Def Jam and SRP have big plans for Rihanna in 2008. According to an article from the Nation News, Rihanna is going to be visiting Africa, South America and Japan early in 2008 and then will do a huge United States tour from May to July. Rihanna’s production and management team of Evan Rogers, Carl Struken and Marc Jordan are looking forward to things to come.
“After July we will focus on movies and give her a break from being on the road, where she has been for a year straight,” Rogers told the Nation News.
He also mentioned two more singles are going to be released from her recent album, Good Girl Gone Bad.
“We’re only scratching the surface of where Rihanna is going. Movies will be a big part of her future,” he added.
Rogers also stated that the team is also looking forward to the Grammy’s in February 2008 saying they are “unpredictable” but they “like the chances”.

Rihanna has been forced to cancel three UK concert dates by her doctor.
The 19-year-old singer was due to perform in Nottingham on Saturday, but she pulled out and postponed the concert. She also cancelled her scheduled gig in Bournemouth last Tuesday.
The 'Umbrella' hitmaker was due to play Birmingham's NEC Arena tonight but her doctor advised her to not go through with the show.
A representative from the NEC said that Rihanna "appreciates the love and support of all her fans and wants nothing more than to see and connect with them".
The reason for the doctor's order has not been confirmed.
Rihanna started her European tour in Paris last month and was due to finish on December 21 in Russia.
The Good Girl Gone Bad tour keeps rocking its way through Europe, as Rihanna’s most recent stop saw her performing for fans at the MEN Arena in Manchester.
Dressed in her usual dominatrix outfit, the 19-year-old R&B sensation did her best to show fans why she’s nominated for 6 Grammy awards - which she can’t believe herself.
"Oh my God, I can’t believe it. Six Grammy nominations?” Rihanna said to mentor/composer Evan Rogers, who relayed news of the nominations from the United States. “I just can’t believe this is happening to me. I almost have to pinch myself to believe this is happening to me,” the Umbrella hitmaker continued.
Along with being up for the prestigious Record Of The Year bid, Rihanna’s also up for Song Of The Year, Best Dance Recording, Best R&B Song, Best Rap/Song Collaboration and Best R&B Performance.
"Yesterday, Rihanna was a guest at UK’s Radio One, for their Live Lounge series - an in-studio song session. Rihanna sang “Hate That I Love You” and “Umbrella.”
You can listen to the session and interview on the BBC Radio site. Rihanna talked about spending her Christmas in Barbados; and toward the end, Rihanna told the story of how Mary J. Blige almost stole the biggest hit of her career."
Proof that she can sing :) dont think much of the backing singers though!

Bajan singer, Rihanna, last night copped her first ever Grammy award for the song that has taken the globe by storm, 'Umbrella'.
Rihanna, wearing a purple Zac Posen knee-length dress and sporting a shorter hairstyle, looked visibly nervous as she walked on to the stage and was shown to the mike by mentor and record label exec, Jay-Z.
She dedicated the award, the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, to her father, as well as her mother and brothers and to Barbados. This as Jay-Z interrupted to thank producers and others at the label.
Rihanna also performed at the ceremony, appearing in a short khaki-colored dress that looked almost like a grass creation held together by a black belt with matching black boots.
She opened with her global hit, 'Umbrella', before transitioning off to hits by The Time and the Recording Academy's chairman, Jimmy Jam, with whom she shared the stage.
