I was thinking or organising a Street Booze Up err I mean Barbecue. Well it seemed like a good idea the other night after my neighbour and I started on the third bottle of Shiraz
Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has denied claims that the soap will be screening a gay wedding on the same day that Prince William and Kate Middleton marry.
Yesterday, a newspaper reported that Cotton's character Sean Tully would tie the knot with ex-partner Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) on April 29 - the date of the royal wedding.
However, using Twitter to respond to the speculation, Cotton confirmed: "Not true! I don't know why - they just make it up."
A civil partnership for Sean and Marcus has been rumoured for some time but has never been officially announced.
However, show bosses have previously confirmed that Marcus will be back on screen later this year and rekindle his romance with Sean shortly afterwards.
EastEnders couple Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) were also recently tipped to wed on the same day as William and Kate. However, Walford bosses have insisted that there is no truth in the claims.

Hmmmm, good idea. I might come over to Ireland for a few days. My wife and I both have Irish ancestors, so we could go and track a few down while we're there.
Actually, we know where some of my wife's ancestors are as at least half of Longford seems to be related to her. The rest are from Kinsale and Cork and mine are from Wexford. So that should keep us busy for a few days....
Whooppee, Gibraltar is getting the day off, mind you I will be in the UK during the wedding so will miss the parties here!
I don't know if we're getting the day off. Nothing has been decided yet. The schools are closed so that means finding childcare. To be honest I don't really want the day off. I'm not fussed about the wedding it's just a waste of tax payers money. I'm not really a fan of the Royals. I only work part-time and don't get the same allocated holiday entitilement as full-time members of staff. I need to keep days for school holidays I can't really afford to loose a day for a flaming wedding. Given the option I would work it, unless I was going to Ireland for a booze-up. :D
I'll gladly throw a sickie.
