We will get an explanation, whether it is a good one, remains to be seen

Probably not anymore now but I think 100 days ago he was found disorientated and they offered him board and lodgings for helping on the farm.. Now frail and injured he is still at their mercy, being manipulated into whatever they want him to do. I am sure the episode where all is explained will make things a lot clearer and then we will see how it all pans out. It is too much to hope that both Celia and Ray will be found out and are gone by Christmas?
If Bear is still fit enough to work on the farm, he would be fit enough to pick up Ray and body slam him into the ground. He is being kept in alocked shed, so obviously not there of his own free will. You do not lose skills and techniques you spent years practicing. This story makes no sense, If Anya had the money Caleb gave her, why was she hanging around the village waiting for Ray to find her. Surely she does not have a connection to someone in the village? As you say, there will be an explanation, but it really does need to be a good one.
At the moment Bear is confused, probably has hardly eaten and drank so he is physically not able to bodyslam a fly let alone a fit young man.. he also is not aware that he is being treated as a slave.. he has no idea who he is and where he is or what is going on..
All we have seen of him is just sitting but although he does not look dynamic, I do feel we have not seen enough to judge his physical condition. He must know he is locked in a shed so he must have some clue that he is not free to leave. Since Celia and Ray seem to be away from the farm a lot, unless there is an "overseer" on the farm, he cannot be doing much work. If they just leave him to get on with work when they are not there there would be nothing to stop him leaving.
Wow this show is getting too grim for me. I might be sticking with recaps for awhile and only tune in if there is an episode that is a bit lighter.
I must have missed an episode as Friday was the first time I remember seeing Bear and apart from Anya I have not seen any other slaves. The door was definitely locked as we saw him unlock it with a key, there was also a bolt on the outside of the door, and he locked it again when he left. Judging by the way Celia would not let Paddy inspect the chickens, I am beginning to think there is no chickens. In fact I think the farm is just a front for the drug dealing, so not sure what work would need to be done.
no explanation of why bear left the village and was angry before ray took him in
instead of you've got to pick a pocket or two, you've got stay here, oliver twist with adults
Good news on the horizon
I can imagine this all leading back to Joe, who was connected with Celia at some point. After the illegal organ harvesting, the ordering stabbings, and being responsible for the deaths of three people and just getting away with it, I'd like to think there is some story planned that he gets his. At the time, I did wonder whether his fallout with Celia was real, and I still question whether she has a boss herself, and it's Joe.
Celia and Ray must be held up as shining examples of how enterprising people can set up small businesses. Not content to just deal in drugs they also have modern slavery and a pimping businesses. I am surprized that Celia can find the time to stroll about with that stick over her shoulder, and Ray has time to woo Laurel.
At times they are turning soaps, which are on going dramas, into those types of drama series where once a story is told, it is over, forgotten, and has no bearing on future stories. The amount of forgiveness and forgetfulness involving Joe would never happen in the real world.
bear could barely stand and move and next was back up, out working, you'd think he would have knocked out Ray, it looked only celia and Ray at the farm overseeing the chickens and turkeys
Bear is a bit like SuperMack all over again. This is a serious subject but it deserves better treatment than it is being given here. This like a budget version which dilutes any serious message that they are trying to deliver. The bit that makes me laugh is the zombie like characters walking about in the background carrying bags of chichen feed. A Down's Syndrome man added in the name of diversity, I find this bit patronizing. Ray has now become all assertive and bullying instead of nice Ray trying to sweet talk April into doing things she does not want to do. There is just nothing about this story that feels authentic.
hopefully now we will see robert go get seb
So Kev is Lewis' father. What are the chances:rolleyes:
