Needing to know what really went on, Thomas heads to the garage and asks Cain (Jeff Hordley) why Chas would have wanted to hurt Carl.

Mark Flanagan
‘A new King of Salford’
Salford Actor Mark Flanagan joins the cast of the popular ITV soap, Emmerdale from Monday 29th October. 18-year-old Mark plays Thomas King, the son of the recently killed off, Carl King.
Mark has been developing his acting skills since a young age, attending performance workshops at David Johnson Drama as part of his development as an Actor. It was here that Mark was first spotted by talent scouts from the MediaCityUK based casting agency, Scream Management, who went on to secure Mark roles in Jimmy McGovern’s Accused on BBC1 and, Sheridan Smith’s Little Crackers, on Sky1.
Mark, a student of music performance at Pendleton College, Salford, is thrilled to be joining the Yorkshire based soap. “I think I may have deafened my Agent when she called me to tell me the great news. I have loved the filming and the cast and crew have made me feel a real part of the Emmerdale family. The recent live shows and the growing popularity of the show makes this whole experience a truly amazing one”.
Mark’s family are extremely supportive providing transport and sound advice, as he begins this new stage in his acting career.
“My Gran is a massive fan of Emmerdale”, Mark says, “She never misses an episode and, is over the moon about me joining the cast.”
Mark and his family will be tuning in to watch his first appearance on Emmerdale at home but not necessarily together; “My Dad will probably have some fun pausing the TV on my face shots and laughing at my expressions, so I’ll watch it in peace upstairs and out of the way, Mark says, laughing.

Carl King's funeral is far from a quiet affair in Emmerdale tonight (November 1) as his angry son Thomas makes a scene during the service.
The grieving teenager struggles to keep a lid on his emotions when Jimmy (Nick Miles) gets up to read a eulogy at the church, attempting to speak about his brother in a positive light.
Interrupting Jimmy's speech, however, Thomas (Mark Flanagan) announces to all the mourners that Carl got what was coming to him.
Storming out of the church, Thomas insists that he wants no further part in the funeral. Can he be convinced to come back and pay his last respects to his father?
