Taped it, saw it and started crying when Nana met William and coud not help myself. beautifully done, with great respect to the producers and actors. The flashbacks were great, at the end I did not recognise it as eastenders and stopped the video,thinking it allready ended, have to watch the end on sunday!!!!:crying: :crying:
Yeah a very good episode, far better than what Corrie had to offer, EE comes out the clear winner, excellent,did anyone expect that fella playing Sid to come out saying 'No, No, No, No, Yes' just like he does in the Vicar of Dibley?. Well done to all involved, I actually cried.

THE BEST EVER EPI from EE in I dont know how long, Shane was EXCELLENT as was Hilda Braid (Nana). The restraunt scene was heart wrenching, he knew even then that she was dying and didnt want to admit it, so when he went to the beach and explained it all to Sid it had me in tears too.
WONDERFUL flashbacks, best ever, how they met and loved each other on sight, the end scene at the grave was so heart wrenching, 'Do you think he'll recognise me? I mean he's so young and I'm so old'
'As soon as he sees your beautiful smile, he'll says 'There's my girl''
Hope Sarah Phelps is writing the xmas scenes, and no one else she should write like that more often they are good.

Some episodes they have done seem a lot less soap-like, and more serious drama like.
I thought the flashbacks were good, likewise with the episode before Zoe's departure. The bit with the microphone when Billy told everyone about Alfie and Little Mo I thought was a bit silly though.
I thought it was excellent. So sad. I had a similar relationship with my Gran, and it bought back some sad memories for me. I think this is one that EE is doing very very well.
