Thieves have ransacked the home of Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia while she was sleeping upstairs, reports the Daily Mail.

The intruders broke into the singer's house in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, on April 11, stealing a £30,000 Audi A6 and around £2,000 worth of valuables, including a camera, an iPod and docking station, and a laptop.

Irimia's boyfriend Nick Zapolski, who lives at the property with her, said: "We were a little shaken by the burglary and keep thinking about what would have happened if we had woken up to confront the burglars.

"I just wonder whether they would have come upstairs and into our room if they hadn't found what they were looking for downstairs."

He added that 26-year-old Irimia no longer feels safe at the house.

A police spokesperson confirmed that the incident is being investigated and that the thieves gained access to the property through a rear door.


That must have been scary to have intruders in the house and not know until the next morning.

Sharon Osbourne has apparently signed up to appear on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
According to The Mirror, Osbourne has told close friends that she is "definitely" going on the BBC One show.
Last year, the former X Factor judge revealed she was keen to be a contestant on Strictly.
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival 2008, Osbourne said: "Hopefully next year I can do it."
She will reportedly receive a fee in the region of £100,000 for her appearance.

Jarvis Cocker has split up with his wife Camille Bidault-Waddington.

The Pulp frontman confirmed that the couple are seperating after six years of marriage and that they are negotiating custody of their son Albert, 6.

"Yes, it's true. We split. But we're still on amicable terms," he told The Sun.

Cocker, who has now left the Paris home he shared with the French stylist, is said to be eager to be given regular access to his son.

"Jarvis is sad his marriage has ended. He fought to keep it alive but they had drifted apart," a source told the newspaper.

"Jarvis wants to be involved in every aspect of Albert's upbringing. His own father moved to Australia when he was just seven and they have had no contact since. Jarvis doesn't want the same to happen to his little boy."

Cocker releases his second solo album Further Complications on May 18 and will play four live shows the following month.

Guy Ritchie has reportedly purchased a four-storey house in London that is 200 yards from his ex-wife Madonna's mansion.

The RocknRolla director bought the home to be near his sons when the singer brings them to Britain, The Sun reports.

A friend said: "Madonna and Guy are getting on better than they have in years."

They added that Ritchie had been "a rock" in his support for his former partner after her failed bid to adopt a second child from Malawi.

Sarah Harding has revealed that she is scared her wig could catch fire during the current Girls Aloud tour.

The singer told The Sun of her concerns over the group's stage show as she performs in arenas across the country in support of recent album Out Of Control.

Harding said: "Our pyrotechnics are great. I'm worried, though.

"I wear a wig for a lot of the show and if one of those sparks go astray I could go up like a Christmas tree."

Harding also admitted that some of the band's dance moves had left her exhausted during Friday's show at Manchester's MEN Arena.

She said: "I was really struggling for energy. I had to drop to the floor and make it look like part of the routine. I thought I might pass out."

Frank Lampard has launched a live tirade against a radio presenter who apparently criticised his parenting.

The Chelsea footballer reportedly phoned James O'Brien's show on LBC 97.3 to defend himself against reports that he was living in a mansion while his children stayed in a flat. O'Brien suggested that any father who did that was "weak" and "scum".

His comments, which came after Lampard's split from Elen Rives, were made on the first anniversary of the death of the footballer's mum Pat, The Sun reports.

Lampard, 30, told listeners: "Every penny I earn, every yard I run on the football pitch is for my kids. Unfortunately I've split up with my girlfriend so they're now living in a temporary flat, and it's not a bad flat at all.

"I'm actually buying them a house at the moment which is of equal living standard, if not more, to mine. My kids will never ever live in inferior circumstances."

The presenter was told that he should think about what he is saying, with Lampard adding: "Next time I'll speak to you man to man, forget the radio show."

O'Brien said it was "absolutely regrettable" that the exchange happened on the anniversary of Lampard's mother's death, but refused to apologise for any of his comments.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are expecting twins via a surrogate.

An unnamed friend of the couple tells EW that Parker and Broderick turned to a surrogate after trying for years to have another child naturally. (Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, who married in 1997, have a 6-year-old son, James Wilkie.) "They had a lot of unsuccessful tries," says the source. "They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family."

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the good news in a statement. The twin girls are due later this summer.

JAILED Jack Tweed turned tail and ran from the showers in prison — after THREE encounters with naked gay star Boy George.

Jack, 21, was stunned when he bumped into the Culture Club icon in the wash block of the nick where they are both serving sentences.

Shy Jack, whose Big Brother star wife Jade Goody died of cancer last month, repeatedly met beefy George after being sent to cushy Edmunds Hill jail in Suffolk.

A pal said: “Jack isn’t exactly the most comfortable person when it comes to getting attention from other men. As soon as he saw Boy George was standing there naked having a wash he was gobsmacked.

“He grew up listening to George’s records but never imagined the first time he met him he would be stark naked in a prison shower.”

Sources said Jack TWICE went to the showers only to find 1980s icon Boy George, real name George O’Dowd, already in there wiping himself down.

There was fleeting eye contact and Jack immediately turned around and fled.

The THIRD time he went into the changing room where Boy George was getting undressed for his morning wash.

A pal told The Sun: “Jack knew what Boy George was in jail for and didn’t want to take any chances.

“The first time he saw him he just turned white and legged it.”

George, 47, who stands 6ft, is said to be an intimidating figure for young prisoners at the jail.

He was locked up at the Category C nick for 15 months for falsely imprisoning a male escort, shackling him to a bed and beating him with a chain.

Jack was moved there from tough Chelmsford Jail in Essex after being sentenced to 12 weeks for assaulting a cabbie.

Pals say Jack is worried about falling in love again after 27-year-old Jade’s death as it will make him look “bad”.

Chum Mark Wright, 22 — Jack’s best man at his wedding in February — said: “He doesn’t know if he’ll ever get another girlfriend.”

Brady Green has been convicted of stalking Tyra Banks.

Manhattan judge James Burke found the 39-year-old guilty of stalking, harassment, criminal trespass and attempted aggravated harassment, E! reports.

The verdict came the day after Banks testified that Green's actions made her fear for her safety and that of her staff.

The Georgia native, who will be sentenced on June 18, faces a maximum of 90 days in jail. However, Burke indicated that Green could avoid jail time if he agrees to receive mental treatment.

"Put Mr. Green in a location where he can thrive, and that location is not likely to be the city of New York," the judge told the defendant's attorneys.

Green's lawyer Jeffrey Berman told reporters that he was disappointed with the verdict, but "glad the judge did not send him to jail".

Jennifer Ellison has claimed that she is a bigger draw for readers than her peers when she strips off for magazine photoshoots.

The actress and glamour model told The Sun that she would carry on doing the risqué photographs as long as she is still in demand.

Ellison said: "I do it for the money and because I'm good at it - and they keep wanting me to do it.

"As long as I'm selling more mags than anybody else, I'll keep doing it."

Tragic Ann and a pal — living in Barnet, North London, in the mid 1960s — gave drawings of their idols to a neighbour, the group’s dentist.

George, who died of cancer in 2001, is thought to have realised he could not get all the signatures in time and so copied them himself.

Ann’s dad Harry, now in Rickinghall, Norfolk, said: “I’d heard in London that George was the master forger of the group.”

Andrew Bullock, of auctioneers Keys in Aylsham, said: “It adds a certain something and it’s actually quite nice.”

The husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford has been sued for sexual harassment, reports E! News.

Randy Gerber, who owns a string of bars and restaurants across the US, and his company have been accused of firing two former employees after they refused his and other staff's advances.

One claimant has alleged that Gerber tried to kiss her three times in one night last year, and also attempted to put his hand up her dress while she was working as a waitress at the Moonstone Lounge in San Diego.

The lawsuit, filed at San Diego County's Superior Court, is seeking unspecified damages.

However, a representative for Gerber has dismissed the claims, telling TMZ: "These allegations were previously investigated and shown to be baseless. This lawsuit has no merit."

The teenage daughter of Sting is reportedly recovering after fracturing her skull in a fall last weekend.

According to The Sun, Coco Sumner was dining with a friend at a restaurant in Los Angeles when she collapsed and banged her head on a chair.

Sting and wife Trudi Styler were reported to have been "beside themselves with worry" as they arrived at the hospital in California where the 18-year-old was kept for four days.

A representative for the family has since claimed that Sumner is "recovering well".

The Dark Knight star Maggie Gyllenhaal has wed her actor boyfriend Peter Sarsgaard in a romantic ceremony in Italy.

The couple exchanged vows in a small chapel in Brindisi on Saturday, with the actress' brother Jake Gyllenhaal and his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon among the guests in attendance, reports RadarOnline.com.

The pair, who have been dating since 2002, have a two-year-old daughter, Ramona.

Comic actor Dom DeLuise has died at the age of 75.

DeLuise, who starred alongside Burt Reynolds in the Cannonball Run movies, passed away in Los Angeles last night.

In a statement, Reynolds said that he was "dreading" the news, E! reports.

"Dom always made everyone feel better when he was around. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. I will miss him very much," he said.

DeLuise appeared in several Mel Brooks movies, including Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Silent Movie and Robin Hood: Men In Tights. He was also the author of several cookbooks.

Paul Newman's widow is to host a benefit for the kids camp charity the movie icon founded.

The actor created the Hole in the Wall Camps for children with serious illnesses and life-threatening conditions and Joanne Woodward is keen for the cause to continue.

She'll host an all-star gala at New York's Lincoln Center on 8 June to remember her late husband and the camps he created 20 years ago.

Many of the stars on the bill, including Julia Roberts, Harry Connick Jr., Art Garfunkel and Newman's longtime pal Robert Redford, will be donating their performance fee to the charity and the Newman's Own Foundation will cover additional costs.

A spokesman for the event says, "All expenses of the event have been underwritten, allowing 100 per cent of tickets to go to the Hole in the Wall Camps Foundation."

Newman lost his battle with cancer in September.

Alexander Mosley, the son of Formula 1 boss Max, has been found dead of a suspected drug overdose.

The 39-year-old economist was discovered in his west London home. Police are not treating his death as suspicious.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "We were called at 4.20pm on Tuesday to reports of a man found dead at a property in W11. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The man is in his late 30s.

"We believe we know the identity of the deceased. Next of kin are being informed and a postmortem will take place in due course."

Max Mosley, himself the son of British Union of Fascists leader Sir Oswald Mosley, won a £600,000 legal action against the News Of The World last year after it published details of his sadomasochistic sex session with five prostitutes.

M*A*S*H* star David Ogden Stiers has reportedly revealed that he is gay.

The actor, 66, portrayed Major Charles Winchester on the long-running comedy series, and said that the revelation had more to do with his personal life than his professional one, according to Contact Music.

"I could claim noble reasons as coming out in order to move gay rights forward, but I must admit it is for far more selfish reasons," he told the Gossip Boy blog. "Now is the time I wish to find someone and I do not desire to force any potential partner to live a life of extreme discretion for me."

Stiers, who provided voiceover work for a number of Disney films, admitted that he had not come out until now for fear of losing work in Hollywood due to his sexuality.

He added: "From the late 1980s until about seven or eight years ago, you would find certain individuals coming up...and advocating the position that since we were doing family fare that it would be best were the actors to maintain a certain palatability to parents."

Stiers's role on M*A*S*H* earned him two Emmy nominations.

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina has rushed to defend her daughter Ali amid accusations the teenager parties with her superstar sister instead of attending school.

The Lohan family has attracted criticism from various media sources since 15-year-old aspiring singer Ali was photographed with her actress sibling in the weeks after her break-up from DJ Samantha Ronson.

The sisters were snapped frolicking in bikinis on the beaches of Hawaii last month before walking the red carpets of Los Angeles in designer outfits.

The flood of pictures hitting the tabloids and Internet blogs prompted several gossips to ask why the teen isn't in class.

But the girls' mum Dina is adamant Ali is continuing her education - with the help of a private tutor.

She tells the New York Daily News, "She (Ali) is home-schooled. I'm a firm believer in staying in school but, in the business, it's gotten difficult for Ali to be in school."

Dina explains education is now a "little tougher for Ali", who began to learn at home after leaving her school in Long Island, New York earlier this year.

Ryan O’Neal has revealed that he would not know how to handle the possible death of Farrah Fawcett.

The actor has spoken for the first time about Fawcett's cancer, which she has battled for two years.

He said: "It's a love story. I just don't know how to play this one. I won't know this world without her. Cancer is an insidious enemy."

O’Neal, 68, said that the former Charlie’s Angels star’s latest bout with the disease has left her bed-ridden and hooked up to an IV for nourishment, but she has enjoyed visits from former co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson.

The couple's son Redmond, 24, who awaits transfer to a lockdown rehab, was also allowed a visit last month following a drugs arrest.

O'Neal added: "Farrah doesn't know Redmond's in trouble. And Redmond is terrified for his mother. 'I don't want to be in jail and have some guard tell me she is gone,' he said to me."

The Love Story star also revealed that Fawcett’s trademark hair, much copied in the 1970s, has fallen out.

He admitted that he has struggled to keep hope alive for the 62-year-old, saying: "A week ago Farrah said to me, 'Am I going to make it?' I said, 'Yes, you'll make it. And if you don't, I'll go with you'."

Chris Brown's attorney has requested records of the LAPD's internal investigation into the origins of the photo of Rihanna's injuries that leaked to TMZ.

Last month, it was reported that if evidence is found which shows that police misconduct lead to the leak, the singer's lawyer, Mark Geragos, will call for a dismissal of the case against Brown.

"I am informed and believe that this highly prejudicial photograph was sold by an LAPD officer to the entertainment website, TMZ," he said in court.

"The photograph was immediately viewed by hundreds of thousands of viewers and was displayed on every news channel for several weeks," Geragos added. "The purpose of the leak was necessarily for profit and to vilify Mr Brown and poison the potential jury pool."

The next preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for May 28.

Backstreet Boys star Howie Dorough and his wife Leigh have become parents for the first time, reports People.

The couple, who married in December 2007, welcomed son James Hoke Dorough at around 2.30pm on Wednesday. He weighed four-and-a-half pounds.

A representative for the family has confirmed that the baby is healthy and doing well, despite being born prematurely. It is thought that his middle name Hoke is a tribute to Dorough's father, who passed away last year.

The singer had previously admitted that "everybody would love" the baby to be a boy, so that he could carry on the Dorough family name.

Kate Tucci, the wife of Emmy-winning actor Stanley Tucci, has died after battling cancer.

Married for 14 years, the couple had three children together. Kate died last week, and a wake was held for her over the weekend.

"My wife was an extraordinary person who showed us all what great strength is," Tucci told the New York Post.

Tucci, a star of stage and screen, won an Emmy for his guest-starring role on USA's Monk in 2007 and played Dr. Kevin Moretti on ER's 14th season. He was nominated for a Best Actor Tony for the 2002 revival of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. Tucci has also appeared in such films as The Devil Wears Prada, Big Night, The Terminal, and Maid in Manhattan. Later this year, he will play husband to Julia Child (Prada co-star Meryl Streep) in Julie and Julia and will appear in Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Lovely Bones.

So sad about Stanley's wife loosing her battle and things are not looking good for Farrah Fawcett.

Lynyrd Skynyrd bass player Donald 'Ean' Evans has died of cancer at his home in Mississippi, aged 48.
A statement on the band's website announced the musician's death with "profound sadness".
"Ean put up a valiant battle with an aggressive form of cancer and he will be sorely missed by family, friends and fans," it read.
Evans was born in Atlanta but moved to Mississippi after marrying his wife, Eva. He joined the band in 2001 and toured with them until 2008 when he was diagnosed with cancer.
His death comes just a few months after the passing of Skynyrd keyboardist Billy Powell, in January.

Dolly Parton has received an honourary PhD from the University Of Tennessee in Knoxville, say reports.

According to NME, the country legend was awarded the degree during a graduation ceremony for the College Of Arts And Sciences.

Collecting the award, Parton said: "Just think, I am Dr. Dolly! So when people say something about 'Double-D', they will be thinking of something entirely different."

An audience of just over 1,000 graduates praised Parton with a standing ovation, reports the Associated Press.

Earlier this week, the 63-year-old admitted that she was once mistaken for a prostitute in New York City.

In an interview with Ladies' Home Journal, Abdul confessed that for more than 10 years she relied on a cocktail of drugs and Chinese medicine — including nerve medication and muscle relaxants — to help her cope with debilitating pain.

The American Idol judge revealed that in 2005 she was diagnosed with "reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome", a condition that causes severe pain in sufferers, and regularly wore a patch which delivered a pain medication 80 times stronger than morphine.

Abdul admitted that the pain, caused by a string of injuries sustained during her long career, sometimes caused her to "get weird" — behaviour which did not go unnoticed by American Idol's legions of viewers, some of whom speculated that the former pop star was high on the air.

One of Abdul's most unusual moments came in 2008, when delivered a verdict on a contestant's performance before he'd actually performed.

In 2008 Abdul checked herself into a clinic to help her kick her painkiller habit, saying that withdrawal from the drugs was "the worst thing". "I could have killed myself," she said.

Tobey Maguire and wife Jennifer Meyer have welcomed their second child together, a baby boy born on Friday.

The couple, who married in 2007, also have a two-year-old daughter named Ruby Sweetheart.

Maguire’s spokesperson told Us Weekly: "I can confirm the Maguires had a baby boy today and the family is healthy and happy."

The pair have not ruled out further additions to the family in the future, with Meyer telling E! News: "I'm really excited about two, so we'll see what happens from there."

Kerry Katona and Brian McFadden missed Kian Egan's wedding to avoid a showdown at the ceremony, it has been claimed.
Westlife star Egan tied the knot with actress Jodi Albert at the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados yesterday.
It is believed that the couple invited both Katona and McFadden to their big day, but each rejected their invitation because they feared the other would attend.
Katona split from McFadden in 2004 following two years of marriage. She has since tied the knot with new partner Mark Croft.
A source told the Daily Star: "Brian and Kian still remained close even after Brian left Westlife five years ago. So Kian was hurt that his pal couldn't make their wedding.
"Kerry was also a big part of their lives and their absence was the only blip in an otherwise idyllic day."
A spokesperson for Egan commented: "He and Brian are still friends. Brian lives in Australia and Kian understands that he is on the other side of the world."

The man who pioneered Britain’s first unisex hair salon has been given an emotional tribute by staff and customers after he died of a heart attack.

Hundreds of stylists throughout the country stopped work to honour Guy Mascolo, co-founder of the international hairdressing company Toni&Guy.

They held a two-minute silence then, accompanied by customers, many in mid-cut, they left their salons to release white balloons in remembrance of Mr Mascolo, 65, who died in his art studio in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday.

Brenda Mail said staff who had worked with Mr Mascolo in his Mayfair salon more than 30 years ago were crying.

She said: ‘It was a very emotional occasion. He is part of our heritage. Guy’s wife, Flora, wanted to mark his death across the world. Everyone who met him loved him.’

Born Gaetano Mascolo near Pompeii in southern Italy, Guy was the second eldest of five sons who, with their parents, emigrated to the UK in the mid-Fifties. With skills honed in their father’s barber shop, teenagers Guy and his brother Giuseppe (Toni) set up a single salon in Clapham, South London, in 1963.

Joined in 1973 by younger brothers Bruno and Anthony, they transformed the business into what is now a multinational empire with more than 400 salons and academies in 41 countries.
Their Dallas academy has produced celebrity hairdressers such as Jessica Galvan, regular stylist to Victoria Beckham and Rachel Stevens.

Over the years the brothers took part in hairdressing shows around the world and broke new boundaries pioneering the concept of unisex salons.

In 1983 Guy and Bruno expanded the business to the US. Guy was chairman of Toni&Guy USA while Toni, 67, controlled the UK arm of the business.

Last month, Guy and Bruno sold their professional product line TIGI to Unilever for $415million (£275million).

Guy, a father of four, had a passion for football, food and fine art.

He also played the guitar, composed and produced music, and as a keen artist sold his paintings to raise money for a string of charities.

Business partner Paul Joseph said: ‘He was building a brand new house and starting to enjoy the fruits of his work.’
