Troubled Aaron Livesy will leave Emmerdale next week after making the brave decision to report his own father for child sex abuse.
The villager has finally admitted that he was raped by Gordon Livesy when he was a child, and despite initially deciding not to go to the police, Aaron has a change of heart next week but worries how they'll prove the allegations.
Back in the village Cain Dingle reveals to the rest of the family about the abuse and Adam Barton tells Robert that Aaron has gone to the police, grateful for his part in getting him to open up.
Is the net finally closing in on Gordon or will he manipulate his way out of it? It certainly looks like he will walk away from it all when he threatens to get Cain sent down for what he did to him unless Aaron tells the police he lied about the abuse.
Gordon’s adamant Aaron won't win, leaving him shaken. Aaron tells Chas about Gordon's threat and she's shocked when he says he's leaving the village.
Meanwhile, Moira and Chas try to hide their dread when the police arrive, wanting to talk to Cain about an attempted murder - has Gordon carried out his threat?

TW: BTW, the SoapSquawk picture going around for now of Aaron entering the police station is not from tomorrow's 9 February 2016 episode but from August 2014 when Aaron went to the police to take the blame for the garage fire that Adam started.

TW: It is unclear what the police mean about Cain and "an attempted murder" to me for now. Maybe this issue is not related to Gordon?
TW: Spoilers say that Aaron and Cain both have long storylines ahead of them for 2016. Spoilers say that Aaron does report Gordon to the police on Monday 8 Feb. Gordon then threatens Aaron on Tuesday 9 Feb, after which Aaron leaves Emmerdale village (but returns on 23 Feb). Whatever happens next after 9 Feb, nothing the police deal with seem to affect either the Aaron or Cain character short-term or long-term, it seems. Gordon has no clear future in Emmerdale, however. Remember that Gordon provided the police with a false alibi for Aaron about the warehouse robbery with Ross before Christmas 2015 and that Gordon can for now claim that Cain attempted to murder Gordon by drug overdose in January 2016 (no independent testifiable witnesses, however). Whether Gordon stays for a while as a nuisance around Emmerdale, or leaves, or gets killed in a while remains to be seen.

Emmerdale airs an emotional showdown tonight (February 11) as Paddy Kirk tries to cut all ties with his former lover Tess Harris.
Paddy (Dominic Brunt) decides that it's no more Mr Nice Guy when Tess pays a visit to him at home, begging him to leave his wife Rhona and be with her instead.
Not exactly tempted, Paddy rebukes Tess (Nicola Stephenson) for her recent risk-taking - pointing out that she shouldn't be at his home and she shouldn't have told Rhona that she has a mystery man.
