How long has Craig been a police officer, he is acting as if this is his first week. He was in CID before so surely he should know all the stuff in the folder? His turn to take the stupid pill.
They have made Craig look more stupid in this episode.
The whole episode made absolutely no sense to me. If Craig had been seconded to C.I.D., presumably this was a decision taken higher up than DS Swain, so how was it possible that she could send him back to being a P.C. just like that? Even if she could, Craig would not have been rostered on as a P.C. that day as he wouldn't have been expected to be on duty, so how come he was out in the patrol car?
Anyway, my main take away from tonight's episode was to discover that I have the same birthday as Kit!
Happy birthday
I have the same birthday as Shakespeare, Charlie Rowe, John Oliver, Shirley Temple, & many more!
Has anyone noticed the same colour decor/paint everywhere, from Sarah's flat to outside painted wood and worst of all, (think it's Teal or KIngfisher Blue) and they all wear clothes to match. Now you are aware of this, it will distract from naff acting like Gemini's!!
It was the back of Weatherfield Precinct (audio description). My first thought when I saw Maria there. My answer, was that they could not afford an extra to play a random passer-by to find Craig, as surely would have happened in real life. But that would have denied us Maria's scenes of distress. Incidentally I found Gary's sympathy and suppor less than convincing.
at least we finally saw lou's girls
If PC Tinker had have been taken to Hotten General he would have been back on the beat by the weekend.
Asha is a student paramedic, yet she seems to be taking the lead and making all the decisions
A police officer is killed on duty, and a Detective Sergeant is in charge of the investigation. Surely
It would be a Chief Superintendent ?
That was a terrible fight scene. Why would Kit go to Mick alone, where were the armed police officers. Mick did not have a gun, so why did Kit not take an extendable baton, a pepper spray or a tazer, or preferably all three.
A nod to the classic, "The Blue Lamp".
Who died?
They killed Craig? Dang, that's brutal. Did the actor want to leave?
you would think someone would have cleaned the blood from lou
did Tim say lou got stitches
I realise that the family's wishes must be taken into account, but surely a police officer murdered on duty would mean an official ceremonial police burial organised by the local police force and the Police Federation with police officers lining the route and a guard of honour etc. etc. He wouldn't just be be carted off to Norfolk for a family only burial?
I believe that although the police would offer an official ceremonial funeral, it is up to the family whether or not they wish to accept the offer. If the family only want a quiet family funeral, their wish would be respected.
In this case, it being a soap, it saves the expense of bringing back Beth and hiring lots of extras as police officers.
That is correct. At the very least the "family" would have had a visit from a very senior officer (not a D/S) and also assistance from their local Welfare Officer. The decision as to whether it is an Official Police Funeral is made by the family. They can even request that officers attending do not do so in uniform.
That said Weatherfield Constabulary seem to operate in a parallel universe with D/C Kit the Twit being lead investigator in all major crimes in the area. He is able to arrest people in the street and march them off to Waetherfield Nick. Presumably he takes the Tram as he never calls for backup or a paddy wagon to lift the arrestees.
Best part of the episode watching Todd and George eating their ham barmes with piccalilli. I did smile at Lou when referring to David when she said "And don't even get me started on you." :D
sarah really dont care what kit does
