Ronnie and Roxy who? Never heard of them. Well the Mitchell's obviously haven't!

A better episode tonight. I did enjoy the Johnny and Abi scenes in the kitchen. I had to smile at Mick and Vincent's run, it was a mega marathon. :D Not! The scene had a natural feel about it.

The end scene with Shirley and Denise was bang on. Excellent scripts and superb performances from Diane and Linda and what a duff duff. So much better when you don't know what is going to happen. Corrie take note, don't tell us everything before it happens.

Mick and Vincent went out in daylight came back at night! How long were they running?

Loved the 'someone in the toilet listening' ending. Aww poor Sharon, and then Poor Shirley - her emotions about it being Phil's was good.

Was not paying attention to what time of the day it might have been when they started off but if it was late afternoon, it could have turned dard quite quickly ... within 1/2 hour maybe

I guess Michelle had to have seriously burnt her bridges to run back to the home she looked down on so much that she didn't even return for her mother's funeral. I thought she was going to say the boy was 15! :eek:

It was a good episode and I was particularly impressed with Letitia Dean. Michelle isn't anywhere near being Michelle Fowler to me yet but hopefully that'll change given time (as it did with Martin).

I'm happy Ethel Esquire made it home! :D

So Michelle said she had been seeing the bloke for a year or was it over a year, then when asked how old he was now, she said 17, was that 17 as he is now or when she hooked up with him? The later would mean he was 15 when their relationship started.

Cat owners always fight the annoyance of others feeding and trying to own their cats, I hope the real owner of Ethel fits a cat cam and finds out Dot is trying to steal their Kitty, the things probably micro chipped anyway, as feral cats do not come anywhere near being domestic ones.

Im not for glamourous types playing roles like in Dallas etc, but OMG Michelles hair cut is dreadful, if she is the incarnate of Pauline in the show please can they remember Pauline had some female allure about her, this lady is more masculine than Phil.

My favourite line of the episode and had me laughing out loud was "I tan easily."

I enjoyed the episode, not quite a two hander but almost. I am biased because I am a fan of Jenna Russell, but I think she has fitted well into the role. Brave of Jenna to take on the role and brave of SOC to bring the character back.

Nice touches in the episode. like hanging the Apron on the back door. On the whole a good episode, the Dot scenes were a bit of a distraction and a little odd.

I know many on social media many are calling for SOC to be sacked and put his head on a stick in the tower of London. What made me smile was most of these oiks probably wern't even a sperm in 1985 and wouldn't know what Michelle was like and I am sure have never heard of Tony Holland or Julia Smith.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're going for Michelle morphing into Pauline. They certainly hinted at that. Maybe the short hair will go. I've seen photos of the actress with longer hair and she looks very attractive (not that I think she looks unattractive with short hair mind).

Michelle said she'd been with the boy a year so that would have made him 16 at the beginning. At least he wasn't underage but it's still a shocking abuse of power.

I thought Michelle's dialogue when trying to justify her behaviour was spot on. I've read several articles about female teachers having affairs with students over the years, and the excuses given are always variations of "but we were in luuurve...". Michelle's excuses sounded more to me like nothing more than the thrill of being wanted.

I've read a few online conversations about Michelle tonight and have been reminded that she was always dissatisfied with life and having ill judged relationships, so her current storyline would appear to be in character. Her story has come full circle since she's most famous for sleeping with a man in his forties at sixteen. I think the storyline has been well thought out - although it makes her very unsympathetic.

I think they should have had that more clear in the episode, as I've seen many people on facebook, a little confused as they didn't know.

I felt sorry for Denise when she was holding her baby at the end of the episode. I can see both sides of the argument so I can understand why Denise's family are so upset (though I didn't like them pressuring her just after she'd given birth and was vulnerable).

Diane Parish was amazing tonight and Tameka Epsom put in a good performance also. I enjoyed Whitney putting Babe in her place.

The only down side is all this Shaky/Bec stuff. It is like a bad episode of Grange Hill and Waterloo Rod with a touch of Hollyoaks. :moonie:

I think so, but it was a bit confusing after all he'd said. I quite liked the idea of him and Sharon having the baby.

I also thought at the end that Phil had decided Denise was right. It looked to me like he was kissing his son goodbye. A very emotional episode... :crying:

Yes I also thought he was agreeing with Denise which I think is what Sharon wanted, I know she told Phil she would support him but I think she is happy enough with them and Denny

I do wonder will Louise and Ben find out they have a new sibling

Diane Parish always knocks it out of the park with the acting, a very good episode, but sad :(

If we're correct that Phil won't contest the adoption, and if nothing else stops it from happening, I'll be very pleased that SOC decided to take the least sensational but most affecting route for this storyline.

That's not to say another DTC wouldn't bring the kid back in the future of course (which was what happened with Rebecca Fowler). :p
