Blame? What's to blame her for? Dating isn't a crime.
Having once been a 16 year old girl I think they're portraying the situation realistically. Hormonal teenagers...
It's a common trope in fiction that a teenage girl seduces an older man who's powerless to resist. It's one step away from victim blaming given that it's the man who really has the power in the situation despite appearances to the contrary.
Of course her parents and most of the community will blame Tyler, but we viewers have been given an insight into his heroic efforts to resist her advances...
The Piper/Tyler situation isn't just dating given that she's a schoolgirl and he's a grown man. I too remember being a sixteen year old girl and I realise now I didn't always know what was good for me, and sometimes needed to be protected for my own good. The fact that we as viewers know Tyler is a decent person at heart doesn't mean it's appropriate for him to be dating a child eight years younger than him, or that Piper's parents shouldn't intervene.
I hope she at least turns seventeen before they sleep together.
I thought she was just turned 17 ???? according to various wiki sites .... whatever she is very immature. The way she jumps to the selfie blog every time she has an issue (to share with the big wide world) I just see a very immature child with no common sense on how her own actions effect others. I remember being 16/17 - the way she is being portrayed - she acts around 14/15. ..... and just to add .... in the close up shots ..... she is well older than a 17 year old.
Ooooh...I hope you're right that Piper's 17 as that would make Tyler just a little less of a creep to me. I've noticed they've recently made Piper's look older: the pink hair extension are gone and she's wearing more makeup. I agree she acts very immature though whatever her age.
Piper Willis and Tyler Brennan might be one of Neighbours' hottest couples right now, but fans shouldn't expect a wedding any time soon.
https://youtu.be/17-gKLmuVGs
Travis Burns and Mavournee Hazel, who play the popular pair, seemed somewhat horrified by the idea of their characters getting hitched and having children in the Aussie show's latest video Q&A.
"No. Piper is a strong, independent women," Hazel insisted after a fan asked if there were any plans for the couple to start a family. "Although when Tyler is around she's whipped.
"But no way, there is too much potential for her to start a family. She is 16. That is very sudden. And Piper would be a really bad mum."

The pair also discussed their kissing scenes, while Burns revealed if any of the cast members would be his groomsmen at his upcoming wedding to Emma Lane - who has appeared on the show as a guest character.
Neighbours is lining up the ultimate cringeworthy moment as Piper Willis takes revenge in spectacular style at her parents' divorce party.
Piper (Mavournee Hazel) targets her half-sister Paige Smith and ex-boyfriend Tyler Brennan after discovering that they've betrayed her again by getting steamy at the garage.
After a few days of biding her time and keeping her knowledge to herself, Piper decides to get even as Brad (Kip Gamblin) and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) celebrate the now-amicable end to their marriage.
Pretending that she wants to repair their friendship, Piper invites Tyler (Travis Burns) to attend the gathering and he agrees – blissfully unaware that she knows about his second passionate encounter with Paige and wants to get revenge publicly.

Later, the party is in full swing when Piper plays her "family slideshow" for the guests, which turns out to be CCTV footage of Paige (Olympia Valance) and Tyler having sex in the garage.
As the guests struggle to know where to look, Paige and Tyler are utterly humiliated and there's a huge reaction from everyone else too.
While Brad and Terese are furious over Piper's immature actions, local priest Jack Callahan appears hurt and storms straight out of the party. Is this another sign that he still has feelings for Paige?

I don't know why I expected better from Tyler. Paige deserves everything she gets. She doesn't care about piper at all
Remember when Piper was actually sort of mature? I get she's hurt and what Paige and Tyler done was disrespectful to her feelings, but the way Piper is dealing with it is ridiculous.
I know she's a teenager and hormones are all over the place etc, but that's not an excuse.
To play a tape of people having sex, whose parents, friends and other family are there? That's not teen angst, that's stupidity.
It's like when they ruined Paige. She came in as this really mature young women and they've made her really annoying and pathetic.
why is a priest at a divorce party
So, will on-off Neighbours couple Piper Willis and Tyler Brennan ever get back together?
It's the question that their die-hard shippers have been desperate to know the answer to in recent weeks after the dramatic events of the Erinsborough High formal drove them apart.
As ever with Neighbours, we'll have to stay tuned to see how it all plays out. But Mavournee Hazel, who plays Piper, may have dropped a hint or two when she caught up with Digital Spy this week...
Did the huge reaction to Tyler and Piper's relationship take you by surprise?
"Yeah, it did! At first, we found that a lot of people said: 'No, Tyler is too old for Piper, it's kind of weird and we don't like it'. But the more the audience saw of our relationship, the more they realised that Tyler and Piper were really clicking as a couple and it wasn't creepy.
"The fans really loved that, especially on Twitter. We were really surprised, but Travis and I both have the same ethic when it comes to social media. We interact with the fans and try to support them in return. It's like a big community, which is really lovely."
Tyler and Piper have now broken up for the time being. Do you think the Neighbours writers will take the fan reaction on board for future storylines?
"Absolutely. I definitely know that is a consideration. When audiences love or hate something, the Neighbours producers, writers and digital team absolutely take that into account when they're deciding whether or not to continue or kill a character's storyline or relationship.
"So hopefully the support is strong enough! I definitely think it is. Travis [Burns, who plays Tyler] even did a petition on Twitter and got 1,500 responses in favour of Tyler and Piper. It was crazy! He really did take that to the producers and they were taken aback by it too. They could see how much hope was invested in our relationship."
So is there anything coming up which will make the 'Typer' fans happy?
"For a while, Piper is an outcast. The writers really did give Tyler and Piper space when they broke up after the school formal, which isn't great because Tyler then went and slept with Paige!
"There is an event that pushes them closer together again, but Tyler and Piper feel like they're having to start again because so much trust was lost in their relationship – even as a friendship. So it feels like they're starting a whole new relationship again. It's like building blocks – slowly but surely they will rebuild their friendship."
Can you tell us any secrets about working with Travis Burns?
"He's so much fun to work with. As for a secret? Travis has a better skin routine than the girls at Neighbours. I'm not even kidding. He gets infra-red saunas, chemical peels... he overtakes Olympia [Valance, who plays Paige] and all of the other girls. I feel like he's got a better skin routine than most YouTube beauty gurus, to be honest!"
We know Piper takes revenge against Paige and Tyler next week by exposing their fling at a family party. Are you glad she does that, or has she taken it too far?
"Hindsight is a great thing, isn't it? At the time, Piper very much acts on impulse and that's very true to her character. All of Piper's decisions are done with her gut and her emotion. Sometimes that's great, as Tyler and Piper's relationship was one outcome of that. But for an intelligent character, Piper doesn't always think about the consequences.
"I think Paige and Tyler had to be caught out for what they were doing, though. They were lying to Piper and didn't want her to know what was going on. That's horrible – and Paige is her sister. Piper feels humiliated by what's happened, so she just wants them to feel as humiliated as she did."
How do you feel when some people on Twitter call Piper immature?
"When I first started, I was very defensive about the character, purely because I felt that her and I had a lot of similar qualities. So when people said 'I don't like Piper', I was taking it personally because I was thinking 'That's me as well, that's what I do!'
"But over time, and after being on the show for a year now, I'm realising that it doesn't mean that. Piper is definitely immature – she's 16 and she does act on impulse. The best way I can describe her is that when she's in teenage situations, she's an adult, but when she's in adult situations, she's like a kid! That sums her up."
Paige is getting a bit of a backlash from fans at the moment. Do you think it's unfair that Tyler – the male character – is almost getting off scot free?
"That's a really good point. I was even talking today to the make-up girls about this. I also said to Travis today: 'I can't remember if Tyler actually says sorry to Piper!' Piper and Paige are both saying sorry all the time for what they've done, but it's never the male's fault!
"It shows the fans' loyalty to Piper and Tyler that they see it as Paige's fault and not Tyler's. But Tyler is equally to blame – he could have said no but he didn't. Twice!"
Who do you miss most from the cast who have left Neighbours recently?
"Ari and Harley [who played Imogen and Josh]. When I first moved to Melbourne, I didn't know anyone and the Willises were really like a family to me. Ari is my best friend here in Melbourne and we still see each other outside of work. So I really miss being in the Willis house with her and getting to do breakfast scenes with her – they were so much fun.
"It's the same with Harley. I really miss him. He's over in LA at the moment doing his thing over there, but I'm still close to him outside of work."
Who from the current cast would you like to have more scenes with?
"I love working with Ryan Moloney, who plays Toadie. He's so funny and it's such a shame that our characters never cross over. When they do, I try to make the most of it because he's such a fun guy. I learn so much from him as a person and as an actor.
"I'd also like to work even more with Rebekah [Elmaloglou, who plays Terese]. Piper and Terese's relationship is really weird and I feel like a lot of younger audience members can relate to it. It's that awkward mother/daughter relationship."
We know that Piper's half-brother Ned is back on the Street next week. Will he cause a lot more drama?
"Naturally – he's a Willis! I feel like Piper learned a lot from him. Piper plays the revealing video footage of Paige and Tyler next week, but Ned also played some incriminating video footage at the Citizen of the Year award, so they're similar in that respect.
"And of course he's going to cause trouble – he's Brad Willis's son. He's going to be causing trouble in lots of different ways with lots of different people..."
Digital Spy
I'd like to see Piper and Tyler back together but geez Piper has recently been so annoying. I like her but it seems whenever something doesn't go her way she throws a tanty and does something childish and stupid. Another tanty coming up next week.
If I was Tyler I would be asking for a copy of the tape :ninja: Nothing worse for someone who is trying to humiliate you as when you roll with it and laugh .... or he could simply say "well I had a lucky escape"
Paige, well she has a twisted motive that deserves questioning, but then ex Home and Away priest boy needs to cut his man bits off if he really wants to be a priest and stop messing with the girls head as if she is some kind of religious test of his reverence to the god bloke.
I may not be a fan of the celibacy criterium in that faith as it was only enacted within the church because of nun priest interactions way way back and isnt in the bible. We may as well still be fiscally buying our time out of purgatory or purchasing the 1006th nail that held Jebus to the cross. But then the very fact that the Pope has to walk over a pit to confirm his hs man bits before he can be the pope reaks of weird reactionary riles.
Oh and Ive said this before, but Saint Susanh had already seduced a priest into her bed way back when in a story line, so this is kinda deja vous.

Ever wondered what Neighbours teen Piper Willis is really thinking?
Well, look no further. The feisty teen takes centre stage once again in a brand new web spinoff that sees Piper 'pipe up' about the things that are bothering her the most that week.
And it isn't hard to guess what might be bothering her in this instalment.
With her friend Xanthe Canning having found herself in a frightening situation in a hotel room, Piper shared her thoughts on the situation. And also also revealed how she cheered Xanthe up in the aftermath (it's rather amusing).

But that's not all. The even better news is that this web spin-off is set to become a regular feature, so make sure you check back next week to see what Piper is talking about then.
We were first introduced to Piper, played by Mavournee Hazel, in a series of Neighbours webisodes last year.
Digital Spy
We'd only chatted to her a few weeks ago, but when we caught up with Neighbours star Mavournee Hazel again this week, there was still an almost-endless list of new things to talk to her about.
Mavournee's popular character Piper Willis is heavily involved in the show's upcoming hot air balloon crash, we're still impatiently waiting for that 'Typer' reunion, and we're dying to get as much Dee Bliss gossip as we can. So take it away, Mavournee...
How did you feel about being part of the hot air balloon disaster coming up?
"I was so excited, especially knowing who else was going to be in the balloon. I really love working with Olympia Valance (Paige), Kate Kendall (Lauren) and Jodi Anasta (Elly). So as soon as I knew those were the girls I was going to be up there with, I knew it was going to be so much fun and it'd be a breeze. Literally, because we were up in the air and it was windy!
"We were all asked beforehand if we were scared of heights, but luckily none of us were. It was really exciting and we went on location for it as well – we weren't shooting it on the Neighbours lot."
Can you tell us any secrets from filming?
"We weren't in a balloon! We had the balloon pilot there with us on the day, we had the basket and we were suspended from a crane. We didn't have the balloon, but all of that has been edited in with CGI in post-production. So it was a bit weird but really exciting.
"When you see us squealing in the promo trailer, that was actually the first time we were lifted up, so it was a bit daunting looking over the edge! But it was really fun."
Neighbours does these big events around twice a year now. Is this one up there with the best?
"Absolutely. I've been here for the school fire, the explosion and now this balloon accident. I was quite involved in the explosion storyline because it led to Josh's death and the repercussions were really big afterwards.
"But this storyline I'm even more involved in, because I'm actually in the balloon. So for me this is probably the best one. And who else has done a hot air balloon crash? I know Home and Away are doing a plane crash, but there was a whole series dedicated to a plane crash – Lost! There's no TV show dedicated to a hot air balloon crash, so we're making history."
Will the episode be a tear-jerker?
"Definitely. The episode's cliffhanger is going to aggravate a lot of people. We just had a screening for it at work, and at the end of the episode, even my reaction was: 'Oh my gosh, no!'
"People's injuries in the crash really do vary. Some of us come off unscathed with a scratch and a bruise, some of us are really injured, and for some it's touch and go in a critical condition..."
You warned us a while back that there'd be a wait before any more big Piper and Tyler scenes. How have the fans been coping?
"Well, to be honest, I thought they'd start dropping off but they're still going strong. Every day I'm seeing 'Typer' things on Twitter and it just makes me so excited, because we film three months in advance and obviously I have scenes coming up with Travis [Burns] because our characters are friends again. We've seen that in scenes airing at the moment.
"And I'm just so excited for the fans to see what's to come for our relationship. Obviously it's still a soap, so there are ups and downs. But the Tyler and Piper fans will be really pleased with what's to come..."
It seemed pretty light-hearted, but you and Travis even had a Twitter argument over Tyler and Piper's break-up. And we have to say you definitely won it...
"Thank you, I totally won the argument! It did start off light-hearted, but it kind of got a bit serious. It was only supposed to be one or two comments and we were doing it at work, but it carried on when I got home and we kept fighting! But everything I was saying was completely valid, and as you said, I won."
Were you disappointed not to be involved in next week's Queensland episodes?
"Yeah! I first heard about them one day when Lilly [Van Der Meer, who plays Xanthe] came into the green room and said: 'Oh my God, I get to go back home for a storyline'. I wondered if Piper would be going but I had to stay, because the Queensland scenes were filmed at the same time as the boxing episodes.
"I had to be there for those, because that was the start of Piper and Tyler talking again and Piper being there for Paige. So unfortunately I missed out on the Queensland episodes, but maybe that means I get to go and do another better trip somewhere else."
Do you agree with Neighbours fans who think your on-screen brother Ben Hall (Ned) should be a permanent cast member?
"100%. I love Ben. He is such a beautiful person and he's such a great actor as well. So absolutely they need to bring Ben back as a permanent character.
"The Willis family is disintegrating and there's not a lot of us left, so it'd be really nice to have an older brother again. I really love the Piper/Ned relationship as well, so to have him back would be brilliant. But he's always running off."
New twin brothers Leo and David have also joined the cast this week. Are they settling in well?
"Yeah, absolutely. The boys are just so lovely. Tim [Kano, who plays Leo] is gorgeous and so is Takaya [Honda, who plays David]. They've slotted in really well. Piper doesn't really have much to do with either of them, so I've not had a chance to work with them yet. But in upcoming storylines, I might be working with one of the boys a little bit more, which is exciting."
What's it like having Madeleine West back on set as Dee Bliss?
"I actually wasn't in for the days that she was filming. It's the same whenever Gina Liano from The Real Housewives Of Melbourne is filming with us, and it was the same when Katherine Kelly Lang from The Bold and the Beautiful came on. I'm just never at work when these incredible people are here, so I haven't met Madeleine yet.
"But the Dee storyline is going to be huge. I don't think you guys are ready for it. Her return is a massive cliffhanger and it leads to a really intense storyline that old die-hard fans are going to really like. There's a lot of twists and turns."
Neighbours is on a production break at the moment – and we've heard that your old co-star Ariel Kaplan (Imogen) has been showing you the sights of London during your time off. Has she been a good tour guide?
"She has! She's been staying over here and she's really given me the essence of London, I think. Last night we were in Shoreditch and we were in Box Park. I'm doing the touristy things as well, but I also want to have a proper taste of what it's really like being here. Although maybe I need to see it in winter then, not this lovely weather we're having!
"This is my first time in the UK, but I've always been so obsessed and enthralled by it all. Everything I watch is from the UK in terms of TV shows. I don't know what it is - everyone's so cool, everyone dresses so nice, it's London, so why wouldn't you want to be here? And it's the accent - as soon as I got off the plane, you guys had me at the accent."

Neighbours stars Mavournee Hazel and Travis Burns have been teasing us for weeks by hinting that popular couple 'Typer' will be growing closer again - and finally we have some new gossip on exactly how it might happen.
Piper Willis and Tyler Brennan had a very messy break-up earlier this year, but their die-hard fans have always held out hope that they could somehow work things out again.
So the good news is that when Piper's birthday arrives early next month and everyone forgets, it's Tyler who steps in to give her a day to remember.
While Neighbours aren't giving all the details away (where would be the fun in that?), you can expect to see Tyler turn up to see Piper with a present and a plan.
He then whisks her off to a mystery location and it's fair to say that the romantic spark is still there as they enjoy spending time together.
But will this really be a full-on 'Typer' reunion at this stage, or will they just stay friends for now? That's what we'll have to tune in to find out - but we have a feeling that nothing will ever be plain sailing for this pairing.
Speaking to Digital Spy about 'Typer' fans this week, Mavournee revealed: "Well, to be honest, I thought they'd start dropping off but they're still going strong.
"Every day I'm seeing 'Typer' things on Twitter and it just makes me so excited, because we film three months in advance and obviously I have scenes coming up with Travis because our characters are friends again. We've seen that in scenes airing at the moment.
"And I'm just so excited for the fans to see what's to come for our relationship. Obviously it's still a soap, so there are ups and downs. But the Tyler and Piper fans will be really pleased with what's to come."
Let's hope so! And let's hope Piper gives everyone else on Ramsay Street a piece of her mind for forgetting her birthday, too.
Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, October 6 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

I'll never be a fan of this relationship even if it is less inappropriate now Piper's a bit older.
Even trying to put it out of my head that I found Tyler a creep to be lusting after a schoolgirl, why would she get with a man who dumped her and jumped straight into bed with her sister? And why would he get a with a girl who played revenge porn of him and said sister at a family gathering?
The whole thing is distasteful in my opinion!
Just a soap. Forbidden passion is always going to be a staple storyline. It's like criticising the sky for being blue.
I'm tryin to think of what to say bout creepy sky
1) don't look at it
2) it's all around you
3) stay inside

Typer fans listen up, because Neighbours has just released a very exciting new promo for an episode you will not want to miss.
Mavournee Hazel and Travis Burns have been teasing us for weeks by hinting that popular couple 'Typer' will be growing closer again - and it actually looks like it's going to happen tomorrow.
We already know that Piper's birthday is set to bring the duo together, but bosses hadn't exactly confirmed it would lead to their reunion.
But this new trailer pretty much confirms it.

The smitten pair seem to be very close indeed after Tyler whisks her off to a special location to mark her big day.
And if this isn't their reunion scene, then we are not sure what will be...
Speaking to Digital Spy about the big fan reaction to 'Typer', Mavournee revealed previously: "Well, to be honest, I thought they'd start dropping off but they're still going strong.

Well it wasn't exactly the "reunion" hinted at, but it sure got my little Typer-loving heart full of hope again. He still needs to apologise though for banging her sister when he knew how much it would hurt her.
