What would be the motive?

Does this lead to James Barton's exit somehow? I recall reading months ago that Bill Ward is leaving, just not sure when.
Add me as another one who thinks it`s too obvious to be Emma. It wouldn`t surprise me if it was Loclan.

Sleep girl's 9-mile walk
A teenager sleepwalked for nine miles and got on a bus before she woke up.
Taylor Gammel also stopped at a shop but stayed asleep and did not remember a thing afterwards.
She sparked a panic when dad Steve woke at 6am to find her missing from their home in Arvada, US.
Cops got a bloodhound out on the streets hunting for her.
The 19-year-old, who has a history of sleepwalking, was found by cousins in another town asleep on the sofa.

Spoilers tell that the Chas Dingle "stalker" storyline keeps going until at least week ending 27th November. Maybe this storyline extends for much longer and carries on though 2016? Anyway, it really looks like another whodunnit storyline is around for us now, this one being one I'd call "Who stalks Chas?". Looks like it's yet another time for us all to get our Scooby Doo mystery-solver hats on to find out which baddie is involved.
My theory is that Cameron didn't die in the cellar that night & it's him traumatising Chas.
She left him in the cellar to die & now he does the same??
We all thought he died but did he? Could he have escaped?

I think there was a body brought out in a black bag but no-one saw it was Cameron & who identified him?
Just a thought as we all know soaps love to bring back a 'dead' character.
I'm probably way off the mark.

Was only a theory, I can't think who else it would be!
Also saw a picture on emmerdales Instagram this morning that made me come up with this as it was a back of a man staring at a fire, he was Cameron's build & height & wearing what Cameron would wear!
Probably an old picture however trying to catch us out.

Chas is mentally ill she is the one destroying the pub it was not Emma fault.
Everyone has their favorite characters I can't stand chas Dingle she is self righteous and acts like she is better than other people. Chas is also out of line hugging james when she knows he is Emma husband. Emma has a tight to be angry when she sees Chas trying to worm her way back into her man life.

.
Chas isn't really leaning nor is she trying to get close to him. Everything that's happened, James is the one who initiates all their interactions. Rewatch them, as far as I am aware, everything thats happened, James went to Chas not the other way round.
I agree with not inviting Exs to Weddings but not being allow to be friends is just utter trash.
.
think emma don't want any man or woman getting close to james and her boys
So we now know from tonight's episode that Chas can sleep-walk, as she was shown to be in a trance, pushing glasses off the bar and going down into the beer cellar. The noise of breaking glass didn't seem to wake her and she didn't walk on any glass in her bare feet either.
Some or all of the previous "stalker" scenes can now be explained by Chas sleep-walking, such as the clothes in her bedroom wardrobe being found thrown across the floor one morning and glass being on the bar floor on another morning. The latest incident shown early in tonight's episode revealed no sign of break-in and the pub seemed to be only occupied by Chas as Diane and Doug are on holiday at the moment.
I'm guessing that the storyliners will now set-up Chas to cause all sorts of fun, suspicions and arguments between villagers over this sleep-walking issue over the coming episodes and that we're in for a "smashing time" for a while. My only questions are, for just how long will things be allowed to go on for, and just how dangerous will things get for anyone? Presumably, Doug or Diane eventually find Chas during one of her sleep-walking incidents around the pub when they come back from holiday or by Aaron when he gets released from jail soon.
I'm disappointed that the "stalker" reveal has happened so quickly and I really was hoping that we were going to be in for a meaty "Who stalks Chas" whodunnit, but we all know how Kate Oates is all for fast storylines at the moment and it seems like this is yet another one.
Of course, the sleep-walking may be something of a partial explanation for now for some of the odd things happening lately to Chas. Maybe we will see evidence of a real stalker come to light in due course as I for one think that the "stalker" storyline for Chas may not be over just yet. It may even be that someone now starts playing on Chas's obvious vulnerability right now by being a real stalker out of nastiness, spite, jealousy or hatred? (Emma? Ross? Diane? Someone else?)
About a month ago, Radio Times posted an interview with Kate Oates about the upcoming storyline for Chas and Aaron this Autumn. Kate Oates did some teasing in this but there are some clues about the future included.
Aaron and Chas to get "a blast from the past" in dramatic new storyline, promises Emmerdale boss

There are surprises in store for Chas and Aaron this autumn as part of an emotional new plotline, promises Emmerdale boss Kate Oates.
"Aaron and Chas's story involves a blast from the past," teased the soap's series producer to RadioTimes.com. "What we'll see over the next few weeks is the culmination of years of stress taking their toll on Chas. And she's hoping that what eventually happens might represent some light at the end of the tunnel."
Next week's episodes of Emmerdale will see Chas grow convinced that she's being stalked, while also having to deal with the shock arrest of son Aaron. But what is it provides some hope in the midst of these crises? A reconciliation with James Barton? The reappearance of Aaron's dad Gordon?
All Oates will say is that the situation should not be taken at face value. "The big issue will be how Chas and Aaron respond to what's happening. There will be some twists and turns and - as always in soapland – nothing is as it seems."
Oates's comments come following the announcement last week from the soap's head honcho that this hard-hitting storyline will delve into Chas and Aaron's backstories.
"We’ll be exploring something about their background and history, which tells us a lot about who they are today.
"It’ll be a tough story to tell and to play. I’m sure that they are more than up to the challenge."

This storyline is boring Chas sleep walking zzzzzzzz lol! Can't the writers be a bit more creative they seem to be running out of ideas for Chas. I think Chas expiration date passed two years ago with the Cameron storyline. Since fall 2013 Chas purpose on the show is irrelevant.

The sleepwalking is a symptom and an indicator of something much deeper. I expect we'll see the sleepwalking lead to suspicion and arguments between the villagers about who is "stalking " Chas, as she and they don't know yet that Chas sleepwalks. During week commencing 23rd November, someone terrifies Chas and she stabs him/her. Presumably this is in the dark early one morning inside the Woolpack bar. I suspect that this will be one of the Woolpack residents (Doug? Diane? Aaron?) but it could be a new character altogether. It doesn't sound as if Chas is sleepwalking when this happens though, as being "terrified" doesn't tie in with the zombie-like state most sleepwalkers seem to have.
Spoilers and Kate Oates' teasing interview (read earlier post of mine above) suggest that Chas' sleepwalking is triggered by recent stress and Aaron being sent to jail but has an underlying cause linked to her past. This could be a traumatic previous experience or relationship, maybe from when Chas was in the army or even when she was much younger. So the sleepwalking is only the start of a longer storyline to explain Chas's past. Aaron is involved in this somehow and I think it should deal with a time when Chas was much younger than now and when Aaron was a child. As Aaron is 23yo, I'm guessing that the issues happened 9+ years ago (2006 or earlier) when Aaron was 14yo or younger. Kate Oates mentioned a "blast from the past", so it seems possible everything is connected to Aaron's father and Chas's former husband Gordon Livesey. Whoever the person involved is, it looks as if any Aaron viewer fans should find the upcoming storyline for Chas and Aaron to be of interest.

Chas first appears when she arrives in Emmerdale dressed as a nun for her cousin Marlon's (Mark Charnock) stag night. She is hired by her father, Shadrach Dingle (Andy Devine), and ends the evening locked in the back of a van with Ashley Thomas (John Middleton). She moves in with the Dingles and gets a job as barmaid at The Woolpack. Chas has a son, Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller), with her ex-husband Gordon, whom she allowed custody. Aaron hated his mother, feeling that she had abandoned him. Aaron rejected Chas' attempts to make amends for this and after he deliberately told her about Carl and Delilah's fling, she ceased contact in order for Gordon, Aaron and his new wife, Sandra, to become a proper family.
