You're the greatest thing thats ever happened to me, but you're not mine, you're Vals... James...?
James: Yes?
Lorraine: Will you leave her, for me?
James is stunned at this.
James: Er...erm....
Lorraine: I'll take that as a no then...
James: No..erm...it's just... I wasn't expecting this...
Lorraine: I know its come out of the blue...but if you love me like you say you do I don't see what the big deal is...
James: But what about Val?
Lorraine: What about her? You said you don't love her anymore... or do you just want two women on the go at the same time!? Is that it!?
James: No of course not!
Lorraine: Does it gives you some perverse kick eh!? Hopping from one bed to the other, playing us off against each other!?
James: No...
Lorraine: Because if it is I'd rather end it now...I will not be the other woman James...you mean too much to me to see you staying with Val... I love you...and want you for myself...
James: And I love you too...
Lorraine puts her hands on his head.
Lorraine: (Seductive) Then leave her for me...
James: Ok..
Lorraine leans in and passionatley kisses him, he drops his glass of champagne on the floor....
