Dot also tried phoning him, before trying Yvonne.
Don't think they did. He was around after jack and left before jack came back.
this bully chap keegan will likely cause bus crash
I thought that was going to happen too.
I've been on several buses that went the wrong way. Luckily they didn't drive into any low bridges (although I've heard of that happening).
I wish I hadn't been forewarned that a bus was going to crash in the square this week. At least there are no spoilers for the aftermath. I'm intrigued as to how Billy/Jay and Tina/Shirley/Sylvie will be involved. Is anyone going to die? I wouldn't mind if Shakil was fatally wounded (and definitely hope his unpleasant friend Keegan is a goner!).
there has to be some fatalities
The stunt was okay for EastEnders as they are not known for the quality of their stunts (fairground disaster) I am just not a fan of stunts in general, leave them to Hollyoaks and Emmerdale who are the masters of these.
I enjoyed the scenes with Billy and Jay and loved the scenes on the tube with Shirl, Tina and Sylvie. Whitney is really getting on my wick.
Is anyone going to snuff it, lets hope its Shaki and a few of the grange hill mob. I wonder if Dave will kark it?
The speed the bus was going, I doubt it would have kept going the way it did in reality but I agree, for EastEnders it was ok crash.
I wonder if Mick is going to stay in the show long term? and whether Danny Dyer will stay the course? He is no longer the number 1 **** is he? Also The Carters are not SOC's pet project unlike his predecessor.
Would not be surprised to see him take an extended break, if so, that pretty well closes down the Carter clan.
On a similar vein EE has put out what they refer to as a clue to the post accident aftermath. A 10 second clip , it shows the Queen Victoria bust on the Vic bar disintegrating. The main clue being in the title " Teaser" . Having said that we've been down this EE road before with false trails etc .eg. the so called short list of suspects for Lucy Beale's murder.
Mick gave Max a free orange juice last night but still no apology for thinking he was murderer
Pretty good episode tonight I thought.
max the hero
lee or whitney dead?
Or is it going to be a twist, that its just her phone under the bus.
Talking of phones, hope someone shoves Keegan's down his throat a.s.a.p.
I loved the scenes on the tube with Shirl, Sylvie and Tina, it broke the tension nicely from the square. I am glad we didn't have the train coming off the tracks on the bridge. Not a fan of stunts, but the episode was well directed. I thought the beginning was very cinematic and cleverly done, something Hollyoaks do also with their stunts.
That Keegan is vile and a right chump. I think out of everybody, I was more upset at seeing Donna hurt and she was okay.
It makes me smile, apparently all the twitter brigade who were wanting to chop SOC head off are now saying EastEnders is the best thing since sliced bread. two faced or what!!!! All in all a very good effort, a shame the ratings will be dented because of the clash.
So what's the plot purpose of the bus crash?
To sort Denise's sister out with her 'you're dead to me attitude'?
To make Denise think of what she's given up?
To give the council a reason for moving the market?
It's an expensive bit of filming unless it pushes storylines forward.
The lad with the phone needs sorting out though.
At least Winston was ok!
I've just been back to have another look and I still can't understand the sequence of events here. Billy and Jay were stuck in a traffic jam which seemed to clear and they started moving. Jay suddenly arrives back in Albert Square on his own - no Billy. It was then said that the emergency services were held up getting to the scene because of the traffic hold up.
I am very puzzled....
I had the feeling while watching last night that Kush might die.
As you say in your post, there are many smaller storylines that will possibly start or be changed by the crash. If there's no big character death, I'd say the major fallout will be be Martin's injuries. I've got a feeling he's very seriously injured and that this is one of the reasons SOC decided to bring Michelle back now to help him (and his family) through it.
Jay's sudden appearance in the square wasn't explained that I can recall but him running back is what made sense to me at the time. He and Billy were stopped right by the Olympic Stadium at one point but they'd moved on so ended up closer than that. They might have only been a five minute run away for someone young and fit.
I think Jay and Billy were fighting as Billy texted a girl on behalf of Jay, I remember Billy's line of her being older :p so maybe Jay got out and walked back angry
While I did enjoy last night's episode, the phone recording made the tension more real I felt with the terror bus attacks, It felt too soon for a storyline like this, I know it wasn't terror related as I believe the bus driver had a heart attack but I think it was perhaps in bad taste
I did get a bit teary eyed at Martin and Stacey because I really like them together and hope Martin will be ok
It was good to see both Max and Jay who were ostracised now as heroes
Why did Stephen not want to help Martin, if he sees Ian as his father they are related
I think the lady who was frantic looking for her child with Honey, that her child is with Whitney who dropped the phone to save the child, I don't think Whitney or Lee is under the bus
