Has Bethany completely recovered from sepsis now. She did not seem to display any noticable symptoms. Soon after she woke up she was talking to Sarah quite rationally despite having a Stoma fitted. Was this a realistic portrayal of someone with sepsis?
Viewers however need to realise that it is a drama show, reflecting certain true life situations but not to every little bit. I think some folk forget that.... yes, certain things are totally unrealistic and certainly out of time frame (appointments with docs and specialists etc) but soap operas are there to present a drama played by actors :)
All this is very true, but when important matters of health are concerned I think they need to make a bit of extra effort. If they hadn't mentioned that Bethany had sepsis, I don't think anyone would have known otherwise, as we did not really see any sign of it. Some viewers do take these scenes as being realistic, some even think characters are real people. If this means some get the idea that sepsis is not really a serious, dangerous illness it could leave them not seeking treatment for themselves or others. After all they do drag out some less serious stories, sometimes endlessly, it seems..
I get that, totally, but I think with certain medical conditions, like sepsis, symptoms can be so varied so they are very careful not to go too much into details.. in the end, again, viewers awareness has been raised but they should talk to professionals to find out more if they are concerned. The same that they never mention any benefits people could claim... too subjective and can change any time so easier to show a struggling Ches and Gemma with 5 kids than to show them getting social security...
didn't Jack lose his leg over sepsis
why is jesse around so much with no gail
Thank you, thank you, Nick and Leanne splitting up .. yeahhh :cheer: Leanne is such a miserable cow most of the time and got worse when she got involved with the Institute... no wonder Nick and Toyah made a connection when he supported her during her cancer scare while Leanne took the Institute's advice and keep your distance.. ffs.... I would like Nick and Toyah to become a couple, I sincerely hope he will never get back with Leanne...
jenny has more staff than customers but needs cover for gemma if she can't return
Looking forward to tonight's episode to find out how many more people in Weatherfield own a crowbar.
aye but, in soapland so many characters "revisit" previous amour's, how many times did Liz McDonald and "Jim" not to mention Steve and Tracy, Ken and Deidre, and of course others I have forgot.
But why are so many "couples" living on or near the street, where I live, most couples have one partner who lives anywhere but the same street as their other half, blinking stupid
david took the money
How would David know where the money was, did Adam or Daniel tell him?
why is Corra so damn boring, think a major incident is needed to send these boring characters into oblivion, fast.
Then a new scriptwriter, story editor and finally decent actors, leave Sarah Platt, she's not to bad.
i know it won't happen but if gail died, what would happen with the house, split between nick, sarah and david?
Why would Chesney leave Kirk in charge?
Gail's got a nice room in that hospital.
I really do not care who killed Joel, I cannot work up any enthusiasm for it at all.
What was the outcome of Abi and the deep fake videos, was justice served or is it now forgotten?
