How Was Your Day II?

My 7 year old daughter is abandoning her mother tomorrow for a week. I got a phone call on Wednesday night from her school friends mum, saying that they were going to Grisedale forest park in the Lake district for a week this weekend and asked if Marley would like to go. So I have been running about like a headless chicken the last two days as I had to go and buy her some holiday clothes plus the schools up here in Scotland go back in just three weeks so I had to go and get her new clothes for school as well. So god knows what I am going to do with myself I'm working during the day but the place will be so quiet without her

Well, I had a great day today, went to the beach and just happened to come across another sbs member who happens to be on hols down here at the moment :cheer:

Yet another day of doing absolutely nothing, why can't the weather be nice then I get to go down the beach for the weekend?!

Just been rejected from yet another job, im never ging to get one. Ill be skint for ever. Keep trying and hope for the best.

Going to the cinema later but i dont know what to see, ill probably see the break up as eveyone seems to be going on about it.

I do aswell... there must be some jobs in Stockport/ Manchester somewhere!

Today I will do absolutely nothing again, as there is nothing to do!

Tell me about it. Im getting so desperate im just going to drop aload of CVs off at places. Subway and sainsburys are my next two. I have also emailed City to see if they have any catering vacancies or waiting on.

If all else fails, my advice is to look into temping - gives you experience and a lot of companies employ people on a temp to perm basis as that way they can evaluate your working skills prior to employing you, without doing anything illegal.

I've heard the airport always has vacancies on the catering side, so i'm gonna try when i get back, but it might pay off to look there!

I could try the airport the only trouble is getting ther for me as id have to be driven.

Ah yeah I guess that's kinda far from where you are, east didsbury station is at the end of my road so i just get it from there. There is a bus, but i don;t think one goes to stockport
