I totally agree with you! It seems that once the show hits a bad patch, they just think the answer is to bring back some old faces! In my opinion it's only a short term solution! Why won't the writers concentrate on writing decent stuff for the actors they already have, or bringing in some new faces! I nearly choked on my breakfast this morning when I read the front page of todays Daily Star.According to it, Ross Kemp is being paid £500k for a six month deal!!! Is he really worth that? The producers paid Dirty Den £275k to lure him back...and look how that worked out! I am looking forward to the return of Grant, but am slightly worried about what will happen once this deal is up... Then what will the writers have planned to keep the momentum going?

Don't know how reliable The Daily star is, but it says that Grant's first job on his return will be to kill off Alfie Moon, and to create havoc for Jonny Allen.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all works out for the show!!

I dont understand why Grant would want to kill Alfie??!! I read it in the daily star too and i was pleased to have grant bk cos he's my fav mitchell-but killing Alfie? My fav character of all? I dont wanna see that happen.

Shame He's not staying that long though Because it would be great to have the Mitchell Brothers back in the Sqaure for good.

On LK today it was said that Ross(Grant) will be returning for one week and possibly for 4 months next year. My guess is that it will to be do with acertain wedding. As for him killing Alfie off, I doubt very much if that would happen, unless of course Shane has decided that it's the end of the road for Alfie...

I agree 100% and they may end up falling flat on their faces, look what happened with Den. They want to start killing off the Mitchells, starting with Peggy and not new characters.
New characters are what a show needs combined with existing old characters who have stayed with the show, that is what makes good viewing, good ole storylines combined with brand new storylines with fresh new blood, not stale old storylines with the same stale old blood.
