Ryan: You've had no complaints so far...

Hilary brushes herself against Ryan. The pair kiss passionatley, it clearly isnt the first time...

Vicky is in the front room, flicking through channels on the tele. Rebecca is in the kitchen. Vicky calls through to Rebecca…

Vicky: Thought I’d cook tonight. Maybe…..spag bol?

Rebecca: Nice thought, but theirs no need.

Vicky: But your always saying I should cook more…

Rebecca: Any other day, and it would be fine, but we’ve been invited to Jenkins Manor tonight.

Vicky: (pauses, then unconvincingly asks;)…why’s that?

Rebecca: I’m not sure. Guess we’ll find out when we get there. Cup of tea?

Vicky: Yeah….sure.

Vicky gets her phone out of her pocket, and writes a text.

INTERCUT

INT: Jenkins Manor

Nick is reading the text, Vicky just wrote;

Just heard bout 2nite. Can’t wait 2 c u. Everythin will be kl, I’m sure. Love you. Vicks x

Zooms out, to reveal Richard standing by a cabinet full of wines, and other alcoholic drinks.

Richard: Come on Nick, stop ogling over your phone. We need tonight to be perfect, and it wont be if the wines not right.

Nick: (still looking at the phone, grinning) yeah, just coming..

Richard: There’s just one thing though that’s bothering me… why do you want everyone here?

Nick: Well, you know….just thought it would be nice..

Richard: even Rebecca and Vicky though?

Nick: Why not?

Richard: Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good idea, its just so many people at such short notice, what with us lot too...

Nick: you’ll find out in good time what its about. Mark my words. So where were we?

Richard: wine.

Nick: Yeah… how about this French white, from last summer?

INT: Jenkins Manor

Hilary is in the hallway, reapplying some lipstick. She then picks up her coat from a hook, goes to the door and calls out;

Hilary: I’m off out! (pause) Don’t I get a goodbye, Patrick?

Tanya walks down the stairs, half way down she stops;

Tanya: he’s on the phone. You know how it is, business and all that.

Hilary: Well tell him I said bye then

Hilary goes to open the door, Tanya walks to the bottom of the stairs, and stands with her arms folded

Tanya: And where should I say you’re going?

Hilary: Out. Just out.

Tanya: Come on, Hilary. Spill. Unless its something he shouldn’t know about….

Hilary: course it’s not. Its my business, if he wants to know then I’ll tell him when I get back.

Tanya: So its something I shouldn’t know about then? Come on Hilary, I know you’re up to something.

Hilary: Honestly, stop going on about something that you know nothing about.

Tanya: Oh but I do. And I’ll catch you out. You’ll slip up, and be caught out.

Hilary: (laughs) how wrong you are

Tanya: Course you will. The truth will out, and so will you. Out of your cosy little place in my home.

Hilary: Stop being so thick, Tanya. Just tell him I’m going out.

Hilary walks out, slamming the door behind her.

I know what you mean. And as we don't know what time or when Bry or Abi will post it makes it more exciting waiting to see what happens next

INT. GREASY GARY'S - DAY

Emma and Andonis are sitting down in the cafe holding hands. Emma is distressed.

Andonis: What's up babes...you seem...troubled...

Emma: I suppose i am...

Andonis: Come on, whats up...you can tell me

Emma: Im nervous...about meeting your family like...

Andonis: Why (laughs) Theres nothing to worry about...

Emma: Yeah but its a big deal isnt it...meeting your boyfriends parents for the first time...

Andonis: Only if you make it out to be...

Emma: I just want them to think I'm right for you...

Andonis: They will do...and if they didnt...then i wouldnt give a toss (laughs) because i'll do what i like anyways...i wanna be with you for keeps...and they wont change it...

Emma: So then, whos who in the Singh household? (Laughs)

Andonis: You make us sound like the Waltons...theres just me...and my little bro Mohammed... my big sis Ruby...shes off around the world on a gap year...

Emma: It ent them im worried about...its your parents...what are they like...Claire was saying they're really strict...

Andonis: Dad is...god...hes so strict, rude, bossy...he thinks he rules us...but well we do what we like...chances are he'll hate you becuase your not a good asian girl from a respectable family...but just ignore him...your perfect...

Emma: And your mom? What's she like...

Andonis: She's sound Ems...she cant wait to meet ya...shes the total opposite of dad...shes kind...friendly...i dont know why shes put up with him so long... look babes...just dont worry about tomorrow...it will be fine...we love each other and that's all that matters...

Emma: (laughs nervously) Bring on tomorrow then...

INT. Jenkins Manor - Night

Richard, Tanya, Gary, Jessica, Jacob, Nick, Vicky, Rebecca and Daniel are all sitting down around a large table. They are waiting for Hilary to arrive.

Richard: I dont know what's taking her so long...must be bad traffic

Tanya: In Devon!?

Gary: Tanya...

Richard: I hope i told her the right time, or we could be waiting for ages...dont want to spoil the meal...

Rebecca: I'm sure it will be fine Richard, im intrigued to now why we're all here...

Richard: I dont even know Rebecca...Nick is keeping it a secret from us all.

Nick and Vicky smile at each other and hold hands from under the table. Hilary walks in, throws her coat on the sofa and heads over to the table.
Tanya: (Under breath) Look what the cat dragged in...

Hilary: Sorry all, had some important buisness to attend to...

Hilary sits down, with Tanya giving her a dirty look. The butler and maid starts to serve everybodys plates to trhe table.

Rebecca: Well i must say this is very nice Richard...

Gary: Yeah top stuff Richard...and this is coming from the pro...

Hilary: Eggs and chips hardly compares to this tough Gary

The group laugh at this except for Tanya.

Gary: (Under breath to Tanya) At least look as tough you're enjoying yourself babes...

Richard: So then Nick... come on...we cant wait much longer...what have you got us all here for...

Nick gets up holding Vicky's hand...the pair are smiling.

Nick: Me and Vicky have something we'd like to share with you all... for the past month or so we've been seeing each other...and well we didnt want to tell you..until we knew it was for real...but now we know.. we are in love... and want to announce it to everyone...

The pair hug, and await the response. Richard is the first to get up

Richard: Well that is fantastic News!

Everyone gets up and starts congratulationing Nick and Vikcy.

Tanya: Well done Bro! You've got a gooden there...

Gary: Yeah congratulations Mate...and you too Vics!

Hilary pats Vicky on the shoulder and heads to the corner of the room. Vicky follows, everyone is till congratulating Nick in the background.

Vicky: So then, you pleased?

Hilary: Of course i am...hes picked from an admirable family...you'd better not break his heart tough...becuase if you hurt him...i want be repsonbile for my actions...

Hilary smiles as she walks Vicky back to the table, Vicky has an uneasy look on her face.
