Am I imagining it or was it not established that Danielle was religious?
I must have dozed off again when it was explained exactly what scam Fiona and Carl are involved in. I have no idea what is going on.
I suppose it's because the Corrie scriptwriters are such poor writers themselves that they underestimate other writers. For a story like the one about George and Eyelash to appear in the newspaper, the journalist who wrote it would have asked them for their comments on the story before publishing it.
It's also highly unlikely the local paper would leave itself open to a libel case without checking the story first.
Does Fiona have a ready supply of MOT failures. Presumably they are quite modern cars otherwise there is no money in it. Modern cars just do not have major MOT fails nowadays. Dodgy garages used to get hold of a stolen book of MOT certificates and just fill them in and sell for more that legit ones. Now it is all done on-line and I am not sure you could get away with it for long. Is Carl a Mot Tester or is he using Kevin's log-in. Not sure if it would be easier just to fix them. Poor Kevin not only has he got cancer, he could be due spell in the choked.

Who is Fiona? The only Fiona I remember was Fiona Middleton, Emma's (Brooker) mother.
You may well ask. She is another one of those random characters, never mentioned before, who just sort of appear. She turned up in Debbie's hotel, as someone from Ronnie's past, that he had some dodgy dealings with. Ronnie chickened out of new dodgy dealings and Carl took advantage of the situation to get involved.
The discovery of Leo's body resulted in the developers pulling out.
Then Ronnie found out that Ed was gambling again. Ed threatened to report Ronnie for insider trading when Ronnie said that Aggie ought to be informed. The following month, their father, Sarge, arrived for a visit and asked to borrow ?2,000 from Ronnie and Ed to set up a food truck back home in Dominica, compounding Ed's financial problems. Ed gambled EdiRon's money on a horse and lost. With the true source of EdiRon's funds coming out during a family argument, Dee-Dee accused Ronnie of whetting Ed's appetite for gambling with his insider trading. She went to the police to report his crime, but changed her mind at the last moment, unable to bring herself to put a family member behind bars. Ronnie wrote off Ed's debt to the business but told his brother that they were finished as partners.
is ed working for gary now?
It seems so. Gary told Maria Ed was starting today. Otherwise they could not have shot that silly time wasting scene with Ed and Liam. I doubt any young person today would fall for the old "elbow grease" trick. Indeed I doubt anyone ever did, more of an urban myth, together with, "left handed hammers" and "long stands". Don't think any of the scriptwriters have ever seen a building site never mind been on one.
When Gary bought the builders yard did he also buy the builders flat, or was that sold to someone a while ago? Who lives there now?
The builders yard appears to be very busy, taking deliveries and stacking materials. It must have a fair wage bill each week. Is Gary now a philanthropist?
A bit like the barber shops by me, two/three staff, no customers and one shop having it's second refit.
Barbers shops possibly money laundering, but I don't think Gary is.
Builders do not buy materials to keep it in stock, especially plaster which goes off, if kept too long. They buy it as and when it is needed for a job, but Gary does not seem to have any jobs on the go.
Tonight's count
1. Ronnie and Leanne just happen to walk into Dev's shop at the same time as Debbie is in there.
2. Brody just happens to walk into Roy's Rolls at the same time as Sean and Dylan are in there.
3. The hospital ring about Kevin's collapse just as Abi and Carl are leaning in for a snog.
sally and glenda doing the rovers books and chatting, i actually enjoyed
Maybe more scenes like this instead of the ridiculous MOT nonsense. If Carl is not actually testing the cars why is Fiona sending them to Webster's Autos? She could send the car's details to him and he could just print out the certificates. How does Carl explain why the cars are in the garage and why he does not get paid for working on them?
Funny that Becky's name should quite randomly come up tonight…..
i didn't realise eileen owned her house, steve will miss her, his best relationship
Just wondering which reputable lab is going to carry out a DNA test on a few hairs found inside a cap that could have been contaminated by the mother of the person who they are hoping to find a relationship to.....
i think carla eating with roy, was happiness, most content, she has been in a long time, lisa and betsy are miserable so making her miserable
Betsy put on a really babyish voice when speaking to Carla.
Apologies to all those who think Theo is a great character, but I find him boring, and would be happy to see him disappear up his scaffold and never come down again.
I am as confused as Betsy is.
Why is it that everyone who is arrested in Corrie - and there are a lot of them - is arrested in the Rovers' in full view of everyone?
did the platt house garden get bigger and you would think todd, roy and nina would be invited but david worried kit was missing
Why is Lou never with her daughters? Surely she would have taken them to the BBQ???
