True, but he was amusing, and certainly not a gangster, although some might say he was a bit of a villain at times.

Do know exactly what criminal dealings Becky was involved in?
I think our Government should send someone on a fact-finding mission to the foreign country that is Weatherfield to find out how they manage to deal with their court cases so quickly and how their hospitals can see patients in A&E instantly.
As if all she did Becky would plead guilty and accept 12 years in prison as a police woman, why no trial for her and Costello shown on screen
Justice comes quick in Weatherfield sometimes. A few days ago Becky the dead peeler was walking about, kidnapping, visiting senior officers apparently free as a bird. Nobody attempted to arrest her. Even Kit the Twit didn't know she was a fugitive. All of a sudden Betsy Boo visits her and she pleads guilty to some previously undiscussed crime gets convicted and sentenced to 12 yrs. No probation reports, no victim impact statements. Locked up key thrown away all over the weekend without even a court appearance. Justice is rapid in Starmers Britain
I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out what exactly Becky has done, however, I just could not watch this whole storyline with any interest so I do not know.. Costello was involved at some time, I am sure, but what they did escapes me... and why did Becky threaten Lisa that she would take her down too if she got jailed??
Personally I do not think we will ever know, the full story, I do not think any one will, especially the writers. Was Becky and Costello taking kickbacks from the Curtis's? If I remember right! Becky was undercover in the Curtis gang to get them sent down, so it cannot have been that. When Becky "died" to escape the Curtises I thought officers more senior than Costello were in on the plot. None of it ever made any sense. It seems to be the way in Soaps nowadays, where they just hint at things without ever fully explaining what is going on, or ever taking the time and effort to work out a credible story. Then when they have dragged it out long enough, simply wrap it up quickly and hope we will be happy about it.
They leave things deliberately open ended and ambiguous so that 4 or 5 years down the line they can recycle the Becky/ Curtis storyline in some new "explosive" plot that is sure to "rock the cobbles". It will probably involve Betsy Boo falling head over heels in love with the spawn of Becky which resulted from a one night stand with some high profile drug dealer
no shock surprise debbie as carls real mother, he can inherit it all now
was the crash actually fully investigated, how are aaron and becky who crashed first not in trouble too
If lots of Crash, Bang, Wallop makes a good episode, the the Corriedale episode was a success, if you want an episode that was credible and believable then it was an absolute failure. As usual we had action and drama over substance. It is ridiculous than Debbie has been charged and appeared before a full investigation of the crash. Never have so many people been driving at speed through the night without looking at the road ahead. All of them kept turning away to talking (or shout) at their passengers. Even when they did look at the road ahead none of them noticed the stationary headlights of the first two cars to crash, but simply ploughed on into them. The police seem to have paid no attention to Kevin saying Carl was driving.
One other thing puzzled me, Aaron was forcing John to drive to Hotten Police, but I have always had the impression that Emmerdale was reasonably close to Hotton. The local bus takes people to school and the hospital, so it does not seem a long distance to me. But when John and Aaron left it was still daylight, then we saw them driving up a long incline, as the sun was setting, like they were crossing the moors, then driving on into the darkness of the night, as if it was a much longer journey.
I'm not an expert in how symptoms of dementia show and at what rate the individual deteriorates, but when Debbie first started showing signs, there were fairly regular occurrences of memory loss, which, indeed, is why she sought medical help. After diagnosis there were also signs of memory loss, but, since then, for a period of weeks if not months, there haven't been any signs or lapses of memory that I can think of.
On a similar theme with Debbie, she is now doing all she can to protect Carl - mother's instinct - but before it became a "thing", she wasn't seen as so supportive, especially at the time of Kevin and Abi's break up.
It's a good thing the scriptwriters are so flexible to fit in with the needs of the producer's whims!
I have rewatched several times, and cannot tell what it was that Carl crashed into. Presumably it was the bus which is why Debbie is charged with killing Billy. But it was not the crash that killed him it was the fire, and the van had crashed before Carl's car hit it, so cannot see how Deebbie could solely be held responsible for his death. Was Debbie breathalysed at the scene, she was up and walking so should not have needed blood tests at the hospital.
why is summer or anyone not mad at carla and lisa over billy
will is annoying even for a groom victim
Good to see the coincidences continue. Carla entering the cafe just as her name is mentioned, Will arriving just as Daniel and Megan hug, Brian sitting in the cafe to witness the Nina/Roy contretemps and knowing it is the anniversary of Hayley's death tomorrow…
What is it with Lauren's attitude???
