Even on this sight, people were discussing Rosie being kidnapped by her mother, and a possible car crash etc.
I can understand that the lady in question, was distressed by the scenes, being of abducting/or taking a child away without the child's consent. And it could be portrayed as bad taste.
Had it been of a different scene, for example, picnic of two lovers it wouldn't have been seen as bad taste.
But you guys are right about the media, they do have to sensationalise things so that it all gets out of proportion.
Until the episode airs, we have no idea what the storyline will be for definate - so I dont think anyone can complain until then.
If the moors are merely a location and not portrayed as the actual moors, I perosnally dont see the problem.
If someone hadnt seen the filming, and the moors are not protrayed as such, no-one woudl have been any the wiser.
I don't think saying this lady shouldn't watch is the point anyone was trying to make and don't see how that would help. I think if any other programme did the same she would feel the same. To us its just a location, to her this is the place her son was murdered!
I totally agree that's it an over reaction,if you think about how many murders have happened everywhere,or similarities between soaps and real life, soapland would be stuffed!
Oh dear dear that looks like the end of the much loved Heartbeat which is set in the Yorkshire Moors. It regularly involves scenes of criminal activity on the said Moors. What absolute hypocrisy on the part of The Sun. With respect to the woman in question I think her reaction (if the Sun are to be believed  is way OTT)
Do the relatives of people murdered in 9/11 call for any programmes or films which depict New York to be pulled. What about EE should it be pulled because it takes place in London and it could remind folks of 7/7. After all Walford has a tube station and there was a Barizilian man shot dead in a tube station.
Thats how ridiculous this over-reaction is by the Sun
I could have understood the outrage at the plane crash in Emmerdale years ago because of Lockerbye (sp?) but it still went ahead. It is not like Sally is going to murder or torture Rosie in the moors
I do think this is going a bit over the top isn't it - if storylines weren't filmed about things that have happened, or near to places where people have had awful things happen to them, nothing would get filmed!! Very daft..
