Kerrie and Ruby stood in Kerrie’s front room wearing bright orange dresses
Kerrie- Tina I thought this was meant to be an improvement on the last one
Tina started to laugh
Ruby- we look like a pair of giant oranges all round and orange
Kerrie- these are worse than the vomit coloured ones and that’s saying something
Tina- I think we’ll have to start again
Kerrie- you think if I ever wore this out in the open I’d have to wear a brown paper bag on my head these are embarrassing
Ruby- can’t we just have a normal colour like black or red
Kerrie- yeah or just go to a shop with my dad’s credit card and buy a couple of dresses
Tina- all right we’ll go in a few minutes
Kerrie- here open this
She passed Tina a bottle of wine
Kerrie- I think we’re gonna need it

Chrissie watched the three men enter
Chrissie- and what can I get you boys?
Noah- something mind numbing
Chrissie- a couple of bottles and an orange juice then
Johnny- please
Jake- Lia all right
Chrissie- yeah she’s spark out
Jake- and you
Chrissie- wish I could join her I’m knackered Little Mo had to call in Freddie’s really unwell
Jake- do you want a hand
Chrissie- you’ve got your own job to do
Johnny- you can have him back Chrissie I’ve finished with him today
Chrissie- thanks Johnny well finish your drink babes and then you can take over and I’ll get some kip
Jake lent over the bar and kissed her
The postman entered the pub
Chrissie- post the highlight of my day thanks Terry
She took the letter off him
Chrissie- bills, bills, bills, oh and a letter from Dennis
She opened it
Noah- enjoying the Florida sunshine is he
Chrissie- yeah he is
Jake- is he coming back
Chrissie- yeah he and Sharon will be back next week
Jake- wow eight months away and he’s finally coming back I’ll call Pat and tell her
Chrissie- thanks
Noah- she has been running his business for him
Chrissie- well seen as though you offered pop along and see her will you
Noah- sure after my drink

This is ace can't wait for Dennis and Sharon to come in to it.

She felt something wet and cold hit her face
Tina and Kerrie burst out laughing
Ruby placed her hand onto her face it was paint bright pink paint
Ruby saw the tin on the floor near her feet open
Kerrie- don’t you dare
Ruby flicked the paint off the paintbrush straight at her sister and it hit her all over the bright orange dress
Kerrie- you just declared war
Tina- you better not get me involved in this
Tina screamed as the paint hit her right in her face
Kerrie- sorry but it’s too late now
Tina- right that's it

Noah- do you think you’ll make an honest woman out of Chrissie then
Jake- one day maybe what about you and...no offence Johnny...the she-devil
Johnny- none taken it’s true
Noah- I don’t know if she goes mad decorating the house imagine what she’d do planning a wedding
Jake- true she does seem a bit well
Noah- scary, controlling
Jake- you took the words right out of my mouth
Johnny- right well I better find Tina and tell her the honeymoon is booked
The doors to the pub swung open and the three quite tidally women staggered in Ruby and Kerrie still in their awful dresses but all three covered in paint
Kerrie- drinks please Chrissie what do you think wedding dresses of the year or what
Chrissie- nice usual girls
Tina- we’re off shopping in a bit and Kerrie insisted on wearing them
Kerrie- oh hello darling like the paint put it to better use oh and I got paint on your favourite shirt whoops silly me
Noah- cheers babes
Kerrie- don’t mention it sweetheart
She sipped her drink
Kerrie- daddy...
Johnny- why do I have a feeling I won’t like this
Kerrie- can I borrow one of your cars to go into town with Tina and Ruby for dresses? Please
Johnny- not dressed like that
Kerrie- we'll get changed we just wanted to show off the wonderful colours and the really flattering dresses that make my hips look like I'm a size 22
Tina- oh go on Johnny please
Johnny- all right but I’ll drive you
Kerrie- thanks dad come on Rubes
They walked out
Noah- well she seems in a better mood there is hope yet
