[QUOTE=Perdita;1042442]where does the barton name come in, Debbie's short short marriage to pete

In 2018, Debbie hired a man to attack Joe Tate but he accidentally threw acid in Ross' face. Ross used this information to blackmail Cain into handing over the garage to him or he would go to the police. When Cain refused he instead settled for a joint partnership, reopening it as "Barton and Dingle Automotives
we had this storyline with charity, there is other characters besides dingles
The scenes with April being forced into prostitution are painful to watch. That lech standing over her looked so much like Harvey Weinstein. I don't know whether that was the intent, but it's how I saw it.
I don't usually see scenes like this with actors who are minors. Typically an older actor who just looks younger plays the part. It was very disturbing.
so celia is rays mother, a pimp drug madam egg farmer
how did april get back to the village from the hotel and celia conveniently greets her
jimmy or nico should have asked joe about the crash he caused killing 3 and kidney stealing , how are these forgot about
why has charles taken in kev
does dylan know april is being pimped out?
I am beginning to wonder if Celia and Ray are portraying a realistic picture of how drug dealers operate. We have seen Ray paying other teenage lads, but usually only for helping him ensnared April into working for him. Why doesn't he just use these lads to deal the drugs? Now we see Ray moving into sex trafficing pimping April to a man who buys a small amount of coke, where is the benefit to him in doing this? I am not a drug dealer, but I would imagine it is better to keep it simple, the more complicated it is, the more people involved, the greater the chance of getting caught.
I have gone back and looked at Lydia's party again, when the police turned up Joe convinced them he was on a flight to the States at the time of the crash, and that he did have a kidney transplant in Chicago, so apart from the dingles the rest of the village seem to have accepted this story. So it would not be appropriate for Nico to ask about the limo crash as she does not believe he was to blame.
When the police came to the party to question Joe, he showed them a plane ticket on his phone. They seemed to accept this as proof he was not in the country when the limo crash occured. Though I think they did say they would have to verify this, if they, did I think it must have happened of camera. When people asked to see if Joe had a scar to prove whether he had a kidney transplant or not, it was Kim who said he did, but the operation had taken place in the States. I suppose Joe or his dodgy doctor must have managed to produce some dodgy paperwork to substantiate these claims, but again, I think off camera. Most people seemed to accept that Joe, while not exactly innocent, was not guilty. So apart from the Dingles and Manpreet no one in the village knows what Joe has done, and they cannot say anything.
Unless a character is leaving their sins can never fully exposed. Personally I think major characters should be exposed more often and be seen to be punished. I never used to believed that what was seen on TV affected what happens in real life, but now I am not so sure.
Not sure why the first two posts were quoted, I did not select them on this occassion. Must be a carry over from my previous post. Took three attempts to post this, first two simply disappeared suddenly, so just glad I was finally successful.
No Sam, having a prostate test, will not in itself make any difference to needing a waz in the night. That is more likely to be the amount of beer you drink.
did Joe plant that illegal or one of ray and celias
I thought it was Joe, as it seemed too much of a coincidence that they found her when he was there.
The police did not think it suspicious that Joe was there when they came to interview Caleb?
Ruby lights up my screen and I am loving her kindness to Anna. I just bet this is tying into the Ray and Celia story.
nico about joe's heart being harvested was funny, joe must be very guilty about causing amy suzy and leylas deaths
why is billy not involved , joe is featuring way more in this
kev will be healed in hotten miracle general in no time
john will return to heal kev
I do hope we do not have to put up with nasty, angry Aaron for long. We have seen enough of that in the past.
vinny got roomates in lewis and ross, how long until lewis and vinny get together, will kammy move in too
The more I see of Ray, the more I wonder why he has not already been banged up in the chokey Why did he not just keep the bag on him, he had no need to try and hide it. As for getting it back he just needs to say he dropped it and ask for it back. He seems to be over complicating every thing for no reason.
I'm feeling very sick with this story of child human trafficking and the prospect of April getting raped. I hope that new female officer overseas something and becomes a hero in this story, because the show has become very unpleasant to watch with this theme.
I'm also wondering whether I am missing everything. April keeps talking about danger to Leo. Marlon and Rhona keep talking about April and Leo. But how about Ivy? Why aren't we seeing her? Last I remember, they had custody while Gus was in prison.
laurel has it bad for Ray
did jai get new hair?
if only april would think to phone swirling or the detective who helped put away tom king
April is young and does not have the experience or the confidence to stand up to Celia and Ray. But in reality from what we have seen this is a small family business, which apart from a few "drama school teens" does not have any real gangstery types working in it. When Ray collected the cannabis Robert sold him did he have any henchmen with him. All in all I do not think they are making a good job of how the drugs world operates.
They really do have to try harder with the old locked in a room together trope. When a door handle comes off in your hand, and the square connecting rod falls into the room on your side of the door, even Kerry and Jai must realise all you have to do is replace it and open the door.
Poor April :crying:
I really hate the way Emmerdale has gone. It used to be an interesting story of every day farming with families battling the elements and other problems to live a decent life in the Yorkshire countryside, just getting by. Now we have no real farming, homicidal maniacs, drug mules and pimps trying to prostitute a very young girl, who looks no more than 13 or 14 years old, and a Madam talking about a cull if she doesn't do what she's told. I am getting very close to dumping Emmerdale altogether.
