Ches is the manager, would have thought that gives him the right to hire and fire on Dev's behalf?

Audrey watching Netflix. Yeah right. :D
quite full on with drugged david and josh scene even if nothing was really shown
did josh also take ghb?
will fiz be taking hope to see a therapist like for ruby now hope is the demonic child not ruby
Whilst I understand the show has to move with the times (and that cliffhangers have to be a bit more exciting than 'Ken getting shortchanged for a loaf of bread at Alf's Mini-mart') the only thing tonights episode highlighted, was that it's rapidly becoming a 20 minute infomercial for various 'helplines' (and little else)
As if the last 12 month antics of Pat Phelan weren't downbeat (not to mention, farfetched) enough (what with his various ongoing grudges, dodgy dealings, murders, kidnappings and undiscovered daughter) But tonights episode was the worst yet (and maybe that's the point...because the show now just seems determined to out-do itself with every new episode) General entertainment has taken a back seat to social commentary.
It wouldn't be half as bad if they didn't rush the exposition so badly.....but this is what the show seems to do nowadays (the recent OCD storyline being a recent embarrassing notable)
The show itself is full of overely dramatic cliffhangers (that yesteryears viewers would usually have to wait years for) wedged in before ad breaks (or to ensure that you tune back in at 8:30) and usually the outcome is swiftly forgotten or quickly dealt with by the time the show restarts.....and such dramatic cliffhangers occur almost every week (seemingly intent to provide 'TV QUICK' style magazines the prerequisite 'sensationalist' headlines)
An indication of how bad the show is getting, was when David was (rather nonchalantly) describing his mothers previous 5 or 6 husbands (one of which was a serial killer) and yet it just highlighted hòw far-fetched the show has become, when such a catologue of pain and misery heaped one *ONE* family on a street, could just be so casually mentioned in (what was supposed to be) a 'lighter' moment in the show? And then to crown off such absurdity, David was then drugged and homosexually raped (and I thought Elsie Tanner had it bad, back in the day?) I felt compelled to watch the news afterwards (which felt 'upbeat' by comparison)
I'm just a straight white guy (who thankfuly hasn't been affected by gender, disabilty, alcohol or rape issues) and if I had, then I'd certainly seek more professional advice, than from a programme that's shoe-horned inbetween talking meerkats?
Perhaps ITV should have a helpline for people 'affected' by the fact that their favourite shows are becoming bogged down in lazy, patronising, virtue-signalling for whatever atrocity is in the headlines that week?
Excellent summation. Thanks thin space man
I think the real problem here is the context, as thin space man mentioned in his post. Yes, male rape does occasionally happen in real life and yes, it's a terrible thing and I have every sympathy for the victims, who obviously need a lot of support. And yes, it probably does need to be "dealt with" on tv, in some way. But... is a soap that's broadcast at 7.30 p.m the best place for it?
Surely a "proper" programme, going out later at night, can cover it much better than a soap that is already crowded with storylines (some of which are also "relevant" and important)?
But more importantly, when Roy left Fiz's the front doorlatch was on the snib yet was heard to shut...
zeedan quick to see the doctor without appointment, i'd be very angry in that waiting room
I would have thought A&E was more appropriate
What has upset David, he looks like he has taken something the wrong way?
The premise for doing this story line pre watershed was set with the Bill and the character Mickey.
I was frustrated thou that David didnt do the unexpected and go straight to the Police, it could of been a strong message showing there is no shame in being the victim of the sick actions of deviant.
Now we are stuck with a man sicker than Pat on street who now seems to be lining up Shona as his next victim hopefully Dave will bury him alive under Gails bedroom.
They are both doing a brilliant job, but I just feel that the programme is already crowded with storylines and they're going to be covering this important story in between comedy sub-plots, like the clairvoyant story. And there are other darker storylines that need to be continued too, especially the Pat Phelan one, which is going to come to a head very soon and presumably sideline David's struggles for a while. A later, hour long drama would be able to concentrate on the issue more than Corrie can.
They got the award they wanted then

David is not tight, well not now Josh has loosened him up a bit.
why bring carla back for stupid wedding planning and seducing young fellas
I hope we get to see David seek revenge
carla back on vino sauce, all recovered with new kidney
Serious subject that it is, I do look forward to see David's revenge panning out. His character is strong enough to make it worthwhile and interesting to watch.
There, I've said it: Worthwhile to watch. It's a long time since I've even considered saying anything like that, given the dire way the stories have been heading in recent years.
Gail is a fake mediums delight, she keeps filling in the gaps when prompted, Ive been to a well know mediums gathering and he did the same, I wont give his name away but his best mate was Sam :cartman:
That is what i thought with Carlas drinking. She is not acting like someone who had a transplant a few weeks ago.
Could Fiz please just leave and never come back? Please?
Yes. Vile woman . Hypocritical and nasty.
We saw again the nasty twerp side of Tyrone, threatening Ches with violence, last time when Kirsty was bashing him he took his anger out on Ches by having his van crushed.
I want Sallys wallpaper.. it would be cool in my bedroom
Brian was talking about Chesney's attitude towards Gemma. Brian (to Chesney): All the ladies love a bad boy. How else do you explain my success over the years.
And I always thought Brian bored them into submission.
audrey pushed rosemary on gail now wants faker rosemary to leave gail alone
roy can see a faker "rosemary" and bad egg "simon"
When Rosemary said 'I've got a man, no, a woman' I thought it was going to be Haley.
Simon goes off the rails again. Loved Roy having ago at Rosmeary and LOL moment with Brian describing her as a cross between Doris Stokes and Geoff Capes.
No Fizz or Tyrone so a bonus. I did find Tracey and Steve funny when Leannes little brat got almost Permanent marker Pen on his face and Toyah saying his face looked like the London underground tube map. :D
Nice to see Martin back at number 8.
Very sinister closing comments made by Rosemary to Gail .Is Rosemary going to stage some sort of accident to convince Gail ?
Had to be a matter of time for trainee thug Simon to cross the line, what's next on his agenda?
Will this 'medium' turn out to be the sister of Richard Hillman (with a grudge?)
