Christopher Cazenove is reportedly in a critical condition after collapsing at his home.
The actor, who is best known for playing Ben Carrington in '80s soap Dynasty, has been in intensive care for two weeks suffering from septicemia, reports The Mail On Sunday.
It is understood that the 66-year-old suffered migraines on a business trip to California and collapsed when he arrived home in London.
A friend said that the actor was in a coma but has regained consciousness and is being treated at the capital's St Thomas' Hospital. "He was in a life-threatening condition but doctors think they have stabilised him now. The family are all at his bedside and praying that he will make a full recovery," the source said.
Cazenove's agent said: "His family are with him and everyone is rallying round."
The Etonian made his name in the early 1970s drama series The Regiment, before making several appearances in Judge John Deed and playing the role of Charlie Tyrrell in The Duchess Of Duke Street.

Peter Andre has revealed that he considered suicide after crippling panic attacks. The 36-year-old singer-turned-TV presenter admitted that the frequent attacks became so unbearable that he thought about ending his life: "You can have thoughts like that and I'm not going to lie, there were times when it was so bad that I thought: 'Am I better off?'"
Pete credits his family with saving him, saying: "You have to look at what's around you. My family were my entire life and I thought: 'How are they going to live the rest of their lives?' That's what stopped me."
The star - who split from wife Katie Price last year - ended up in hospital 10 years ago when he had a serious breakdown brought on by the pressures of fame - then the backlash - but says today that he will never let himself get so low again, despite his last panic attack happening just three months ago after his break-up with the glamour model. "Because of my kids these days I can't be anywhere I can't control...they need me and I will always be there for them."

Take That star Mark Owen has admitted cheating on his wife with "maybe ten" different women.
The singer, famous for his squeaky clean image, said that problems with alcohol were to blame for the string of affairs, one of which - with 24-year-old account manager Neva Hanley - lasted five years.
Owen insists he's been faithful since marrying wife Emma (nee Ferguson, pictured) five months ago, but confessed to having slept with Hanley just weeks before the pair were wed.
The other infidelities were, he says, short-term flings with Take That fans on tour.
Owen and Emma have had two children together - Elwood, aged three, and Willow Rose, who's one.
"I denied to her I was having an affair when things were going on," said Owen, explaining why he'd chosen to come out with the revelations now.
"I want to do the right thing now for the kids and Emma. She is absolutely without a doubt the only person I want to be with for the rest of my life.
"I'm so deeply sorry for the pain my actions have caused... I have been an idiot, a d***head, a k***head. All of the above and more"
-
Why didn't the asshole confess to his wife years ago. What good is it going to do now.

Mark Owen has reportedly been kicked out by wife Emma after confessing to affairs with ten different women.
According to The Mirror, the Take That star is currently sleeping on a blow-up bed at a friend's flat after admitting his infidelity in a private discussion with his partner on Tuesday.
It is thought that Emma, who has two children with the singer, told her husband: "Get out. You're a liar and a cheat."
A source told the newspaper: "If Mark can keep his marriage together it will be a total miracle. He can say whatever he wants, but Emma doesn't know how she can ever trust him again."
The insider added: "It turns out that he has betrayed her throughout their relationship. He's not the nice man she thought he was.
"She was in a state of shock when Mark finally confessed all on Tuesday. She listened calmly and then told him to leave straight away. He didn't even have time to pack his bags."
Reports suggest that Owen confessed all after hearing that one of his secret partners, 24-year-old Neva Handley, had decided to sell her story.
The popstar publicly revealed his cheating in a newspaper interview yesterday, but insisted that he had stayed faithful since his wedding last November.

OMG, he managed to stay faithful for about 4 months

VERNON Kay's text sex shame has cost him a lucrative six-figure sponsorship deal with car maker Alfa Romeo, The Sun can reveal.
The All-Star Family Fortunes presenter was set to become the new face of the Italian motoring giant.
But the dad of two's clean-cut image was shattered after we exposed him last month.
That led Alfa Romeo bosses to put the brakes on the deal, believed to be worth £100,000.
A spokesman for the firm said last night: "We had been in discussions with a view to recruiting Vernon in an ambassadorial role for the brand. But in the light of what has happened, we have dropped that idea."
Vernon, 35 - wed to Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly - admitted sending a string of steamy texts to five women, including Page 3 girl Rhian Sugden.
Last week Tess, 40, spoke for the first time about her humiliation. She told BBC1's The One Show "it's been tough" but she said their ten-year romance was "worth fighting for".
Alfa Romeo is now believed to be luring Italian TV chef Gino D'Acampo, 33, who won I'm A Celeb. A source close to Vernon said last night: "This is the last thing he needs."

Peter Graves - star of the classic TV series Mission: Impossible and disaster spoof movie Airplane! - has died in the US city of Los Angeles. He was 83.
The actor had a suspected heart attack outside his home after a meal with his family, about a week before his 84th birthday, said publicist Sandy Brokaw.
Graves was perhaps best known for his role as special agent Jim Phelps in the popular TV series Mission: Impossible.
He also played bungling pilot Clarence Oveur in the 1980 film Airplane!.
The actor initially turned down the role but was talked round by the film-makers, who told him his dry, deadpan humour made him perfect for the spoof disaster moovie.
He had just returned from lunch on Sunday with his wife and children when he collapsed before making it into the house, his publicist said.
He had this statesmanlike quality
Sandy Brokaw
Publicist
One of his daughters tried in vain to revive him.
"He had this statesman-like quality," publicist Brokaw told AP news agency. "People were always encouraging him to run for office. But he said: 'I like acting. I like being around actors."'
The police said the star had died of "natural causes" at his home.
Awards
Arguably his most famous role was in the long-running TV show Mission: Impossible, in which Graves led a squad of American government special agents battling evil conspirators.
Every show began with Graves, as Agent Phelps, listening to instructions detailing his team's latest mission on a tape, which self-destructed within seconds of being played.
The show ran on CBS from 1967 to 1973 and was revived on ABC from 1988 to 1990.
"Your mission, should you decide to accept it..."
The actor said the writing was behind the show's long-running success.
"It made you think a little bit and kept you on the edge of your seat because you never knew what was going to happen next," he once said.
He won a Golden Globe in 1971 for his part in the series.
Graves appeared in about 130 film and TV shows during his career.
His first television series was the 1950s children's Saturday morning show Fury, about an orphan and an untamed black stallion.
Early in his career, he also turned in a memorable performance as a Nazi spy in the 1953 prisoner-of-war drama Stalag 17.
In recent years, he hosted the A&E Network's long-running historical series, Biography.
It won him an Emmy for outstanding informational series in 1997.
RIP Peter :(

Mark Owen’s wife is taking him back for the sake of their children.
Emma Ferguson has told the Take That singer they owe it to 15-month old daughter Willow Rose and son Elwood, three, to try and work things out after he confessed last week to having sex with 10 other women during his relationship with her.
A source close to the family said: “Emma will do absolutely anything for her beautiful children. Mark has been a complete idiot - which he openly admits - but it doesn't stop him being a brilliant dad.
“He dotes over those kids and Emma knows it. It's a long road ahead. But for the sake of their children, she will forgive him.”
Mark, 38, has checked into rehab to get help for alcohol dependency since his admission to Emma and has vowed to stay there “indefinitely” until he overcomes his problem.
A source close to him told The Sun newspaper: "He begged her to give him time to prove he can give up drinking forever.
“He said he might feel strong enough to come home after just one week, or it might take a month or more.
"He is doing everything to convince her he is worth staying with."
Emma, 33, has been comforted by friends at the family’s home in London.
She now needs time to work out how she can fully forgive Mark, who she married last November after five years together.
A friend added: “Emma wants so much to believe this could never happen again - she just needs time to heal and consider whether she can fully forgive."
Mark’s bandmates – Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange - are lending him their full support, as well as former Take That star Robbie Williams.

Sandra Bullock has left her South California marital home, amidst allegations that her husband Jesse James had an affair.
US magazine People confirms that the Oscar-winning actress left the house a few days ago, while the sordid story hit the headlines yesterday.
Tattoo model Michelle McGee revealed to In Touch magazine that she enjoyed an 11-month affair with James, while his wife was away on location in Atlanta, filming her award-winning performance in The Blind Side.
She went on to claim that she and James met up on a weekly basis, and that when she asked him about Sandra he claimed: 'She doesn't live here. She has a house in Austin. She is filming, and I can't talk about it.'
Sandra has now abruptly cancelled a trip to the UK, where she was due to walk the red carpet at the London premiere of The Blind Side.
She wed James in 2005, after meeting him on the set of his TV show Monster Garage in 2004.

Plans for Jonathan Ross to sign a new deal with Channel 4 have been shelved, a report claims.
According to The Guardian, the controversial star was being lined up to move his chatshow to the broadcaster in a deal which would have earned his production company £10 million.
However, it is thought that the idea is now off the table pending the arrival of Channel 4's new chief executive David Abraham, who reportedly has doubts over whether Ross would be an appropriate signing.
Sources have suggested that the contract would have tied Ross down for two years and seen him presenting 20 episodes of his programme per year.
It is understood that some figures at Channel 4 hope that Abraham can be persuaded of Ross's potential. However, it is claimed that no other major UK broadcaster is in talks for the presenter's programme, leaving the network with extra time to consider its next move.
A spokesman for Channel 4 said: "We continue to talk to Jonathan about working together."

Jesse James publicly apologized to wife Sandra Bullock and his three children Thursday amid reports of infidelity.
"It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way," James, 40, said in a statement obtained by TVGuide.com. The former Monster Garage star also called a majority of the reports "untrue and unfounded."
"This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them," he said. "I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me."
James' statement comes one day after In Touch printed a cover story featuring an interview with tattoo model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee, who claims to have had an 11-month affair with James while Bullock was filming The Blind Side. Bullock won the Academy Award for best actress earlier this month for the film and thanked James extensively in many of her awards season acceptance speeches.
Bullock, 45, abruptly canceled an appearance at the film's London premiere due "to unforeseen personal reasons" Wednesday. According to People, has left the Southern California home she shares with James and his three children.
Bullock and James — whose children are from previous marriages — met in 2004 and have been married since 2005.

Amid claims that Rebecca Hall was the reason behind the split of Sam and Kate, friends and representatives of both Rebecca Hall and Sam Mendes have rubbished the rumours.
A representative for Sam Mendes has denied the allegations that the split happened because of Rebecca Hall. "There is absolutely no truth to this. Sam and Rebecca are professional colleagues. That's it." he said.
Rumours are rife that Kate was upset with Mendes' growing fondness for actress Rebecca Hall. According to the Daily Mail, Mendes was charmed by her after working with her in his 2006 flick "Starter for 10," and even more so when she starred in his Bridge Project theater company shows in New York and London.
"Yes, they know each other, but that's about it," says an insider close to Hall, who insists, "Rebecca has absolutely nothing to do with their split."
Sam and Kate met in August 2001 when they got together to discuss a theatre project. and tied the knot on May 24, 2003 at Barnes Bay in Anguilla, West Indies in a low profile marriage.

SAMANTHA Cameron is expecting a baby in September, it was announced today.
Mrs Cameron and her husband, Tory leader David, were said to be "completely thrilled" by the news.
Mr Cameron said in a recent TV interview with Alan Titchmarsh — recorded when he must have known of his wife's condition — that he would be happy to add another child to their family.
A Conservative Party spokesman said: "The baby is due in September and David and Samantha are completely thrilled."
The Camerons suffered tragedy in February last year when their severely disabled eldest son Ivan died aged six.
He was born in April 2002 with a rare combination of cerebral palsy and a form of severe epilepsy called Ohtahara syndrome, requiring round-the-clock care.
Recalling the moment he heard Ivan was ill, Mr Cameron said: "The news hits you like a freight train.
"You are depressed for a while because you are grieving for the difference between your hopes and the reality. But then you get over that, because he's wonderful."
The Camerons also have a four-year-old son, Arthur Elwen, and a six-year-old daughter Nancy.
Mr Cameron took paternity leave when his second son was born — a decision that received broad coverage.
According to the Tory website, Mr Cameron's family "has always been the starting point of everything he has wanted to achieve in politics".
It adds: "He is proud of the values that were instilled in him when he was young.
"Today, as a father, he knows how important quality family time is, and has made shared parental leave a priority."
Mr Cameron has admitted to being broody several times over recent months.
Answering a question on population growth from an audience member at the Woodstock Literary Festival in September, he said: "I don't believe Britain is over-populated. I don't have any plans to reduce it.
"I would quite like to add to it, personally, by quite possibly one, at some stage in the future."
Touring a maternity unit in West Yorkshire in December he met a nine-hour-old baby and told reporters: "It makes me want another one."
Mr Cameron recently disclosed that his wife was being deployed as a "secret weapon" for the general election campaign.
Downing Street said the Prime Minister and Sarah Brown were "very pleased" to hear the news of Mrs Cameron's pregnancy.
The premier's spokesman said: "They will be sending a message of best wishes to them."
Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg and his wife Miriam Gonzalez Durantez sent a message of congratulations to the Camerons.
Mr Clegg said: "I am delighted for them both."
If Mr Cameron is Prime Minister when the baby is born, the new arrival will be only the third child born to a serving British Premier in the last 160 years.
Leo, the Blairs' fourth child, was born on May 20, 2000, while Francis Albert Rollo Russell, the third child of Lord John Russell, was born on July 11, 1849.
Earlier today, Mr Cameron admitted he hoped racy photos of his wife revealed this weekend would never come to light.
The pictures, taken more than a decade ago soon after the couple married, show Mrs Cameron in a variety of outfits, draped across sofas and rolling on the floor with a kitten.
The fashion and retail executive agreed to pose as a favour to a friend who designed the clothes.
Mr Cameron told reporters this morning that the couple were "both very surprised" when the photos surfaced.
He said: "She did these pictures a long time ago in connection with her business, I think back in 1996 or 1997.
"But we knew one day someone might remember them. We were hoping they would never appear, but they have. These things happen."

Dermot O'Leary has received a sinister voicemail message containing a threat to rape his X Factor co-star Cheryl Cole, according to a report.
Police are currently investigating after O'Leary reported the matter, The Sun claims. It is thought that the individual who sent the message had intended to contact Cole herself but had the wrong phone number.
A source told the newspaper: "The message was of a sexual, threatening and sickening nature. Dermot was horrified when he heard it. He thought at first it was a sick wind-up, but soon realised there was something sinister going on."
They added: "Somehow this caller has tried to get hold of her number and somehow accidentally got Dermot's. If they were prepared to go to that effort, who knows what they would be prepared to do?"
A spokesman for Cole said that the singer's management company is helping police with their enquiries.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the City of London Police said: "We are investigating claims of an offensive message being left on a mobile telephone. It follows a complaint from a member of the public."

Keanu Reeves has sent his best wishes to his friend and Speed co-star Sandra Bullock in the wake of the allegations concerning her husband Jesse James. The actor was attending the 2010 Toyota Pro/Celebrity race training in California at the weekend when a reporter asked if he had well wishes to send to Sandra as she deals with the allegation that her husband has had an 11-month affair. Yes, of course, I mean for everyone," said Keanu. But when asked if he had spoken to the star, the actor decided it was better to stay quiet and walked off.
Earlier this week the star's husband apologised for causing the Oscar-winning actress any embarrassment but denied that the rumours were true. Sandra has moved out of the couple's home and has not been seen since the allegations were published.

She also talked about taking time off for this baby, saying: "I used to work every single day and travel round the world. I worked weekends, I never took one second off.

CHERYL Cole has poured out her heart about the new man in her life.
Girls Aloud beauty Cheryl Cole stunned millions as she revealed her true feelings for hunky Black Eyed Peas rapper Will.i.am live on air.
Yesterday was the first time Cheryl had spoken of her private life since her split from cheating husband Ashley last month.
She cooed about how the 34-year-old music producer was “absolutely inspiring, fantastic, futuristic, creative”.
And she raved: “I would work with Will for the rest of my life if I could.
“He is everything you would want from a producer, and also from a person. He’s a lovely person.
“I’d work with him for ever if I could.”
Stunned Radio 1 host Fearne Cotton, 28, was so taken aback by the outpouring that she asked: “Is he a bit in love with you?”
Giggling Cheryl, 26, replied: “No, no Fearne!”
She went on to joke that she may adopt the stage name “Cher.i.am”.
And while Ashley’s name did not cross her lips, she could not stop raving about Will.
She said they would have plenty of time to get to know one another when she joins the Black Eyed Peas on tour in May.
“It’ll just be little old me rattling around in a bus,” she said playfully.
“A bus feels kind of lonely without the girls. I’ll be on my own bus but I’ll travel with the band.”
Her transatlantic “come and get me” came after LA music mogul Will admitted he would move to London if Cheryl, who he has dubbed his “Perfect 10”, would go out with him.
According to his pals, the pair have been constantly texting since Cheryl kicked out Ashley, 29, over claims he cheated on her with five different women.
The Chelsea and England star has long been jealous of the pair’s close friendship, which dates back to 2008 when Cheryl auditioned to be a dancer in one of Will’s videos.
The rap star was so impressed he instead asked her to duet with him on his hit single Heartbreaker.
He went on to produce and co-write her debut solo album 3 Words.
But pals said it was his open admiration for her beauty that left Ashley livid. Will is said to have told Cheryl Ashley must be an “idiot” for cheating on her.
Will, who boasts seven Grammys, has been linked to some of the world’s most beautiful women.
He was seen kissing Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 31, in Los Angeles and Aussie beauty Natalie Imbruglia, 35, in London nightclub Monroes.
But he is currently single and, according to friends, focused entirely on winning Cheryl’s heart.
This week he said: “I’d move to London if it meant being with her. She’s a beautiful girl. I can’t wait to hang out with her more.”
Last night a source close to Girls Aloud, who Cheryl admitted she had been partying a little too hard with the night before yesterday’s Radio 1 Live Lounge performance, said they had been encouraging the romance.
She said: “Cheryl needs her confidence building after everything she’s been through.
“And he’s certainly doing that. The girls reckon she should go for it.’’

Peaches Geldof has been axed from her six-figure deal with underwear brand Ultimo following claims about her private life.
The company said it had "no option but to terminate her contract" after deciding she was no longer a "positive" role model.
Ultimo said it would be removing visuals of the 21-year-old, who was appointed in May last year, from all shops and window displays.
It follows claims the daughter of Bob Geldof had a heroin-fuelled one night stand.
Several photographs from the night were published on the internet last week.
Her lawyer has strongly denied allegations of drug-taking saying she had "consumed alcohol".
Geldof said she was "disappointed" Ultimo had decided not to extend her contract "based on a wildly exaggerated account of a night in Los Angeles five months ago."
She added: "Whilst I vehemently deny parts of that account, I understand Ultimo's decision."
Michelle Mone, the founder of the brand, said: "We've given this a lot of thought, but there's a point where a business must stick to its principles and as a brand that targets young women, we feel it is impossible for Peaches to continue to work with us as the face of Miss Ultimo lingerie."
The range is geared towards women aged 18 to 25 and has been stocked in Debenhams stores and online.
Kelly Brook has been unveiled as the new face and body of Ultimo's latest lingerie campaign.
Model agency Storm said it had no plans to drop Geldof from its books.
The model and socialite, who was briefly married to musician Max Drummey, is the daughter of Paula Yates and Bob Geldof.

Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton welcomed their first child into the world on Tuesday. Their son, Julian Fuego, was born in Los Angeles, a rep for the pair confirms to People.com, adding that "mother, father and son are all doing well."
Thicke, who will celebrate his five-year wedding anniversary with Patton in June, canceled his show in L.A. on Tuesday night, citing "personal reasons." His tourmate Alicia Keys gave the new dad a shout-out onstage.
In an interview with Women's Health, Patton, who appeared in "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire" and stars with Queen Latifah in the upcoming "Just Wright," spoke about becoming a first-time mom. "You can get into that cycle of 'What's next? What's next?' But I thought, I want to have children, and I'm not getting any younger. I didn't know if it would be hard for me to get pregnant," she said, adding of Thicke, "He's so proud of himself, it's ridiculous."
Thicke, whose most recent album, Sex Therapy, was released last year, also spoke about the anticipation of becoming a parent in an interview with Essence.com in December. He said, "You can't have the amazing joy a child brings without work, like you can't have a great woman or man unless you put in work. I'm afraid of not being patient enough, but most of the time that's when I'm scared or worried about the future. I want to work on that. But my biggest fear is being able to be there, because I don't know if kids ever think their parents were there enough."
