I don't think Anna's going down was necessarily for Phelan, but because the writers couldn't really do anything else except kill Anna off. Faye is legally her responsibility and would otherwise have to leave with her.
That said I'd have preferred that they find her not guilty of the attack on Seb, and send her down for attacking Eileen, going on the run and having that phone instead.
How did the judge not have Pat Phelan done for tauting Anna in the court and Anna found details of the job he was on when Seb fell but her brief never asked about that
The case had more holes than a packet of polo mints
As for Bethany, I would slap her
Has Coronation Street turned into HollyOaks sorry Coronation Oaks? with that incidental music/montage at the end seemed out of place.
Apart from that it was a very good episode (if not cheesey) and had me wanting to watch until the end. So it did it's job in that respect. An enjoyable double bill tonight that had me hooked.
P.S Eileen deserves everything that is coming to her.
