Why was Gary with Lou in a back alley at night? Did she phone him at Anna's, and ask him to meet her, or did they just accidentally bump into when he arrived back. What reason did Lou give for Gary being injured, surely the police would have been informed and carried out some sort of investigation. I cannot think of any good innocent explanation that Lou could have offered for Gary 's injury.
She gave an explanation to the nurse last night, saying Gary fell from a ladder or something. But that was obviously complete nonsense. The paramedics and the doctors examining him would have seen he had been whacked on the head with a heavy object and presumably would have informed the police. In any case, being found in suspicious circumstances like he was, the paramedics and/or the hospital would have informed the police immediately.
Also, would the hospital not want his GP details, his NHS number, current medication and all sorts of other things that his "wife" would have had to fill in on the admission form? None of it, apparently, being followed up in all the time he has been there.
The whole scenario is complete and utter nonsense.
Billy was very quiet when James found out about the christening. I am not religious but attended church every Sunday when I was young. So saw many christenings. I remember that parents and god parents had to make promises to bring up the child in the ways of God and the church. Bit difficult for James if he was not there. I also seem to remember that parents and god parents had to attend pre baptism classes. If Adam and Alya were the god parents, I am not sure a muslim can be a god parent to a Christian child.
I only watch Corrie and Emmerdale... they are both very similar and I have no doubt that the other soaps are of a similar ilk... The producers/scriptwriters have run out of ideas because they started to rush into dramatic storylines too fast and too often.. there are no happy living episodes showing couples and their families sitting at a table, talking how school was for the kids, what everyone would like for tea/dinner, talking about the upcoming football tournament, the price of fish and chips these days ... not a whole episode, of course, but just a few brief scenes with a bit of humour thrown in. I think it would make soap life more realistic and more human again, like it used to be... we have had too many OTT storylines, a lot of them badly executed and acted. Just my opinion, of course.
Absolutely spot on, Perdy.
Must be complicated being Kevin, trying to remember who he has told he is better, and who he has told he is not.
And there was me thinking Corrie couldn't get any more ridiculous. What do I know?

I was hoping that when Mick went up onto the roof, he would not be using the stairs on the way down.
Where did Mick find the money to flee abroad, or even to pay the laundry van driver, he was always skint.
I thought they were using their own official passports, which would make the whole sorry tale all the more ridiculous. Has Mick never heard of an "All Ports Alert"? Did he just think they would get a ferry or fly out of the country without the authorities noticing?
Did Mick take his phone with him when he escaped? If so, did the police not take it from him when he was arrested? If not, if he left it in his cell, did the police not search it, to see if he had a phone to arrange his escape? Or has he just got another phone?
Maria doesn't seem to do much council work or go to many meetings. I wonder if her voters know.
Sorry, duplicate post!
I have to admit that I don't understand the Aadi storyline. The shop was ?6,000 in debt. He managed to save ?6,000 from the shop and put it in the safe so it could be stolen and he could claim it on the insurance. Why didn't he just use the ?6,000 he'd saved to pay off the debt. I'm sure I am missing something simple here, so would be grateful if someone can tell me what I've missed.
But were they his own savings? He saved the money from the shop, so must be shop profits, and it was his fault since he messed up the ordering. Surely rather than risk jail, better to use the ?6,000 he saved. I for one would not want to get involved in a criminal enterprise with Brody. Especially as it was obvious that it was Brody running away from the shop. Anyway the annual audit will show that the books do not balance.

I sometimes wonder whether the scriptwriters get so far with a storyline, go for lunch and when they are back they cannot quite remember what the first part was about, they might have discussed what else should happen, could happen with a particular story and then forget that they are already half-way through a new tale... ??:hmm:
Just another point on this ?6000, most people pay by card. How long would it have taken for Aadi to build up ?6000 in cash to put under his bed?
Does Dev not have any contact with his daughter Amber anymore?
when did carla start running
Whilst watching Corrie tonight, it occurred to me that I couldn't care less about Todd and Theo, Aadi and Lauren, Karl and Abi, Carla and Lisa, Brody and Lou and the girls.
My continued viewing is hanging by a thread, saved tonight by Debbie and Sally.
I am now becoming a bit more interested in the Theo because of the conversion therapy storyline.. not sure if this has been done in any soap before but I have heard of this happening in real life. I just hope they do it justice, not that I would be able to judge of course
