I think Cassie would almost certainly have become addicted again, one hit is usually all it takes to go down that path again, likewise one drink with alcoholics. Many addicts have fatal overdoses when they return to taking drugs again after a period of being clean, because the level of tolerance in their body has changed. So it is quite possible that Cassie could have overdosed, but Tracey did not consider this, or care. I think Tracey has always seen herself as a victim, and she excuses her bad behavior because she thinks other people treat her badly. It is admirable that you can sympathise with Tracey, but I have little sympathy with her.Quote:
