What are your 6 choices Kim?
Aston, Exeter, Oxford Brookes, Portsmouth, Winchester, Worcester. Most of them for slightly different courses lol. I have reasons to get rid of nearly all of them to get down to 5 so it's just deciding which one to take out. That's presuming I don't find any more lol.
I decided on the course rather than the location of the uni. That helps of course lol but you have to like what your doing otherwise you'll just want to switch after a year. :p
That's my argument to my dad who doesn't want me to go to Birmingham. I prefer the course at Aston over the rest of them so that one is definitely staying in.
My main problem is do I go for a course that I think I'll enjoy at a uni that isn't as respected as some other options. And if I should apply for a course that I think sounds good at a uni in a more convenient location but that probably won't leave me with as many options at the end of it than the alternatives.
i didnt realise you could only choose 5 now. definitely pick ones you like the course at most. then just see which ones you like the whole of it best (like course, accomodation/campus, location, what there is to do etc) thats what i ended up doing after id picked my first few
Aston is Brilliant, Birminghams a great city, my cousin loves it there. How far away would that be from your house Kim?
Youve still got quite a bit of time to choose though
Google maps says 117 miles. I don't think it's that far in the grand scheme of things, considering there are unis that do my course in Scotland.
Yeah you only get 5 now. It's really annoying because we pay more to apply than people who got more choices than us.
My school are setting the deadline 2 weeks after the UCAS deadline for Oxbridge/medicine so it all seems quite close.
I wouldnt trust google maps, I found it to be really unreliable in the past. I use AA route finder
