Does anyone know what the film is supposed to cover? as i thought everything had been summed up in the last film?
just bring it back! :D
I would prefer another series then a film
i wouldnt cos i didnt watch the series although i enjoyed the film
The series is what got me into these characters and the mad antics they had to deal with in the dating world. the film was only a small insight into them all and not a very good insight
The characters had to change over the years from the series. They hardly changed that much, just a little bit from the series. I mean we had a landmark birthday for Sam, a pregnancy, a wedding and a marriage getting back together.
I cannot wait for the new film, I want to see who guest stars, because Jennifer Hudson was amazing in the last film, she was Carries agony aunt. Plus the whole flashback to the 80's, seems to be showing when they all first met.
When the series ended all those years ago I actually thought that would be it, if anything they should of done another series then a film as in the film the humour and the warmth of the characters were lost. In some scenes it felt a little flat. Jennifer Hudson was a nice introduction as she had the vibrancy that was needed.
Maybe this 2nd film could be that for the SATC franchise as I can't think where it could go from there, unless the writers of the shows decided to do some kind of spin off of one of the main characters.
Miley Cyrus will appear in the Sex And The City sequel, reports say.
Recent rumours claimed that Cyrus would be in the film, but her representative denied the speculation.
However, Gossip Cop reports that in the current script, Cyrus will appear in one scene with Kim Cattrall.
Cyrus, who will be seen wearing the same dress as Cattrall, does not currently have any lines.
The Hannah Montana star was initially unavailable for the film because of her touring schedule, but sources have now said that both sides are working to arrange the appearance.

Kristin Davis has revealed that she initially tried out for the part of Carrie Bradshaw on Sex And The City.
The 44-year-old, who played Charlotte York on the hit HBO series as well as in its two subsequent movie incarnations, said that creator Darren Star invited her to audition for the role of the sex columnist, The Age reports.
Davis met Star in 1995 when she played Brooke Armstrong on Melrose Place for one season, where he was executive producer. She said that the original role of Carrie - eventually portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker - was "very different" from the one viewers saw.
The actress explained: "Honestly, none of the four of us are so jaded that we take it for granted. It is amazing that we still get to work together. We are sitting around the same table and chairs as we were in 1997. It still feels right."
Davis recently admitted that she is excited about reprising Charlotte in the follow-up film.
Sex And The City 2 is due to open in cinemas on May 28, 2010.

Miley Cyrus reportedly filmed her cameo in the Sex And The City sequel on Friday.
The Hannah Montana star was confirmed to appear in the highly-anticipated movie in September after her participation was denied by her representative the previous month.
The 17-year-old was spotted filming her one-off scene with Kim Cattrall on Friday, Us Weekly reports.
During the shoot, Cyrus arrived at a movie premiere set and wore the same dress as the 53-year-old's Samantha Jones character. Cast members Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Chris Noth (Mr Big) and Mario Cantone (Anthony Marantino) were also featured in the scene, filmed at the famous Ziegfield Theatre in New York.
The scene is said to centre around Jones's on/off boyfriend Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis), who was seen on the set of the movie last Monday.
Project Runway star Tim Gunn was recently confirmed to appear in the follow up, while actress Penelope Cruz and singer Liza Minnelli are rumoured to make cameos.

An actor involved with the Sex And The City sequel has claimed that a gay marriage will take place in the follow-up.
Nicholas Rodriguez, who plays a character "crucial" to the wedding scene, told People that an extravagant ceremony will be held in Connecticut.
He said: "We shot for two weeks. It's a ginormous scene with a huge budget, and everybody is pretty much in it... all of the girls and their spouses, Willie [Garson] and Mario [Cantone], and another big surprise cameo, Liza Minnelli."
It has been rumoured that the roles of Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marentino, who shared a kiss in the first instalment, are to be featured in the storyline.
Minnelli reportedly received $75,000 (£47,000) for her cameo appearance in the scene, during which she sings Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)'.
Of the Cabaret star's performance, Rodriguez added: "After the shoot, she said, 'I would like to have everyone's attention', and they pulled out a stool for her at the piano and gave her a mic and she sang a favourite of her mother Judy Garland."
However, Garson refused to answer questions about the supposed plotline, saying: "We're filming. I can tell you that. I don't want to get sued."
Stylist Patricia Field recently revealed details about an '80s flashback sequence in the sequel, which opens in cinemas on May 28, 2010.

I would love to see Anthony married he makes me laugh so much!
Not to each other as Anthony doesn't see Stanford like that :(
Kristin Davis has revealed that she thinks the second Sex And The City film is "like condensed soup".
The 44-year-old actress, who plays Charlotte York-Goldenblatt in the films, said that the creators have crammed so many plots into the sequel that it now has a much more intense flavour.
Davis told MTV: "This one is not going to be that long. It's like condensed soup. It's different, and adventurous and rich, and there's music involved."
She continued: "We were shooting nights last week, and pretty much for the two weeks before that. All night. We were not doing a night exterior, but that's how many hours we needed to get certain things done."
She added: "When it comes out, you're going to know what I'm talking about. I can't tell you right now, except to say that they are huge scenes with like hundreds of people in them! And there were more costume changes in the first film than there are in the second one."

Sex And The City star John Corbett will rejoin the cast in the upcoming movie sequel, according to new reports.
The actor starred as love interest Aidan opposite Sarah Jessica Parker in the hit TV show, and previously admitted that he would "relish" the chance to appear in a film instalment, following last year's big screen debut outing.
Speculation that he had signed up for Sex And the City 2 was triggered earlier this year when he was spotted in Morocco around the same time that the movie was being shot in the region.
Parker would not "confirm nor deny" whether Corbett would appear in the 2010 picture, but according to Gossip Cop the actor has a significant role in the new movie.
The website reports that he will have "an indiscretion" with Parker's character, according to a script they have obtained.

Sarah Jessica Parker has said that the upcoming Sex And The City sequel is a "romp" and a "caper".
The actress told BBC Newsbeat that she hopes people will be excited about the upcoming romantic comedy.
Parker said: "I hope it's worthwhile. It's been going beautifully and it's fun and exciting and very much an adventure.
"We've been shooting in Morocco for the past six weeks, we've just wrapped there. I still have some work to complete in New York but it's been great and it's really a romp, it's really a caper this movie. I'm looking forward to people seeing it."
She added: "[Director] Michael Patrick and I had a lot of conversations about whether to do a sequel. I think we just really want it to be good.
"We want it to be worth people leaving their homes for, we want to be worth the price of a ticket. That was the same goal for the first one and it kind of remains the same. I just want it to be good."

Does anyone else think its too soon for a sequel?
Way too soon I will always think they were better off writing another series then a film sequel
SEX And The City man-eater Kim Cattrall will bag a hunky new male model in the upcoming movie sequel.
The 53-year-old actress, who plays sexpot Samantha Jones, will cop off with Dolce & Gabbana hottie Noah Mills.
Off-screen, Kim is nothing like her feisty character, Noah revealed.
The hunk added: "She's really intelligent and there to work."
The film is due out in May.

Kim Cattrall has said that she finds the term "cougar" to be a negative one.
In an interview with Extra, the actress insisted that she "takes umbrage" to her Sex and the City character being labelled in such a way.
"I think that 'cougar' has a negative connotation, and I don't see anything negative about Samantha, and sexuality, and sensuality and choice," the 53-year-old said.
"I don't think that she stands or sits in bars waiting for young men to prey on, and I think that's something that a lot of people who are uncomfortable with strong women have labelled her."
Cattrall also revealed that she lost the opportunity to appear on the cover of a magazine for women over 40 after refusing to pose with a live cougar.
