i didnt really watch it this year i got bored half way through. I think it went on for too long and compared to just the two of us it was really bad in comparasion. I only heard Antony sing once so i cant really judge but i didnt think that he was that bad when i heard him. Hayley was good as well.
I though Hayley was amazing but Antony did well, i think he improved the most as from the first night i though oh no, he'll be gone within the first 2 days as he was so nerves and that affected his signing, but by then end i thought his signing actually sounded good.
Hayley totally deserved to win in my opinion! She had by far the best voice! I don't even know how Antony got to the final! Mark was way better than him. Hayley and Mark by far had the best voices and were cheated out of 1st and 2nd place. Antony only won for his humour and energy which isnt what Soapstar Superstar is about!
Im glad Anthony won, i really like his singing style and his voice. I thought he did really well on the Melodies though.
So Antony won i really thought Hayley was going to i think she was the better singer. It seems that Corrie has more fans that Emmerdale. I was hoping for Mark but he was let down with his dance moves and the song.
i was hoping for mark too but it wasnt just the song and dance moves that let him down it was the fact that he was from an australian soap and his face is not well known like the others plus the fact he didnt know half our songs obviously..........sorry couldnt help myself lol
i got the soapstar superstar cd yesterday, its good theres 14 songs on it every contestant sings once on it then the boys then the girls then richard fleeshman

i thought that to, probably a typing error. I think ill give it a miss though. didnt enjoy the show that much.

Ive already ordered my copy! I loved Hayley's version of Son Of A Preacher Man! It was amazing! and all of Mark's performances were good but i wanted them to put either Livin On A Prayer or Its Not Unusual because those were his best ones!
I think the cd was recorded before the show actually began
It could have been thats why the wrong names are on the cover and cd.

OMG this CD is so good! they all sound amazing! I think the best ones are Marks, Hayleys and Gemmas! Gemma sounds amazing! Also i love the group ones too! I recommend this to any Soapstar Superstar fan!

Soapstar Superstar has been dropped from the ITV lineup despite its success during the last series.
It has been running for only two years and last year's final pulled in roughly 7 million viewers.
However, executives at ITV have decided that the show has run its course. A source told The Sun: "ITV1’s new bosses think it’s time to give it a rest.
"They feel it is a bit too similar to X Factor. We know this won’t go down too well among some viewers — but we are planning to come up with other great shows instead."
A spokeswoman for the broadcaster said: "We have decided to rest Soapstar Superstar next year. But it may well come back one day."
aaaww i really liked this show - why do they axe all my favs?
I'm glad they've actually axed this show - i did enjoy it, but i do agree with ITV, that it did seem a bit too much like X Factor with its format etc. Hopefully ITV will now focus on making some new decent dramas to fill its slot.
exactly, it was good, but it could have got very samey if a further series was done. I thihnk ITV have the right idea and know when theres enough.
