Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek has confirmed his split from actress Heather McComb.
Van Der Beek, 32, married McComb in July 2003 in Malibu, shortly after he finished shooting the US teen show.
According to Us magazine, the couple ended their relationship "two months ago".
"They remain good friends," said the actor's representative.
Van Der Beek recently finished shooting thriller Stolen Lives and sci-fi drama Megastorm. McComb, who has appeared in Party Of Five and Prison Break, recently starred in romantic drama Chasing The Green.

Rachel Stevens is said to be "shaken" after being robbed of jewellery by three muggers who followed her home.
The three men ambushed the former S Club 7 singer as she entered her flat in north London, making her hand over several items.
The haul reportedly included an engagement ring, a necklace and a Rolex watch.
A brief statement issued on behalf of singer said: "Rachel did experience an intrusion and is shaken, but otherwise OK."
The statement did not go into any detail about what had happened.
A spokesman for Rachel, 31, who came second in last year's Strictly Come Dancing show, described the experience as "distressing".
She is engaged to actor Alex Bourne, with their wedding planned for this summer.
According to The Sun, police are investigating whether the gang had been following Stevens' movements during a shopping trip. She was attacked at about 4pm.
Scotland Yard said: "It's believed the woman returned to her flat and was followed in to the premises by three males. The suspects are understood to have threatened her before making off with a quantity of jewellery."
S Club 7 racked up 11 Top 40 hits, including charttoppers Reach and Don't Stop Movin'. They called it a day in 2002 and Stevens became a solo singer.
Hank Azaria is celebrating after becoming a father for the first time.
The funnyman's girlfriend, Katie Wright, gave birth to the couple's son Hal on Saturday.
The tot was premature but "healthy and strong", according to Azaria's spokesman Stan Rosenfeld.
Azaria, who stars in new movie Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, announced the pregnancy in February.
He revealed he had been speaking to his unborn son, using the vocal skills he honed as a voiceover actor on The Simpsons: "We pump a lot of Beatles music into the womb. I get inspired to talk to him like John Lennon occasionally. He seems to like it, he gets very kicky when I talk this way."
Paris Hilton is a single woman again after splitting with her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt.
The heiress has been dating The Hills star since Christmas and has publicly declared her love for him several times, calling him her "best friend" and "future husband".
But the romance is over and the couple has called off its relationship.
A spokesperson for Hilton tells People.com, "In response to the enquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true they are no longer together. They remain friends and ask that you please respect their privacy."
The announcement comes a day after Hilton insisted her boyfriend was "hotter" than Brad Pitt during an appearance on U.S. late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!
In recent years, the fussy socialite has dated rocker Benji Madden, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, pop star Nick Carter and Pamela Anderson's ex-husband Rick Solomon, who famously appeared alongside the party queen in her infamous sex tape footage.
The daughter of Cher and Sonny Bono has confirmed that he is in the early stages of a sex change.
Chastity Bono is thought to have begun the process of changing his gender from female to male shortly after his 40th birthday earlier this year.
Speaking to TMZ, his publicist announced that "after many years of consideration", the writer and activist had "made the courageous decision to honour his true identity".
"He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones.
"It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his 'coming out' did nearly 20 years ago."
Bono previously discussed his parents' reaction to his sexuality in the book Family Outing, admitting that while Sonny was fine about his decision, Cher took the news badly and banished him from her New York home, although the pair later reconciled.
Madonna has won her battle to adopt Malawian toddler Mercy James - after the African country's high court praised her efforts to improve life for local children.
The Material Girl launched a legal battle to adopt Mercy in April but her bid was rejected on the grounds that prospective parents have to be resident in the country for 18 to 24 months prior to an adoption.
But the star was given the green light by judges on Friday to legally adopt the four year old after the rejection was overturned.
Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo told the court the star's commitment to the children of Malawi should be recognised after announcing his decision.
Madonna adopted Malawian-born David Banda in 2006, amid criticisms she side-stepped the country's adoption laws. The star also has two biological children - Lourdes, 12, and Rocco, eight.
Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend Doug Reinhardt has finally acknowledged he's been dumped - two days after the socialite announced their split to the press.
The hotel heiress confirmed rumours her six-month romance with baseball player Reinhardt was over on Tuesday by issuing a statement via her publicist.
The news appeared to come as a surprise to The Hills star Reinhardt - when quizzed about the break-up shortly after Hilton's public confirmation, he told E! News, "No, that's not true. Everything is Ok between us."
He is now coming to terms with the failed romance - but insists he will not be taking swipes at Hilton in the press because he wants no part of the "media circus" their split has become, reports TMZ.com.
A statement released by his representative on Thursday night reads, "Doug refuses to take part in this ridiculous media circus. He wishes Paris and all of her future boyfriends the best of luck."
Meanwhile, Hilton already appears to have moved on from the relationship - she was spotted getting close to soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo at a Hollywood club on Wednesday night.
Perhaps it makes it easier for the really wealthy people, sticking with other wealthy ones to avoid gold diggers.
Madonna has admitted that she is "ecstatic" after a Malawian court approved her appeal to adopt a second child from the African country.
The artist's petition to adopt four-year-old Mercy James was originally rejected when the court claimed that she did not meet the residency requirements.
Yesterday however, the singer won the appeal of the original decision due to her "commitment to helping disadvantaged children", BBC News reports.
The court added that James would be "better taken care of by foreign parents who will give her love and affection".
Madonna has revealed that she is "extremely grateful" to the tribunal for its ruling.
"My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her," she said.
James's uncle has said that the child "will be joining Madonna soon".
Wonder how many dollars that cost her
"Commitment to helping disadvantaged children?"
As in adopting a child three years ago and applying to adopt one now? I can't think of anything else she's done :searchme:
Am I alone in thinking somebody has taken a backhander? First she gets refused on residency issues then they give her the green light, even though the law is clear on adoptive parents from abroad.
I think Money talked in this situation!

Peter Andre has opened up over his split from Katie Price in a new song, a report claims.
The Aussie popstar performed the track in public for the first time during a comeback gig at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Macau, China yesterday.
According to The Mirror, the up-tempo number, named 'Outta Control', blames Price's partying and flirting for the breakdown of their high-profile marriage.
The lyrics reportedly include: "She said she was out with her friends/I saw her talking and holding his hand/I guess it's like a kick to the face/What did I ever do for you to treat me this way?"
Price confirmed that she had been dumped by Andre after nearly four years of marriage last month.
The model later denied rumours that the split was caused by her social life, commenting: "I hardly ever go out and over the five years of our relationship I have probably been out 20 times - which is unusual for a woman of 30."
remind of how old you are again pete
Pete was working on this album - and the songs well before he and Kate spilt up! I think the press are just blowing it all out of proportion, i think they should just leave the two of them alone!
Yeah, totally. She probably got different judges who thought differently. Sure she's poured money into orphanages or whatever but would she have really done it unless she wanted that kid? Both of the kids still had family, not exactly all alone in the world. Even if they are poor. Money doesn't exactly buy happiness, and I wonder who will be looking after the child, Madonna or the nannies?
Lets guess...........The nannies
I agree Kasple. If Madonna really wants to help disadvantaged children she's better off putting her millions towards building schools and supporting the local community instead of taking young children away from their family and giving them everything they ask for.
I know that there are many kids that are either living in poverty or are orphans but I feel very cynical to what has been happening here. As I feel that Madonna could use some of her wealth to help more kids around the world if that is the route she wanted to follow. When she was refused the right to adopt and she brought out the digitally enhanced pictures to make it appear that was she was a lot softer and motherly. I thought to myself why do this- why try to create an image of yourself of something your not? Especially when you may not be home to even raise your own children?
I don't know about the adoption process as how could you take a child away from a family that they already have? Is the family going to benefit financially from this?
Sexy Megan Fox has confirmed she and boyfriend Brian Austin Green are reassessing their romance - because she's not ready to become his wife.
After breaking off their engagement earlier this year, gossips felt sure Fox was single and started to speculate about the relationship between her and Transformers co-star Shia Labeouf.
But she insists she's still with actor Green - she just has no plans to marry him.
Fox tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "Brian and I are not engaged, because when you're engaged, your goal is marriage. I don't think that's a realistic goal for me right now.
"I know I'm not capable, at this point, of being a good partner or a good wife. That's, like, a joke. We're sort of trying to figure out what our relationship is."
In this country, paying for a child is illegal, whether it's through surrogacy (can only pay expenses) or adoption. The law in Africa and America is different.
It could be seen that Madonna can give the child a better life and future in a developed country with all the money she has. But she still has surviving family. Family that can't afford to hire a lawyer and fight the adoption.
The way I see it is, how can Madonna provide a stable home when she has no husband and is flying all over the world with work? The children are just going to be palmed off on nannies or sent to boarding school.
Madonna would do better sponsoring children and helping their communities build better lives rather than taking one child thousands of miles away from her family.
I doubt Crowe and Baldwin will be too happy they were called fat :lol:Quote:
Actress Nia Vardalos has fired off at Hollywood executives who greenlight film romances featuring "fat" Russell Crowe and Seth Rogen and then poke fun at her for finding love with hunks on the big screen.
The My Big Fat Greek Wedding star is tired of Tinseltown's double standards when it comes to pairing up stars for movie love stories - because older women can't get away with dating hunks, while ageing actors regularly romance hotties.
And she's had enough of the questions about her own onscreen match-ups with the likes of John Corbett and My Life In Ruins co-star Alexis Georgoulis.
She tells CNN, "On the publicity tour of My Big Fat Greek Wedding I was asked over and over again, if, as the writer, I felt it was a fair depiction of real life to have someone of my below average looks, hook up with hottie John Corbett.
"I thought I was attractive when I shot My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Studio executives and movie reviewers let me know I had a confidence in my looks that was not shared by them. In other words, they labelled me with words like, overweight, unattractive, unappealing. Hey, just say fat. I love the word fat. I used it in the title. It’s actually not a naughty word.
"I have sat through many a movie like Sideways, where nobody blinks an eye when Paul Giamatti gets together with gorgeous Virginia Madsen, and Knocked Up. I mean the visual of Seth Rogen on top of Katherine Heigl made me put the popcorn down and reach for my purse... because I knew the film was about to stop and Ashton Kutcher would now jump out and go, 'Aha, you’ve been punked.' I waited, but no Ashton.
"Socially, the issue of men’s weight is simply not a big deal. Let’s face it, Russell Crowe is fat and no one ever talks about it. Alec Baldwin just orders his suits a size bigger and we continue to swoon.
"Meanwhile, I get hit with this awkward question about my weightloss daily and I have answered it in press interviews, at the grocery store, at the newspaper stand. Why? Because I see their (people) anxious, open faces needing the secret, the new pill, the cure, anything: 'Just please share the secret'. So I hesitantly answer and I am always met with the same response: the glaze-eye, slack-jawed face.
"They don’t want to hear the truth - I had a blood sugar problem, so my doctor ordered me to lose weight. It was really hard but I did it through diet and exercise, and it took a year."
Madonna has reportedly flown a nurse and nanny out to Malawi to care for her newly-adopted four-year-old daughter Mercy James.
The singer's aides will care for the child in her luxury apartment in the African country's capital Lilongwe while adoption papers and a visa are finalised, reports say.
Mercy James will then be flown by private jet to the US, where Madonna will introduce her to her new siblings Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight, and David Banda, three.
According to The Sun, Mercy's biological father James Kambewa, 24, has vowed to seek visitation rights to his daughter.
"I will fight until my last drop of blood to have the right to my daughter," he is quoted as saying.
Madonna won a court appeal last week to adopt the Malawian after the application was originally rejected in April.
Figures.
Why doesn't she adopt actual orphans instead of taking them away from their family, no matter how poor they are...at least they would be able to visit her in the orphanage, but how will they afford to visit overseas?
Paris Hilton has dismissed reports she moved on from her recent break-up with Doug Reinhardt by romancing Portuguese soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo - insisting they are "just good friends".
The hotel heiress recently ended her six-month romance with baseball player Reinhardt, announcing the news on Tuesday through her publicist.
But just a day after the split, the hotel heiress was spotted getting close to Manchester United player Ronaldo in a Los Angeles nightclub - prompting rumours of a new relationship.
But Hilton insists she is not dating Ronaldo - and remains coy over whether romance will bloom in the future.
She says, "Cristiano and I are good friends. Very good friends. He's a nice guy - and an incredible athlete. We're getting to know each other and I have to leave it at that."
Actress Sienna Miller has opened up about her split from Brothers & Sisters star Balthazar Getty - insisting she should have been "more conscious" of her actions while she was romancing the married oil heir.
The British beauty found herself at the centre of a major scandal involving Getty after he reportedly cheated on his wife with her in 2008.
Miller faced a barrage of negative press about her romance with the actor, and the couple eventually split earlier this year.
And the Alfie star admits she ended the relationship after a long talk with one of her girlfriends forced her to come to her senses.
She tells Vogue magazine, "She took me to lunch - funnily enough to a restaurant called Balthazar, but she never commented on the irony of that. She said, 'You've been through hell and you need to talk about it with someone.'
"I got to the point where I was doing things that I didn't necessarily think I was capable of as a person. And I wanted to be conscious of my actions. I think I was really naive and trusting, and thinking that if you are true to yourself, that's enough, that's the best way to be.
"But actually, it's important to become more conscious."
Suzanne Shaw wed DJ lover Jason King in Christchurch at the weekend, say local reports.
According to the Bournemouth Echo, the pair tied the knot at the Captain's Club Hotel.
King, 33, and Shaw, 27, live together with Corey, her four-year-old son from her previous marriage to TV personality Darren Day.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2008, claiming that they "couldn't be happier" with each other.
Shaw's former Hear'Say bandmates Myleene Klass, Danny Foster and Noel Sullivan were rumoured to have been invited to the wedding. However, Klass is currently working on I'm A Celebrity... in the US, so it is known that she did not attend.
Kym Marsh, who was also in the original Hear'Say lineup, was left off the guestlist.
Victoria Beckham is facing reports she recently underwent a breast augmentation operation to decrease the size of her chest.
The singer-turned-fashion designer reportedly had her breasts enlarged in 1999, but British tabloid The Sun claims she underwent another operation two years later to further enhance her bust.
The paper now alleges the star underwent another operation last month to decrease the size of her bosom for a "more natural look."
Beckham, who lives in Los Angeles, is said to be recovering in France with her soccer star husband, David, and their three sons.
A source tells the newspaper, "Victoria has wanted her implants taken out for a while. She felt that was part of her old image - the big hair, big boobs, fake tan - and that she has moved on since those days.
“She had the op three weeks ago and is very pleased with the results. After the op she came to London for business then went to France to heal properly in private.”
Actress Mia Farrow's brother has been found dead in his Vermont art gallery.
The body of sculptor Patrick Farrow, 66, was discovered on Monday.
Police are investigating the matter, calling the death "suspicious".
Mia and her brother were two of seven siblings born to author John Farrow and actress Maureen O'Sullivan.
An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington, Vermont, is expected to take place on Wednesday.
The deceased ran the Farrow Gallery in Castleton with his wife Susan.
Chris Brown's lawyer has requested a delay in his upcoming assault case, reports Reuters.
The R&B star, 20, has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and making criminal threats in relation to an alleged altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna in the early hours of February 8.
His attorney Mark Geragos has asked the California Supreme Court to delay a scheduled hearing next week to allow more time for him to gain access to police files.
Geragos wants information about an investigation into how photographs appearing to show Rihanna looking bruised and bloodied following the alleged attack were leaked to the media.
It is the second time that such a request has been made. A previous attempt to delay proceedings was denied by the court last month on the grounds that it was too early in the case to deal with the leak issue.
The next hearing is set for Monday at the LA Superior Court. Rihanna has been subpoenaed to testify against her former boyfriend on June 22.
Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie are feeling generous this week (beg15Jun09) - the couple has made a $1 million (£666,667) donation to help refugees just days after contributing the same amount to a Missouri hospital.
The charitable stars have offered up the sum to the United Nations (Un) Refugee Agency to help displaced citizens in Pakistan.
Jolie, who is an ambassador for the agency, recently made a video to promote World Refugee Day, on 20 June.
And she is due to meet U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, in Washington D.C. on Thursday to discuss the global refugee crisis.
The Hollywood couple also donated $1 million (£666,667) to St. John's hospital in Pitt's native Springfield, Missouri to fund a new pediatric unit.
Patrick Farrow died of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, it has emerged.
The sculptor brother of actress Mia was found dead at his Vermont studio on Monday in circumstances the authorities described as "suspicious".
Police said that a medical examiner's finding of suicide matched evidence observed at the scene, the BBC reports.
Mia Farrow's manager said: "The family of Patrick Farrow is grieving the tragic loss of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who sadly chose to take his own life.
"They greatly appreciate the support of their friends during this difficult time."
The daughter of Billy Joel has said that she supports her father's decision to get a divorce.
Alexa Ray Joel told People that she suspected problems between her father and his wife, Katie Lee.
"I have a pretty good woman's intuition, so I could tell," she said. "I know my dad very well."
She explained: "He was the first person to talk to me. Of course, being who he is, you can't just trust everybody. I like knowing that my father can come to me."
Despite the couple's troubles, the 23-year-old said that it has not put her off getting married.
"I would love to get married," she revealed. "Having seen what I've seen, sure I have a different perspective on marriage, but I'm a true romantic, and I will be having a wedding at one point."
Discussing her father's future, Alexa Ray added: "He's a strong man. He'll get through this, and I'm going to help him."
Paris Hilton has fuelled rumours she is secretly dating soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo - by booking a trip to Europe to see the sportsman.
The hotel heiress ended her six-month romance with baseball player Doug Reinhardt earlier this month and shortly after news of the split broke, she was photographed getting close to Ronaldo in a Los Angeles nightclub.
Hilton subsequently denied rumours of a romance - insisting the pair is "just friends."
But Internet gossips are once again speculating about the nature of the pair's relationship after Hilton announced she has booked a holiday to Spain to see the Portuguese star when he starts his tenure with soccer club Real Madrid later this year.
She says, "I am totally going to Madrid to see him. I love spending time in Europe. They get me there."
Beyonce has been threatened with a £666,600 lawsuit after pulling out of a New York nightclub show.
But the pop princess suddenly axed the appearance on Wednesday, with her representatives claiming she was too busy preparing for her North American tour.
Beyonce's reps instead offered an hour-long personal appearance from the star at the club - but Morrissey claims he has already spent £66,667 preparing for the singer's show.
He tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, “They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they wouldn’t have time to do the kickoff party.
"We sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations. What good does her showing up for an hour do me? They’ve been totally unwilling to agree to another show.”
Morrissey is now threatening to file suit against Beyonce over the cancellation, claiming the club has suffered a “loss of reputation” in addition to his lost cash.
He adds, “We had an overwhelming response from our clubgoers, who were lining up to buy tickets and tables. This will come as a great disappointment to all of them. If Beyonce cancels and doesn’t give us a new date, this hurts our credibility in nightlife.”
