EastEnders:Let me end it all!

BRAVE Stacey risks her life to try and talk Steven out of committing suicide * by setting himself on fire!
Can she make him see sense, or will his selfish behaviour see them both go up in smoke?
The drama unfolds after Ian turns Steven away yet again, pushing the tormented teenager over the edge.
Concerned to see Steven in such a state, Stacey decides to follow him and tails him to The Arches. She looks on in horror as he soaks himself and the garage’s contents in petrol and prepares to strike a match.
“Steven just wants to end it all!” explains Aaron Sidwell, who plays him.
“Stacey is incredibly scared by what’s going on. He tells her to go away, but Stacey is determined to get him out of The Arches and stop him doing something very stupid.” At the start of the week, Steven attempts once more to apologise to Jane for shooting her.
As an argument breaks out between the two, Jane suddenly clutches her stomach in agony. When Ian arrives, he screams at Steven to leave his wife alone.
Undeterred, the lad later turns up at Lucy and Peter’s birthday party.
He wants to give his siblings a snow globe that Ian originally gave to him when the twins were first born. But when Ian finds out, he furiously smashes the gift on the floor!
This act of cruelty is the last straw for Steven. Feeling vulnerable and alone, he heads to The Arches, where he grabs hold of a petrol can and pours the fuel all over the room.
“He is deeply depressed about the way Ian has been treating him since he returned to the Square,” reveals Aaron. “There is no going back now.”
However, Stacey has seen Steven, and is horrified to discover that he is planning to commit suicide. She desperately tries to talk him out of it * especially when she realises that she too could be burnt alive if he does go ahead and spark up!
“Steven doesn’t have any intention of killing Stacey,” adds Aaron. “What he is doing is a cry for help. She does her best to make Steven understand that friends can be just as important as family.”
But will Stacey’s soothing words be enough to stop Steven from torching them both?
