the last book i read was "may contain nuts", i cant remember who its by but its a really excellent book, really funny, me, my mum and my sis all read it on hols and my mums reccommending it to everyone lol!
I'm reading Cecila Ahern " if you could see me now", it's really good, i've already read her other two "ps i love you" and "where rainbows end". They are all great.
This week I have read:
Labyrinth by Kate Mosse - grail time travelling tale set in Cathar country (interesting to me because I spent a holiday a Carcassone)
The Abortionists Daughter - found this one hard to get into.
The Righteous Men by Sam Bourne - good story
The Island - a good summer read
and I am half way through The Historian - a superior dracula type story.
Yes, I have far too much time on my hands!
Just finished reading Street Kid by Judy westwater it was very good..
Judy was 3 years old when her co-man father snatched her from her mother
kept like a dog in his backyard she ate from bins to stay alive..
I read this on my holidays and really enjoyed it, I'm not much of a book reader but when I read a book I generally enjoy it. I loved the plot twists in this novel and the character of TC. Shame about Will, he spoilt the book for me. Far better than the Davinic Code in my opinion.Quote:

It was one of those books you get into really quickly, and as you said, the twists made it gripping. I didn't mind Will too much, he was just a very typical kind of character for that kind of book.Quote:

I'm reading Hotel Babylon at the mo' since I fell in love with the tv series so much. It's pretty good so far :)
I have had gift vouchers from waterstones sitting in a draw since christmas as everytime I went into town I forgot to take them with me, anyway this weekend has been a bank holiday up in edinburgh so I was off work so we took a trip into town and went to waterstones. I bought the three books from the lord of the rings, I had the book last year but mybag got stolen form work with the book in it and I haven't replaced it so I had to buy the three seperately. I also bought the book "charlotte's web" This was one of my favourite books along with "The Lion, the whitch and the wardrobe" when I was a school and it was a joy to read it to marley at bed time.
Maximum-The Angel Experiment. It's about a group of mutant children that have wings and escaping some evil dudes who want to kill them.
Casino Royale - Ian Fleming (For the 4th time in the past year :rotfl: )
Anyone who loved the movie will love this novel that the film was based on

I am reading The Guide To Life, The World And Everything! A very interesting book, we got them today in school and gives you lots of tips and advice when your growing up and exploring new things. A very good book!
I am reading, 'The God Delusion' by Richard Dawkins.
His earlier book ,'The Blind Watchmaker' set me firmly of the path of atheism and I think he is am amazing writer.
Just finished reading Dont Tell Mummy by Toni Maguire..
Toni tells the story about her terrible childhood and becoming pregnant at the age of 14 by her father...
very hard book to put down you just want to keep reading...
finished reading "honeymoon" ages ago, it got better nearer the end. havent read any books in ages, need to start reading the plays for my course soon though
Im reading the book i got for christmas. Peter Kay the sound of laughter. Its his autobiaography and very funny. If you like him as a comedian its a good read. Especially about growing up in Boltonand going to school with the nuns, working at Frnny Lees toilet roll factory.
I also have a Waterstones voucher if my uncles girlfriend so im going to buy Feed the Goat, which is Shaun goaters autobiography. It looks really good, about his childhood in Bermuda, his failure at united than finally finding luck as a footballer at Man City.
Notes On A Scandal by Zoe Heller.
Brought it becuase I've just seen the film, but it is meant to be a brilliant book regardless. From what I've read it's a very refreshing read, simple storyline but brilliantly written. Great for those who have seen the film, or for those who appreciate an intelligantly written book with some deep emotional/physcocial complexity.
Hmm sounds very interesting, Im going shopping soon I want a book to read so I might give it a go
i was a bit stuck for stuff to read so my auntie lent me her alan titchmarsh books. now before you laugh they really are quite good novels, good romance novels if you like that kind of read.
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.
Yep, its a Victorian Novel, but its a proper good book!
Oh respect Abi! Thats one of my fav books of all time!!! :cheer:
PS.......7  lol
i have started reading marley and me and the road of the dead and they are both quite good books but i cant seem to get into reading at the mo
Is that the one where the girl has a termination but it goes wrong and she can't have any more children?
I'm reading One Child by Torey Hayden. It's about a six year old girl who's mother left her on a highway (set in America) when she was four and was abused. She set fire to a little boy and was "sentenced" to a psychiatric hospital. While waiting for a place she was put in a special needs class for retarded kids. Her teacher (the author) was an educational psychologist and special needs teacher and she was the only one who realised that the girl wasn't mad. It's a true life thing and it's really good. I was almost crying in places.
Yeh thats the one she has an termination that goes wrong...
the one your reading sounds ok think i will have to have alook for it..
Just read Please daddy no by Stuart howarth ..
All he wants is for his father to love him but he is made to believe he is too naughty to be loved.
