Sorry to hear about your grandad Emma-Lou.
Week was pretty boring really. Had 2 tests in Psychology, 1 of which we didn't have any warning for. Wasn't particularly pleased with my score (28/36) but I somehow managed to get higher than my friend who was warned about it. Second was on a booklet, the contents of which has nothing to do with the unit we're taking in January which was quite annoying.
I had 3 frees on Thursday as I have the same teacher on that day for Applied Business and Economics but she wasn't in. I saw her on Friday and she said she nearly didn't go in then either; that would have meant the same again if she didn't lol!
Have a project to do and some other homework but I'm so tired, I can't wait until half term now!
Sorry to hear about your Grandad Emma, it takes a while to sink in. When I was told my Gran had died I was just like "right" as it had been expected and she'd almost gone two weeks before that. It's a bit harder to believe that she's never coming back now than it was then.
Thanksfor your comments all :).And yeah Perdita i think you are right as we won alot of the races and prizes that night we seemed to be really lucky pur family kept telling us to stop winning everything.Yeh Kim when my mum told me i was just like oh as he hasn't been the same for about a year now.Its only when i think about what he was like with me when i was younger i get a bit upset.
This week has been fabby. Don't normally say that but yeah had a fab week, currently on work experience at my old primary school and it's a blast, Lorraine and Angie just make me giggle so much it's unbelivable. (The office staff, that's where i am in the office:P). All the teachers now recognise me and it's great to see them all again several have been married and i've found out my old P7 teacher is married and has a baby boy.
Friday night i went out for my mate's 18th, actually didn't drink alot cause i didn't want to head back to my gran's drunk, but it was a great evening intill i had to walk home from tesco on my own at like 10.20 cause kerry wanted to stay with Grant, Jonny and Martin  . But i phones steff and we had a great chat.
Yesterday i didn't do much, met up with friends at night and went to Dalgety Bay sports centre which was a laugh. But also found out one of my best friends likes the same boy as me and she doesn't really know him properly and i don't know what to do.
Today i've just been lazing about really.
Off down to London on thursday night with My best mate, Her dad lives down there and that'll be a laugh. Might be meeting up with steff to but i'm not to sure about that. All chuffed through.
didnt actually do any work yesterday lol! today i did quite a lot though which surprised me! though i didnt do as much as id have liked to have done, but i did all of the stuff that i needed to do for tomorrow. i had to go shopping this morning as i had no food and it was pouring down so i got soaked, i wasnt pleased! :(
Thats good news about your friend Perdita! Sorry to hear about your Grandad Emma-Lou :(
Hmm, quite a boring weekend
Yesterday I jsut went to my Mums and we watche telly together which was actually quite nice :)
Today went to town with my friend and got home and just cleaned upstairs and dossed about really :)
So it's not been eventful, but has been quite nice :)
today i got up at half 6 so that i could wash and straighten my hair (which takes ages) and print off all these forms and then get up to uni by half 9 to meet the person i was doing my presentation with to sort it out. she texts me just as i was about to leave saying we are going to meet at half 11 now instead! so i got up early for no reason! then i had my lecture which was ok. then i went to netball which was ok but there were way too many freshers there lol! i came home and need to do my work for tomorrow and i find out that everyone else is going out cos cheerleading have the top floor of the club along with some of the other sports clubs and theres gonna be games and stuff, and i cant go cos ive gotta do all this work for tomorrow! :( im so annoyed!
Grr I hate school!
Apparently our Sixth Form Block was a "disgusting" mess.. so much so that the cleaner wouldn't clean it up, and she's pregnant... which is fair enough. But now they've closed the Block until Thursday which is soo stupid!!!I put my rubbish straight in the bin.. so it's just unfair that everyone has to suffer because of the stupid people who are too lazy to put rubbihs in the bin but instead think they;'re funny to throw it about! It's horrible.. we have to sit in the freezing cold canteen now with the smelly little chavs running about during lesson time and I just cannot concentrate! :(
Dancing was good again :) It's slowly getting better. It'll get all stressful again soon but for now it's stable.. it's the calm before the storm lol.
My house is all weird tongiht :( My Garnch is working away for the week so it's just me and my Nan.. it's odd without him. My Dad and Uncle are working away with him too so it's jsut me Mum Nan and my Aunty... and the kids! I don't like it :(
I've had an awful day... english teacher keeps approaching me asking me if i've done his work yet and I said I'm doing it tonight and he didnt look pleased but the deadline isn't until Thursday! As long as I get it done by the deadline, I don't see his problem!
From then on my day got worse. I was the last person to arrive to my media lesson today so the teacher made me analyse a still image in front of the class and i just ended up saying stupid things and the whole class ended up laughing at me and the teacher said "everyone remind me not to pick this boy to answer a question again" :o I've never felt so embarrased in my life. I was going to walk out but I kept my cool, just thinking how dumb am I! .. but I have Media again tomorrow and I can't face going, even if that does sound a little ridiculous.
Not really been doing much
Friday had my sister and her 2 kids here for the day had my nephew for the night...
saturday my mum moved house so i was helping her for the day...
sunday just went down to my other sisters and played on her nintendo wil
Awh Kirsty, that sucks. I couldn't cope without the common room, I'm never out of it at break time! Ours is always a mess too. We've had so much of it that one of the Year 13's was so worried about us all being chucked out that she put a sign on the doors and all around the common room saying, "Keep this area tidy or we will be kicked out." It's some Year 12's causing all the problems, I think. It was all nice for the first few days and then got messy; guess the novelty wore off.
25/25 in other Psychology test :D Thought I'd messed it up.
We've done that too, there's a sign on the door as you go in saying "Please respect the block to avoid closure :)"
I guess they took no notice! Thing is, there's one specific group who leave a mess EVERYTIME! Their corner was an absolute state on Friday! and they ahve cups of tea and jsut leave it expecting us to wash up!
I suppose we should get off our high horses and jsut clean up if we want to stay in the black.. but I don't see why we should pick up after them.. they wouldn't treat their houses liek that! And we ahve washed their cups up before jsut to get it out of the way...but it's not appreciatedand they keep doing it!! I've got a good mind to see my Head of Year about it.. liek sort out some sort of rota that people check on it at the end of school or whatever, I jsut think its unfair being kicked out.. the librarys never open and it's way too difficult to concentrate in the canteen when there's little kids running about winding you up...We're trying to pass A Levels! It's not exactly easy at the best of times! Let alone being thrown out of our study area :(
finally finished all the work i needed to do for tomorrow, my brain officially hurts now though lol!
I know that feeling!
Thursday fish and chips Friday...italian. There were some Brazilian people over visiting...they are hilarious. Especially with a guitar.
I was working Saturday late, Sunday went to visit Hertfordshire uni (I would've popped in to say hi Abigail - I think this is the one your at? :p - but my mum would've been all - what the hell? Since she doesn't know about sb's.)
Went to homebase after college with mum to get insulation stuff for physics. I got insulation for pipes, a pipe, and it was buy one get one free on loft insulation. Now I have two big bales. Hope the college wants the rest I don't use. Annoying this was, although they were buy one get one free they had a sign above it saying £4.99, so we assumed it would be £4.99. But it was £9.98 per roll. That's just blatant customer misleading!
Also I hate people who overtake (and overtake aggressively) when I am going the speed limit. Although the camera probably flashed him because he was going at least 50mph past a 40mph camera. :p
They have a swimming pool?  I didn't see the sports centre lol. Maybe its on the other side. I saw the library and the science bit.
Today was my last day on work experience and i miss it already. The laugh's we had in the office were so funny. The teacher's were ace to. I want to go baccck! :crying: . As a going away present they gave me a video from 2003 when we done Joseph and the technicoloured dream coat as a play but we don't have a video player at home :crying: .
Back to school tomorrow and then London on thuesday night how am i going to cope at school, Not going to be able to concentrate at all going to be far to excited!
Got an appointment with my psychologist on Thursday to going to be talking a load of crap haha hope she doens't mind. I do have an excuse lol!
There are place that transfers video's to dvds. I'm not sure how much it costs though.
Do you know anyone with a vcr and dvd player that they've got connected up to copy it? Or someone with a combi; I've got one that does VCR to DVD, backwards and to HDD and all the rest of it.
I actually don't but i think my mum's going to try get one, if not i'll try get it put on to dvd somehow. But i think it will be so funny to watch.
Edit: I am oh so glad i don't have a debit card or there would be nothing left on it. Kind of addicted to online shopping but without the money:p:lol:
Gahhh, i'm being bombarded with college application forms and prospectuses!
Thing is, I really don't know what I want to do when I leave college. I wanted to be a midwife since I was like 8, but then i've been thinking recently that it's not a very family-friendly job. Well for me I mean, like I really want to have kids and a family but have been told by people that this isn't the best job if you do :S then i was thinking maybe social care but don't wanna do that now. Then these last couple of months I was thinking about doing either zoology or being a vet, but I can't do the vet thing because i've been moved down in Maths, which I'm not bothered about, but I am bothered about the fact that I can't get above a C in my GCSEs because it's a foundation paper! Meaning that I can't go for Chemistry in college because you need a B or above   and you need Chemistry to get into Vet School. So now i'm reconsidering midwifery but I don't knowwww. Anyone got any ideas?
And i'm not happy now because at dancing we were doing jumps into the splits and i now have 2 beasty bruises on my knees. ):
Sorry, rant over!
That's so unfair! In my school because there's no intermediate any more the top two sets do higher and my friend ended up doing higher even though she was originally in Set 3.
There are places with lower entry requirements. My friend from another school did triple science at GCSE and came out with BCD. She's now doing Biology and Chemistry at 6th form. She only needed a C in Maths for that.
My friend applied to a college at as a back up that would allow her to study A Level Maths with a C at GCSE. If there's anywhere near you that does that they should allow Chemistry with a C, since it's got to be easier mathematically than doing Maths.
my day was ok. had a lecture at 9am which was a bit pointless as it was all about how to use the internet and the library to find out information! that finished at 10am then i had to hang around til 11am to meet up with my group to talk about our comedy research for our seminar, we were only there for 10mins so that was sort of a waste of time! then had cheerleading this evening which was ok but im getting bored cos we are doing such basic stuff to teach the freshers and i just wanna get on with doing all the harder stuff
Grrrr, school is so annoying!
In assembly this morning our head of year babbled loads of rubbish about the rubbish in the Sixth Form Block that it's closed until Thursday end of.
THEN! He turned aroud and said "I've had complaints off the canteen staff too that you Sixth Form have left all the mess in there too, and if I get one more complaint off them we'll throw you out of the canteen aswell".
NOT BEING FUNNY! The WHOLE of the school is in that one tiny canteen... you should see the mess they ahve to clean up when we're not even in there! Yet they don't have a choice but to clean that up! Anyways! After break today all the tabl;es Sixth Form (or at least Year 13) was sat at... was absolutely spotless! They can't blame jsut Sixth Form for the mess in the canteen when there's kids throwing food at each other! Then you walk down the hallways and there's pasta all up the wall and sandwichs smushed into the floor! Hellooooo?! I think our school needs to sort out their priorities! Grrr
End of rant..sorry.
Anyways, my days been ok apart form that :) Went out for a drive tonight with some friends and did some english work which is good :)
Still have access to the Sixth Form block luckily; if some friends of friends don't grow up I can imagine us being thrown out of there soon though. One of them is doing English and Maths retakes plus a BTEC in Business because she got a B in Art and the rest E's at GCSE. She and this other girl doing a couple of A Levels and a Maths retake keep having childish fights, pushing each other's chairs across the common room and throwing food at each other. One's decided as they have to do a presentation in her Media A Level class that she wants to drop it; it's not like she's being assessed on it even if she doesn't want to do it. I don't like them but I had one yesterday in Economics.. it was rubbish.. oh well.
At break time we got to the common room a bit late and ended up with the most dodgy table in there. My friend pulled out a chair and the whole table came down! She didn't realise the table was relying on the chair.
Assembly today, I wonder what other complaints we will get. Not done much work last night, I don't seem to do much at home at the moment. Better do some when I get to school before lessons.
I don't think you do for midwifery but when I was looking into being av et I would have. But talking to the midwives on SMS last night, I've decided that I am going to do it. The only reason really that I didn't want to was the whole family thing and also I really didn't want to do 3 years basic nursing and then go into midwifery, but quite a few of them on SMS reccommended the direct route. Which is all good (:
Are internet is playing up, it doesnt surprise me as everything else in the house is falling apart! Just trying to do some work, finally found some peace and quiet.
Another day of immaturity in the 6th form block. Friend of a friend went to the printer in the common room and got a stack of paper out of it. She wrote boo hiss boo and other random messages on the paper, one word to a sheet, and held them up for her friend. When she'd finished she turned them upside down and shoved them back in the printer! Now someone's going to print out their work and find random words on the back of it. It's very wasteful as well; school are clamping down on printing stuff we don't need and if we use up our printing allowance we have to pay to print more stuff.
havent really done much today, done some work, caught up on some tv and thats about it lol!
Songs I got off iTunes tonight won't go on my stupid phone  Wrong type somehow, I've got ones on there that I got off iTunes before.
Finished one of my pieces of Business coursework, we're starting another in lesson tomorrow. Earlier I came into my room and turned the light on and the bulb went. I don't remember when I last had one but Mum asked me what I was doing with the bulbs because I didn't have a new one long ago. Dad went into the bathroom and then the light went off in here. The bulb had only gone in the bathroom as well! When one goes off it makes every light on that floor go out.
Haha we were allowed back in the Block today.. apparently we caused "too much of a disturbance" in the canteen yesterday so they had no choice but to put us back in the block. Ah well.. at least we're back in there ahah! :D
I made cookies today with my brother because I'm such a nice sister lol, and we made one giant cookie.. it was well lush! Aswell as some little ones too :)
Then I just went over my Mums for the evening as I haven't spent much time there this week, played on the Wii for a bit and then sata round and talked for ages :) Good night it was. Apart from when I was walking up to theirs and there was a drunk man walking behind me and it was really dark.. that was scary!
Good day in general, although I'm considering dropping Lit.. I'm jsut not interested one bit and don't even understand it anyways! But I don't want to risk jsut 2 A Levels trying to get into Uni Think I need to see the Careers lady!
Same Kirsty. Wouldn't be so much of a problem for me as this is AS but then that might put me at a disadvantage when applying to uni as most people will have more than 3 full A Levels. I like it some lessons and not others.. I don't know. I'm answering loads of questions in other lessons and getting excellent and stuff written on my work but in English something always seems to be wrong with everything. Teachers from other subjects have asked what I got at GCSE then what I'm taking for the rest of my options and they just look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them. The blocks were so annoying, I could have done Lang with the rest of my subjects if I was Year 13.
It was soooo funny just before tutor. My friend and I got there early and there was a boy in there who isn't in our tutor group. The warning bell went so he opened the window and said, "The bell has gone, please go to your tutor," in a really funny voice. He said other stuff like, "Please remove the pink scarf, it is not school uniform;" "That ball is not suitable for outdoor use, please buy a rubber one; thankyou!" There were two girls standing by the window talking and they weren't looking so he opened the window and screamed out of it and they jumped out of their skins! Just as he was saying that my tutor walked in! He turned round and was like, "Hello Miss, just asserting my authority." He got out of there pretty quickly afterwards! It might have been a case of you had to be there but me and my friend were laughing our heads off. He said he'd be back to do it again tomorrow, I'm so going to tutor early again!
At lunch some of our year went out onto the balcony. People who go out there usually leave a chair stuck in the door because you can only open it from the inside otherwise. Someone moved the chair because it was getting a bit cold and the lot on the balcony ended up banging on the door trying to get someone to let them in. Everyone was screaming at everyone else not to let them in and we found it quite funny.
Kim could you not drop it and pick up another one? I did that as I chose english lit to do, but decided it wasnt for me so changed it to health and social care and its 10 times better, so myabe you could ask about doing that
There's nothing else in the blocks really. The only ones they'd actually let me into would be Maths with Mechanics (didn't fancy that with Stats, let alone Mechanics because it's Physics based,) Film (I didn't like the film we did in Media for GCSE,) Philosophy and Biology which I don't want to do and RE in which I only like the sound of one of the modules and I'm convinced my liking for it at GCSE was down to the teacher I had .. it's all on exam and all in the June as well which I don't like the sound of either. So I don't know.. we're meant to speak to our tutors if we have a problem but mine's the head of English  She teaches half of the lessons and I spoke to her on the first lesson and she said it was better to have the A in Lang at GCSE but I don't know; I found out I was 6 marks off of an A in Lit and I did run out of time in the exam but I still feel like I'm rubbish at it compared to my other subjects.
deffinetly try and talk to someone, as it is better to change things now (if you want to) rather than leave it much longer, do you not have a senior tutor you can talk to?
