Coronation Street spoilers: Killer Clayton Hibbs returns along with mum Shona Ramsey
Coronation Street stars Julia Goulding and Callum Harrison have returned to filming as Shona Ramsey and her killer son Clayton Hibbs for brand new scenes which will air next month – and new mum Julia brought a very special guest on location with her.
Clayton is currently in prison and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) is set to be left crushed when he learns that Shona is back in touch with her incarcerated son – despite her telling David that she doesn’t want to see him again.
Following her injuries during the Christmas Day shooting, Shona has lost a lot of her memories and can’t even recall who her husband is and she has driven him to the edge with the revelation that she doesn’t want him to be a part of her life as she continues to recover.
But pics of the cast arriving to film new scenes confirm that Clayton has managed to wangle his way back into his mum’s life, despite him taking her hostage not long ago and leading to her having to stab him to escape.
It remains to be seen whether there is any hope for David but he is also set to hit difficult times when he comes up against a gang of armed youths and ends up fleeing for his life as they give chase.
Wrapped up warm, Julia brought a very cosy looking baby Franklin Wolf on set with her – we bet the cast and crew struggled to get work done as they fought to spend time with the adorable tot.
After Franklin Wolf was born in November, Julia gushed on Instagram: ‘Franklin Wolf Silver born on 30/11/19. He’s changed our lives for the better in every way. I feel like I’ve known him my whole life.’
Julia’s return scenes will air this spring.
Coronation Street star Julia Goulding has teased a surprise ending to Shona Ramsey and David Platt's emotional storyline.
Shona is set to make a devastating return to the ITV soap as she suffers from memory loss after being shot on Christmas Day.
But while she'll initially have no idea who her husband is, Julia has teased that there may still be a happy conclusion for her character and David.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media in a Zoom Q&A, Julia opened up about the possibility of the couple reuniting.
"It will be interesting," she said. "They're starting from scratch and he has an uphill struggle as she is really stepping back from him. I think it will require a lot of teamwork from them.
"I think it would be lovely to see them fall back in love starting from a very plain ground. I'm looking forward to it, it's quite nice."
On whether there could be another wedding, she said: "That would be great – the last wedding was interesting to say the least. Seeing David in a suit and tie and not at the bistro, who knows.
"It's nice to know there will be challenging times for them – they work best together when they have something to overcome. But to have a warm fuzzy feeling of a happy ending is nice."
But what does she think about the possibility of there not being a happy ending?
"That would be interesting," she said. "There's a chance he might not fall back with him though or he might not fall in love with the new Shona. It would be sad to see them parted."

Coronation Street's Shona Platt left devastated in return storyline
Coronation Street's Shona Platt faces a nasty shock next week as she returns to Weatherfield following her time away.
Shona's marriage to David will hit the rocks as she uncovers a surprising betrayal just hours after arriving back home.
Over the past few weeks, Shona has been supporting her step-daughter Lily by accompanying her on a six-week football training course.
This means that Shona hasn't been around for the fallout from her step-son Max Turner's involvement in Griff Reynolds' extremist gang.
Next week, Max's dad David discovers that the teenager has been attacked by bullies at the secure training centre, shortly after receiving a six-month sentence.
David struggles to cope with the news and tries to distract himself by getting drunk at Victoria Garden.
Maria Connor is sympathetic towards David and heads over to see him. When David leans in for a drunken kiss, Maria is disgusted and orders him to go home.
Shortly afterwards, Shona returns to Weatherfield and promises David that they'll face everything together from now on.
Unfortunately, when Maria tells her husband Gary Windass about David's earlier actions, it doesn't take long before word gets back to Shona.
David defends himself by telling Gary that he was drunk and already deeply regrets what happened.
These excuses clearly won't work on Shona, who tells David that she's leaving him.
Later in the week, David glumly tells his mum Gail that his marriage seems to be over.
However, Maria soon intervenes by assuring Shona that David's drunken betrayal didn't mean anything. Will Shona agree to give David another chance?
In real life, Julia Goulding ? who plays Shona ? welcomed the arrival of her second child with husband Ben Silver in November last year. Julia confirmed on Instagram that she had given birth to a baby girl, who the couple have named Emmeline Beanie Silver.
