I really hate that we have to live through this story. I really love the Debbie character.

gail is very happy not not worried about david
I thought that she knew that she saw Tracey but just did not want to admit seeing her because she did want to be involved in Tracey's going ons. I do not think it was made very clear there was something wrong with her memory. She seemed pretty compos mentis to me.

A Coronation Street story, which has been branded by fans as going "too far" has officially begun.
Last year it was reported that fan-favourite Debbie Webster will be diagnosed with dementia in a long-running plot that will end in Debbie's exit from the soap.
Devastated fans petitioned the soap to reconsider the storyline, arguing that it tipped the scales "too far towards darkness".
Tonight the soap officially set the big exit storyline in motion as fans watched Debbie forget something significant for the first time.
Having broken up with Tommy and feeling fed up that her dad Ken had gone to The Lakes because he missed Cassie, Tracy was filled with rage.
After telling Craig off for failing to arrest Cassie, Tracy decided to take matters into her own hands and Debbie witnessed Tracy doing a dodgy deal with a man in the ginnel.
Somehow I seemed to have missed knowing about this story, probably because I avoid spoilers.
Not sure about it being "too far towards darkness", I think it is just the inevitable result of climbing the ladder of making stories more and more dramatic. Unless a decision is taken to climb back down again to Minnie Calwell's Bobbie it was always going to get here.
cassie not only drugged ken she was robbing off him too
Sadly, I missed tonight's episode, but I have just caught up on Facebook. I understand it was full of fun and laughter tonight and everyone was really pleased that Corrie was back to its old self with great new characters and plenty of lighthearted banter.
i hope rob survives and escapes to his field
betsy, lisa, james, kit, and mucklou could all go
Every so often, Corra gets totally stupid, the number of times they revisit a past relationship, I've lost count of who has went out with who, again, it just does not happen in real life, so Tracy stop believing Rob is totally in love with you!!
She only did that to discredit Cassie, not get her killed, maybe addicted again, ok but I am sure she would not go on killing spree, she killed but there was domestic abuse involved but other than a sharp tongue Tracy has never really been violent after Charlie.. not that I can remember, happy to be reminded of other incidents
My post was mean to be tongue in cheek about the killing spree, but she is evil. Wnen she killed Charlie, she lied about the abuse, he was unfaithful but he did not physically abuse her. She planned the murder, it was not done in a moment anger. In fact if I remember correctly she took pleasure in it, I seem to member Charlie on the floor in front of her while she made a little speech and hit over the head with heavy object. She drugged Roy to win a 1p bet, saying she was pregnant, causing Haley to leave him, and Roy to contemplate suicide. She lied about Becky causing her to have a miscarriage. When she gave Cassie the drugs, she did so with a blatant disregard for her safety and well being. I think Cassie would almost certainly have become addicted again, one hit is usually all it takes to go down that path again, likewise one drink with alcoholics. Many addicts have fatal overdoses when they return to taking drugs again after a period of being clean, because the level of tolerance in their body has changed. So it is quite possible that Cassie could have overdosed, but Tracey did not consider this, or care. I think Tracey has always seen herself as a victim, and she excuses her bad behavior because she thinks other people treat her badly. It is admirable that you can sympathise with Tracey, but I have little sympathy with her.
yes tracey is a murderer but id take her over other countless useless wooden characters, she brings some humour in her blanche like insults
Can now add the Rob Donovan hostage storyline to it... :wall:
How was Betsy allowed through the police cordon or weren't the police aware there was a back to the house?
