This is what I want too! I think it's possible for Ross to have a mentor out there who built him the way he is and taught him all the tricks and introduced him to his contacts.

Yep I remember Donna reading out all the crimes Ross had gotten away with, he couldnt of just left home and pulled all of them off on his own. We did see Ross' old boss one time when Cain and Marlon went looking for Laurel. I know he was just a mechanic but so is Cain and he has been horrible in the past. Maybe they will cast someone from Ross' past to join the show in order to show why he is the way he is today.

Great news about the new deal :)
I really want to know more about why he is the way he is. We have seen snippets but then it's just left again. Like how James wasn't there for Ross as much as Pete. And the reveal about his mum trying to kill him as a baby was pretty much over in a flash too. Need to go deeper with that. Also He must have loads of people looking out for him from his past that we don't see on screen as he has got away with a lot and I would imagine that would be difficult without having alibis etc. Having someone from his past coming up and revealing something that maybe his family don't even know could be interesting
I've always wanted them to do a storyline when it turns out that James isn't actually Ross' dad. My theory is that Emma never had PTSD and what she done to Ross was because of her guilt of cheating on James. That would also explain why Ross is so different to James and his brothers. It would also be so much better than the James is Adams dad storyline.

A lot of new spoilers about Emma / Charity over Moses and i'm not completly sure whether Ross is sucsseful in getting the go ahead with claiming his son but this one from DS gives me a bit of hope.
Meanwhile, Rakesh gives Ross some forms to sign to get him on Moses's birth certificate.
Airs 04 February.

Emma's getting way too pushy over Moses. Ross can make decisions himself.
I don't mind Emma being pushy, i mean she's just watching out for her only grandchild.
What I don't get is the inconsistency of this storyline at the moment. When Moses was taken to hospital after nearly drowning, we all saw how Ross actually loves his son. I thought the whole point of that was to show that to the viewers. However, since then we've gone back to him palming Moses off with other characters (such as James and Pete) commenting and pointing it out so the viewers will think that he doesn't care.

I'm just sick of seeing Cain on his high horse all the time blaming Ross for Debbie leaving. Ross didn't make Debbie cheat on Pete, he also didn't make her invite him into her home. How long are Debbie and most of the other Dingles going to be untouchable? Also how can Ross never put up a fight against Cain? He is younger, fitter and has a much bigger build and he also was an unbeaten bare knuckle fighter. Yet he can't stand up for himself against Cain?

Although I'm glad that it's now been stated in tonight's episode that Ross has become attached to Moses, i wish they would show scenes of Ross bonding with his son. All we ever see is him palming Moses off for someone else to look after!
So now Ross has been given the okay from Charity to be on Moses birth certificate but the spoilers are still unclear as to whether that's still going to be okay as Charity soon starts blackmailing Emma.
I hope the rivalry between Charity and Emma doesn't affect Ross being a dad.

I'm glad Ross is getting put on the birth certificate. I doubt Charity is going to want Moses 24/7 and she would probably have him being looked after by everyone else anyway so may aswell split the time with his actual dad. It was really nice seeing Ross and his dad discussing it tonight. James for a while there seemed a bit distant from what was happening with this situation and more interested in what Adam was doing. Maybe Pete being away is going to help James and Ross' relationship a little.
Charity kept only mentioning her son Noah when talking to Emma, nothing about Moses, if she don't want him then let Ross have full custody with Emma and James helping him but I don't think having a baby in a garage is good
I have a feeling this may become a long running storyline. There's probably going to be a custody battle.
Yea this could well be a big long running story. Maybe this is what makes Debbie come back eventually
well at last! Ross had a scene with Moira and they weren't having a go at each other. That's one of my requests for Ross done for this year.
It seems that Ross' friendship with Kirin might never happen though now after tonight's episode and the news that Adam Fielding is leaving.

ross joking at kerry and dan's sexcapes was funny
It was good but a bit weird. Sometimes I think it's more the actors laughing and joking in filler scenes like that rather than the characters. even Adam was there. You forget that they are brothers lol. I do kinda wish they get on better though and we did get more scenes with them all. Actually even though Moira thinks he is a pain in the backside she does seem to still have time for him
What on earth was up with tonight's episode?
3 seconds of Ross with no lines. Surely there was a deleted scene somewhere or maybe it was just to bring his episode count up?

Look, no Emmerdale scenes for even any one second have no purpose.
Ross showed in the Friday 12th Feb episode for about 3 seconds from a distance from Kirin, seemingly as a reminder that Ross knows about Kirin's dodgy car.
Aww, c'mon, keep up! You're supposed to be a true Ross Barton Fan!
IMO, Ross really sucks and when he shows on ITV TV, he really completely does my head in for now! (Ross is now always going to forever it seems to be that always Urrggh Guy maybe for me!!). Maybe I should [probably successfully] sue ITV for doing my head in so much over this? ITV so sucks right now from 7pm on weekdays...Ross just sucks, forever... (there's really no unforgiveable doubt on this IMO.)
For the record, I totally detest suckbag Ross Barton right now and there is no possible come-back, definitely never forever within my lifetime, it seems right now.
I stand by every word I have ever posted here about Ross Barton on soapboards.co.uk.
Ross Barton has been for me since August 2015 "That Urrrr Guy!!" for me. Oh how I wish he was really dead back then so I (we?) would have been so happy that our cheeky chappie had bought it from cheeky chappie Pete's punch? If only I'd been a Ross recent storyliner back then then things might have been so very different I really would have made, prior to this, Ross to be another fun cheeky chappy and likeable guy on Emmerdale!
I've sort of really hated Ross Barton since August 2015. Actor Mike Parr really needs to "up his game" and to prove himself as any kind of respectable ambassador for Merseyside. There are many great people in Merseyside right now but Mike Parr really does not represent these right now, I reckon, IMO.
As for Mike Parr being a tourist attraction for Merseyside for Merseyside Tourist Board? Well, what a complete joke, I reckon. #nohero #mikeparrsucksformerseyside #wereallyneedanotherhero
