INT. SINGHS HOUSE - MORNING

Iqbal is sat in the kitchen eating his breakfast, Sanjita comes into the room holding the post.

Iqbal: Oh anything for me?

Sanjita: Yeah, there you go...

Sanjita hands Iqbal his post, and opens her letter. She looks at it with a smile on her face.

Iqbal: (Jokes) Had a win on the premium bonds?

Sanjita: No, much better than that!

Iqbal: What?

Sanjita: My decree absolute! Me and Kash are now officially divorced! :D

Iqbal: Wow babe that's fantastic!

Iqbal gets up and hugs Sanjita.

Sanjita: Which means we can now see about planning the wedding! :D

Iqbal swings Sanjita around the room, overjoyed, he kisses her on the lips, the pair are beaming at the news...

INT. RED RUM UPSTAIRS FLAT - NIGHT

Amy is back at the flat, it is evident she has just told Patrick about the arrangement.

Patrick: 40 grand!? Have you lost the plot!

Amy: There's no need to go off on one, I know what I'm doing Patrick...

Patrick: Need I remind you what happened with Hayley!? You're willing to waste even more money, this time on a complete stranger!?

Amy: She wont have an abortion, it's against her beliefs, besides she's eight months pregnant...

Patrick: And what if she decides to keep the baby!?

Amy: She wont, and she's only getting the money once she's handed the baby over to us...I've cleared it with my solicitors, so there's nothing to worry about...

Patrick: Solicitors!? Jesus Christ Amy this is ludicruous! You can't seriously expect me to believe this is going to work out do you!?

Amy: I don't care Patrick! Like it or not we're having this baby! So get used to okay!?

Amy storms off downstairs to work behind the bar, Patrick is left unsure of what to say or do to make Amy rethink...

INT. SINGH'S HOUSE - NIGHT

Sanjita and Iqbal are curled up on the sofa, the lights are dimmed and some gental music is playing. They are drinking wine whilst looking through bridal catalouges.

Sanjita: I always dressed of a white wedding, but Kash insisted we do it traditionally...saris and what not...

Iqbal: Yeah well this time you have the final say, I want this day to be perfect...so stuff the old Indian tradions eh?

Sanjita: You spoil me...

Sanjita gives Iqbal a playful kiss. Andonis walks into the room, having just arrived home, he switches on the light, unaware Sanjita and Iqbal were in there.

Andonis: Sorry, didn't realise... what you doing without the telly on?

Iqbal: Conversation, there's more to life than TV :p

Andonis gives Iqbal a sarcastic look.

Sanjita: We're talking about wedding plans, what do you think - white wedding or traditional Indian?

Andonis: I couldn't give a damn...

Sanjita: What's up 'Don?

Andonis: It's barely been five seconds since your divorce from dad's come through and you're already talking about getting married...and to his brother!

Sanjita: With all due respect son I think it's up to me when I get married, and who to...it has nothing to do with you!

Andonis: It does when you're living under my father's roof! God the pair of you make me sick! :angry:

Andonis storms off upstairs. Sanjita and Iqbal look at one another, concerned yet angered by what Andonis has just said...

INT. JENKINS MANOR - DAY

Hilary walks into the lounge, where Charlie is sat moodily on the sofa reading a book.

Hilary: Haven't you got cretinous little freinds to be hanging with?

Charlie: You think I'm stuck in this manky old house by choice? I'm grounded..."until I can show some signs of maturity"...:rolleyes:

Hilary: Ah yes, I imagine you thilthy little habit has earned you some serious thinking time eh...who'd have thought it Charlie's been snorting Charlie...there's a bit of irony if I ever saw it...

Charlie: Yeah, and you've been the one paying for it, wonder what Dad would think of that?

Hilary: I will just deny it...

Charlie: But would they believe you? Especially after I tell them about your sick little secret?

Hilary: Oh for god sake not more money already...

Charlie: No...

Hilary: What then!?

Charlie: I want you to convince Dad and Aunty Tan to give me some freedom...:D

Hilary rolls her eyes, annoyed at herself for getting into this situation...

INT. SINGH'S HOUSE - NIGHT

Sanjita and Iqbal look at one another, concerned yet angered by what Andonis has just said...

Sanjita: How can he defend Kash!? After everything he's done to the whole family!

Iqbal: It's only natural, a lot's happened to him in the past year, he just needs time to get used to the way things are now...

Sanjita: Well it doesn't sound like he wants to, he obviously doesn't think we should be together...

Iqbal: It doesn't matter what he thinks Sanjita!

Sanjita: Of course it does! He's my son! Maybe we shouldn't get married...

Iqbal: You what!?

Sanjita: We have to do what's best for the kids...

Iqbal: For once in your life do what's best for you...

Sanjita: I dont know babe...

Iqbal: (Annoyed) Fine! If you feel like that, stuff the wedding!

Sanjita: Babe, don't take it to heart...

Iqbal: If you want to let that little bugger ruin your future then more fool you!

Iqbal storms out of the house in a huff, Sanjita tries to follow him but he slams the door in her face. She rubs her hands through her hair in stress.

Andonis is sat at the top of the stairs, a grin on his face, having heard the argument...

INT. SINGH'S HOUSE- NIGHT

Andonis: Oh dear....trouble in paradise? :D

Sanjita looks up and sees Andonis sat at the top of the stairs.

Sanjita: Why can't you just be happy for us eh?! Kash made me a prisoner for all these years, never truly loved me or cared for me, then he raped me and tried to kill me! So i'm sorry if i don't want to get back together to the man that made my life absolute hell! :rolleyes:

Andonis is taken aback by Sanjita's speech. Sanjita notices this.

Sanjita: What!? Truth hurt!? Iqbal is 100 times the man your father ever was! You know what Andonis, i don't care what you think, if you want to idealise a rapist then let it be!

INT. JENKINS MANOR- NIGHT

Hilary: What then!?

Charlie: I want you to convince Dad and Aunty Tan to give me some freedom...

Hilary rolls her eyes, annoyed at herself for getting into this situation...

Hilary: Like hell i'm gonna do that Charlie! Your off the rails! Drugs, sex and god knows what else you get up to! You need some discipline!

Charlie: Need you really want to risk me with your dirty little secret?!

Hilary: I'm sick and tired of your bloody silly little girl thinking! You think you can get the better of me...your wrong! I always win, and you've got to start remembering that young lady!

Charlie: That's it then, i'm telling them...

Hilary: Go on then! See if i care, like they're gonna believe the words of a coke junkie! :rolleyes:

Charlie: You've crossed the wrong "silly little girl" Hilary!

Charlie leaves. Hilary looks concerned.

Oh boy whats Charlie going to do???

INT. SINGH'S HOUSE - NIGHT

Andonis is sat in his room blasting out his music. There is a knock at his door.

Andonis: Go away!

Marcus: I want a word 'Don...

Andonis: Yeah well I dont feel like talking, okay!?

Marcus comes into the room and turns off the music.

Andonis: Oi!

Marcus: It'll only take a minute...

Marcus sits down next to Andonis.

Marcus: Come on, what's hassling you?

Andonis: Dad...I can't just stop loving him...I feel like I'm the only one fighting his corner...

Marcus: It's only natural to care 'Don, but don't take it out on Sanjita and Iqbal, they've done nothing wrong...nothing but care for you...let them be happy...

Andonis: It just feels like I should be doing something! Saying something! That's all...

Marcus: Yeah well this just isn't you 'Don, you're a nice lad...your dad has messed up this family big time, but we need to stick together and get on with things the best we can...

Andonis: I suppose...

Marcus: There's no suppose about it mate, no ones saying you have to stop loving your dad, but just try and show your mom and Iqbal a bit of respect from now on yeah?

Andonis nods breifly.

Marcus: Good lad, come here...

The pair hug one another, Marcus there for Andonis...

INT. JENKINS MANOR - DAY

Tanya is sitting in the longue, on the phone to a friend.

Tanya: How about a pampering session at the spa tomorrow, that should lift your spirits a bit... ok I'll pick you up about 10...great...see then you :D

Tanya hangs up. Charlie walks into the room, looking a bit pale faced.

Charlie: Aunty Tan...can I have a word...

Tanya: (Understanding) Yeah sure, but first I don't want to snap but from now on can you try and make an effort to behave yourself...it's really got your dad down seeing you like this...

Charlie: I know what I've done is wrong, and I'm going to try and behave from now on...

Tanya: I hope you'll do more than just "try" Charlie...

Charlie: Yeah of course, but look Aunty Tan I really need to tell you something....

Tanya: Go then, what is it?

Charlie: I'm not 100% sure, but I think Hilary has been trying to send uncle Richard crazy...

Tanya immeditaley turns her attentions to what Charlie has told her, shocked and taken aback by what her neice has just told her...

INT. SINGH'S HOUSE- DAY

Iqbal returns home after spending the night out. He enters the kitchen where Sanjita is standing there.

Sanjita: You've been out all night!

Iqbal: Yeah...well, i had to clear my head...

Sanjita: Anyway, now your back, i want to say that i'm sorry..

Iqbal: Only say it if you mean it Sanjita! I don't want to be messed about!

Sanjita: I mean it Iqbal! I'm sorry, you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I’d be a fool if I didn’t get with you!

Sanjita and Iqbal share a kiss. Andonis suddenly walks into the kitchen.

Andonis: Look, i want to say i'm sorry..i'm happy for you to get married.

Sanjita and Iqbal smile at Andonis, pleased that they have his approval. They all share a family hug.

INT. JENKINS MANOR- DAY

Charlie: I'm not 100% sure, but I think Hilary has been trying to send uncle Richard crazy...

Tanya immeditaley turns her attentions to what Charlie has told her, shocked and taken aback by what her neice has just told her...

Tanya: What?! :eek:

Charlie: Look don't get mad at me Aunty Tan but i've been getting Hilary sedatives...

Tanya: What the bleedin' hell does Hilary want with sedatives?!

Charlie: I don't know, but i overheard Craig and Hilary talking, and Craig said to Hilary about her slipping Richard gaga pills, and that's what made me suspect her Aunty Tan! And sedatives slow down reactions right!?

Tanya: Yes....yes your right! And that would explain everything...

Charlie: You've got to know Aunty Tan, that i didn't realise what Hilary wanted the sedatives for! If i knew she was drugging Richard, i would never have got them for her!

Tanya: Look Charlie, you've done the right thing telling me, but please do me a favour, don't breathe a word of this to anyone, not until i've looked into this...

Tanya looks at Charlie, determined to bring Hilary down.

Nice one Charlie... Hilary is going to get it big from Tanya!!! can't wait for the showdown!!

INT. SINGH'S HOUSE- MORNING

Iqbal, Sanjita and Marcus are sat in the living room all dressed up smart ready to attend Ruby's trial.

Sanjita: I can't believe this is happening! I just can't believe this is happening! Ruby's done nothing wrong, it's that **** Kyle!

Iqbal: Now come on, it's all going to be ok, we know Ruby's innocent and the courts will realise she's innocent too!

Sanjita: I hope your right Iqbal, i really hope your right...

Iqbal holds Sanjita's hand. Iqbal, Sanjita and Marcus leave for the courts, heads held high, determined that Ruby will be found innocent.

INT. LYNNE'S HOUSE- DAY

Amy arrives at Lynne's house. She has shopping bags in her hands full of baby clothes. Lynne answers the door to Amy and lets her in.

Amy: Sorry, i got a bit carried away with the shopping...the excitement is seriously killing me Lynne! I can't thank you enough!

Lynne: I haven't got much of a choice though really have I?!

Amy: Look, i've been thinking...i'd feel a lot better if you stayed with me and Patrick, at least until the baby is born..

Lynne: Why? Don't you trust me for one month more!?

Amy: Just call it an insurance policy...

Lynne: In case you've forgotten, i need the money so i won't be running off!

There's an uneasy pause.

Amy: So...what do you say?

Lynne: I guess it won't do no harm...

Amy smiles at Lynne, delighted she has accepted her offer. Lynne smiles back at Amy, weakly.

Oh boy is this the end of the line for Hilary???

INT. BAYMOORE LESUIRE CENTRE – WINEBAR – DAY

Leah walks into the bar, having just finished work at the gym.

Michelle: Hiya Leah, what can I get you?

Leah: A glass of dry white please ‘Shell…

Michelle: Coming up…

Leah runs her hand through her hair and takes a deep sigh, tired from her hard day at work.

Stuart: Worn out already?

Leah turns, and sees Stuart standing at the bar.

Leah: Oh, well if it isn’t Mr Moody…

Stuart: Yeah about that, I’m sorry…just wasn’t my day…

Leah: Sure :p, we all know it’s because you couldn’t hack it :p

Stuart looks Leah up and down, a smile on his face.

Stuart: Oh believe me, I can hack it…look can I get you a drink?

Leah: Hmmm, I don’t know…

Stuart: Go on, just the one…

Leah: Okay then :)

INT. TORBAY LAW COURTS - DAY

Ruby and her lawyer are sat in one of the court offices. Ruby is sat at the table, with the lawyer pacing the room.

Ruby: Look, how do you see this going?

Lawyer: The chances are grim, Mr Williams has laid a lot on you...

Ruby: Too right, and I'll be damned if I go down for what he did!

Lawyer: You have to deny anything that the prosecution throw at you...

Ruby: You make it sound like I'm gonna admit to it!

Lawyer: Well that would be the better option if you ask me...

Ruby: Why will I admit to something I havent done!?

Lawyer: Becuase in terms of this case it looks like you did, at least if you change your plee they may be a bit more leniant on your sentance...

Ruby: No way! Now listen up, my parents are paying you a pricey sum, so make sure I get off!

Lawyer: I'll do my best, but it's up to the jury to decide...we just have to hope for the best...

Hilary is going to be one sorry lady when Tanya gets a hold of her. And what about Ruby will she be found gulity and go down?

Poor Ruby.. she is going to go down.. Kyle well and trully stitched her up... Amy is gone bonkers..

Stuart: Ah, that's a shame, why are all the good ones always taken?

Leah: Becuase we're worth taking :cool:

Stuart: Well whoever he is I hope he treats you right...

Leah: (Uneasy) Yeah...yeah he does...

Stuart: You sound unsure about that...

Leah: (Stern) He does...

Stuart: Well if he ever stops...

Leah: Look I think I'd best go...

Stuart: Leah, wait!

Leah hurries off, flustered by Stuart's advance.

INT. RED RUM UPSTAIRS FLAT - DAY

Amy and Lynette walk ino the flat, Amy puts Lynne's bags on the floor and helps her into her seat.

Amy: Here, you have a rest, can I get you a drink?

Lynne: No ta, i'm good...

Amy switches on the TV for Lynne and hands her the remote control. Lynne holds her stomach.

Lynne: If I knew how much blooming pain it is to be pregnant, I'd have never had that one night stand, but life is full of "ifs", we have to live with our consequences...

Amy: I admire how you thought of adoption rather than an abortion..

Lynne: It's not like I had a choice, I'm Roman Catholic, my parents have as much said that if I get rid of it they'd disown me...

Amy: I'm sorry to hear that...

Lynne: No your not, it means you can have my baby...you don't give a dman about me, it's just her! (Points to belly) The sooner I have this little turd and get my money the better!

Amy is not impressed by Lynne's cruel words...

INT. TORBAY LAW COURTS- DAY

The Singhs are outside the court, preparing for Ruby's trial to begin. Kyle walks up to them.

Kyle: I just wanted to wish you the best of luck of dealing with the guilty verdict, i understand it's hard for you to accept that a member of your own family commited such an awful crime! :p

Marcus: You *******! Your enjoying this aren't you eh!?

Marcus punches Kyle in the face. Iqbal grabs Marcus and holds him back from Kyle. Kyle wipes his nose as it starts bleeding.

Iqbal: Ruby will be set free...the courts will realise she hasn't done anything!

Kyle smugly grins at the Singhs.

Kyle: I wouldn't be so sure, they prosecute heavily for evasion, after all, it's stealing the state's money!

Iqbal: You won't be so cocky when Ruby gets off and exposes you for what you really are!

Kyle gives the Singhs a patronising look as the case for crown against Ruby Singh is called to start.

INT. RED RUM PUBLIC HOUSE- DAY

Maureen, Lynne's mother storms into the Red Rum and up to the bar. Amy is behind the bar.

Amy: What can I get you?

Maureen: My daughter! I want to speak to her now!

Amy: Erm, i'm sorry..i don't know what your talking about..

Maureen: Don't you dare lie to me!

Maureen goes behind the bar and barges past Amy. Amy cries out.

Amy: You can't go up there!

Maureen: Oh yes i can! I can do what i want where my daughter's concerned!

Maureen storms upstairs, angrily. She enters the living room and sees Lynne on the sofa nursing her bump.

Maureen: I thought you might be here!

Lynne stands up in shock.

Lynne: Mum! What are you doing here!?

Maureen: I'm here to stop you doing something which is morally wrong! Selling your baby Lynne! How dare you even think about it!?

Lynne suddenly looks at Maureen.

Lynne: Oh no! My waters have just broken...

Lynne stands frozen, a shocked and paniced look on her face.

Oh god.. the baby is coming early.. will she still give her baby to Amy???

INT. RED RUM PUBLIC HOUSE- NIGHT

Jon and Mandy are at the bar, happily drinking. We cut to Craig and Leah who are sitting at a booth. Leah is talking to Craig, but Craig is staring into space, clearly not listening to her.

Leah: ..so babe, what do you think?

Craig looks at Leah.

Craig: What?

Leah: For god sake, what's your problem? Have you listened to a word that i've said!?

Craig: My problem is you rabbiting on 24/7! Can't you just give it a rest?!

Leah: (sarcastic) Well i'm sorry Craig...what would you prefer?! That I just cook your meals and be the dutiful girlfriend!? :rolleyes:

Craig: Quite frankly...yes..

Leah looks at Craig angrily and slaps him before storming off. Stuart enters the Red Rum just as she rushes off.

INT. MATERNITY WARD - NIGHT

Amy follows Lynne to the maternity ward. A nurse approaches Amy.

Nurse: I'm sorry, but are you family?

Amy: I'm the baby's adoptive mother.

Nurse: I'm afraid you'll have to go...

Amy: I'm not going anywhere! She's about to give birth to my child!

INTERCUT:

EXT. MATERNITY WARD - NIGHT

Maureen and Patrick are waiting outside for news.

Maureen: You and that Amy, you should be ashamed of harassing my daughter into this immoral act!

Patrick: It was all my Amy's doing! You must understand that i'm not exactly overjoyed of the prospect of me and Amy having a child, but it's what Amy wants!

Maureen: Maybe if you’d been true with her all along, there’d have been no need for any of this madness!

EXT. RED RUM PUBLIC HOUSE - NIGHT

Leah looks at Craig angrily and slaps him before storming off. Stuart enters the Red Rum just as she rushes off.

Stuart promptly steps outside of the pub and chases after Leah.

Stuart: Leah!

Boiled with rage Leah continues walking away.

Stuart: Leah wait!

Stuart grabs hold of Leah to stop her from walking off.

Leah: Get off me!

Stuart: Hey, hey, what's all this? What's happened?

Leah: Just leave me alone Stuart okay!? It has nothing to do with you!

Stuart: Look...you obviously need someone to talk to...

Leah: I don't even know you!

Stuart: Sometimes it's best to talk to strangers...

Stuart puts his hand on her face, the pair look into one anothers eye. Leah notices Craig coming out of the pub in the distance, she pulls away from Stuart.

Leah: This isn't a good idea...

Stuart: Why not?

Leah: For god's sake I'm taken so let's just leave it at that shall we!?

Leah hurries off back towards Craig, Stuart is left alone, feeling concerned for her...

INT. MATERNITY WARD - NIGHT

Lynne is lying on the bed, midway through giving birth. Amy is sat beside her holding her the hand. The midwife is talking to Lynne.

Midwife: Come on darling, just a couple more pushes...

Lynne: Ahhhh! No! I can't! It hurts!

Amy: Come on, be brave Lynne, you can do it...

Midwife: Ok then, give me one last push....come on...

Lynne screws up her face as she gives one final push. The sound of a baby crying can be heard, Amy is overjoyed by the sound of crying.

Midwife: Congratulations it's a little baby girl...

The midwife wraps the baby in a blanket and hands her to Lynne.

Amy: I'll have her if you don't mind...

Amy snatches the baby off Lynne and begins to rock the baby to stop it from crying.

Amy: Awww, isn't she adorable? (hugs baby) Say hello to mommy...

Lynne: Can I hold her?

Amy: I don't think that's wise Lynne...

Lynne: She's my daughter! I gave birth to her!

Amy: No. We've agreed I'm her mom, and in a couple of hours time it will be official...

Amy makes a fuss of the baby, as Lynne looks on, feeling disheartened...

Could this be a start of a new relationship between Leah and Stuart???
If so god help Stuart when Craig learns the truth!!!

Poor Lynne.. Amy is a cow...
Stuart better find out more about Craig before he makes a move on Leah!!

INT. RED RUM PUBLIC HOUSE - NIGHT

Iqbal and Sanjita enter the Red Rum and go to the bar. They have sad looks on their faces. Everyone looks at the pair, concerned over how things went. Iqbal starts shouting.

Iqbal: If you all want to know...it didn't go well ok?! So stop gawping at us!

Kyle suddenly enters the Red Rum with a smug look on his face. He goes up to the bar.

Kyle: A vodka and tonic please..

Amy: You best go! Your not welcome here Kyle...

Kyle: Fine! Stick this poxy pub and you narrow-minded fools! I'll go elsewhere..

Kyle storms out of the Red Rum.

INT. MATERNITY WARD - MORNING

Lynne is in bed resting, the baby is in the baby ward for observations. Maureen walks in slowly, approaching her daughter...

Maureen: Hiya love, how you bearing up?

Lynne: I've been better...

Maureen: And what about the baby, how is she doing?

Lynne: It's not my responsibility...

Maureen: It's not too late to go back on it love...

Lynne: I can't have a baby Mom, not at my age, I want to live a bit first.

Maureen: Me and your dad would help you bring her up...

Lynne: It's a done deal, I can't go back on it now, It'd break Amy's heart, and besides I need the money...

Maureen: You need to learn that some things are more important than money Lynne! Take a long hard think about what you want because after you sign those papers over, you can kiss goodbye to any rights you have to that baby...

EXT. RED RUM PUBLIC HOUSE - NIGHT

Kyle walks out of the pub, a spring in his step and a smug smile on his face. A few moments later Iqbal storms out of the pub, and marches after Kyle...

Iqbal: Kyle!

Kyle continues to walk off, purposefully blanking Iqbal.

Iqbal: Oi! Kyle! I want a word!

Kyle: Really? Becuase I have nothing to say to you!

Iqbal grabs Kyle and swing him around, he raises his fist.

Kyle: Go on, hit me, join your daughter behind bars!

Iqbal: If she goes down I will kill you!

Marcus rushes over to Iqbal, and pulls him away.

Marcus: Come on Dad! Kyle isn't worth it!

Marcus drags Iqbal off, Iqbal casts Kyle a dirty look. Kyle brushes up his suit and walks off, the smug smile remaining on his face...

INT. MATERNITY WARD - NIGHT

Amy and Patrick are in the ward.

Amy: (overwhelmed) Well....who would have thought of this eh?! Us...parents! This is the happiest day of my life! What shall we call her?! I was thinking, erm, Holly...

Patrick: Yeah, ok..whatever...

Amy: What's up?! You should be happy! Your finally a daddy!

Patrick: It isn't the same though is it?! It feels different when it's your own...

Amy: It's the best we can hope for, we need to make the most of what we have, give little Holly a lovely and happy upbringing...

Amy smiles at Patrick. Patrick looks on, unsure.

I get the feeling that Lynne and her mum are going to do an about turn on the adoption thing....

Amy is going to be heading for heartbreak - I can see it coming.....

Ruby is standing in the dock. On the other side of the room, the Singhs are sitting in the public gallery, praying Ruby will get off. The jury come back in, they've reached a verdict. The barrister stands.

Barrister: Can the foreman please stand?

The foreman stands.

Barrister: Have you reached a verdict in which you have all agreed?

Foreman: Yes we have....

Barrister: Do you find the defendant, Ruby Singh, guilty or not guilty of fraud and tax ivasion?

We cut to Ruby. She is a bag of nerves. We cut to the Singhs who are praying the verdict is a good one.

Foreman: Guilty...

The Singhs look on, shocked at the verdict. We cut to Kyle, who has a smug look on his face. We cut to Ruby, she looks absolutely devastated. Iqbal starts crying and shouts out.

Iqbal: (upset) This...this is an outrage! Ruby isn't guilty of anything! She was set up! It was him! (points to Kyle) That ******* Kyle!

Judge: Please keep quiet or you'll be in contempt of court...we will return shortly to give Ruby Singh an appropriate sentence for her crime..
