Summer is too precocious for her own good. She's spent a fair bit of her young life looking after father figures so it's probably made her more mature than other teenagers. Still, she needs to just worry about teenage stuff, not Billy's relationships.
Yes, this is probably the worst aspect of this whole new approach to Coronation Street with everyone becoming ANGRY and spiteful all the time. Roy is now acting completely out of character and the nicest and most lovable person on the Street is being completely ruined.
Everyone seemed angry in tonight's episode too. Presumably the Chesney and Gemma storyline was supposed to be "comedy" but it was just annoying. I liked the scene where Ken was trying to advise Carla.
Unfortunately she was never going to please everyone. Trying to get production going again will save jobs temporarily but she still had to face an angry Kate and Imran who feel she's being disrespectful. And the factory gang were worse than ever tonight, complaining that they might have to travel to work like.. well, most people.
Natalie was quick in her story of Nick's hair transplant :p
Gemma is completely immature with no concept of all the things you need to do to run a home and she is a terrible influence on Joseph. What was that stupid "rave" about?
This is so true about everyone being angry now.
That was the reason I stopped watching EE twenty years ago - all they used to do then was to shout at each other. Sad that Corro seems to be degenerating to that level too.
I agree about Roy's character being hijacked and ruined.
I can understand Roy being angry about people shouting questions at him and traipsing through his flat all day but he shouldn't have taken it out on Carla. He could at least have listened to her perspective, even if he didn't agree with her actions. Looks like he's going to be away for most of her mental health plot, which he will surely feel guilty about. (and did he just leave the cafe in Shona's hands at a moment's notice?)
How did Robert know that Carla knew about the roof, or did he just guess?
