To be honest, a lecturer who's english isn't perfect is not really a huge drama. If students feel they can't understand him to the point where its having a detrimental effect, they should contact the university and union. I can't see what purpose going to the press will serve in this case. There are times when some things do need to be blown open but you always reserve that path for when all else fails.
I wouldn't worry about it having an effect on you getting a job; its only one letter from a parent and as long as you get a good degree, you should be fine.
I need to find some ways to switch off. Even when I'm asleep I'm dreaming about stuff.
