Pop star Lily Allen is "distraught" after suffering a miscarriage, according to reports.
The 22 year old was expecting her first child with boyfriend Ed Simons from the band the Chemical Brothers.




But today The Sun newspaper reported the star - daughter of actor Keith Allen - had suffered a miscarriage.
A source close to the singer told the paper: "The bad news has been really difficult for them to take and they are absolutely heartbroken.

"Lily's entire outlook on life changed after she found out she was pregnant. She was looking forward to being a mum and starting a family with Ed.
"She had turned her back on the party girl image and turned over a new leaf."

Allen met Simons, 39, after a Chemical Brothers' gig in London's Trafalgar Square in September.

Her spokesman confirmed the news: "We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time."

Allen had spoken of her excitement after discovering she was expecting: “I've looked forward to being stable my whole life. My parents are amazing, but it has been a whirlwind upbringing.

“I have got my eye on the prize, which is having kids and getting married and cooking dinner and doing homework with my children.”

Allen's second album is due out later this year and a BBC show is also planned.

Christina Aguilera's baby son has been circumcised in a special Jewish ceremony.

A small group of friends and family gathered to celebrate Max's Bris at the singer's home in Beverly Hills.

The Bris is a ceremony to welcome an infant boy into the Jewish faith through circumcision, traditionally held eight days after his birth.

Max's middle name Liron - "my song" or "my joy" in Hebrew - was made official at the event, which was followed by a special meal.

A source close to Aguilera said: "Christina wanted to give Max a partly Jewish name. When she came across Liron she couldn't believe her luck because as well as liking the sound of it, it was a direct reference to her own career."

The 27-year-old and husband Jordan Bratman welcomed their first child on January 12, a day later than originally reported.

She recently revealed that she was "still sore" a week after the birth.

Rapper Nate Dogg has been left paralyzed following a stroke over Christmas.

The 39-year-old hip-hop star, who is the cousin of Snoop Dogg, is unable to move his left side because of the illness.

Dogg, real name Nathaniel Dawayne Hale, was taken to Pomono Valley Hospital on December 20 after suffering the stroke, and is currently residing in an occupational rehab facility.

A representative of the singer told MTV: "Time will tell everything, obviously. The doctor can only guess what the outcome will be.

"But based on situations with similar people his age, and based on his health, the prognosis is good right now."

Dogg first appeared on Dr Dre's seminal hip-hop LP The Chronic in 1992, and has received four Grammy nominations.

Kiefer Sutherland has reportedly been freed from prison after serving 48 days for drunken driving.

The star, who plays Jack Bauer in hit TV series 24, walked out of jail just after midnight.





Sutherland must still serve five years probation and complete an 18-month alcohol education program, as well as attend weekly therapy sessions for six months.
Prison officer John Balian said: "(Kiefer) looked like he was glad to be out.
"He was very humble, never complained. He didn't give us any problems at all."
Sutherland - who also found fame as a vampire in the hit film The Lost Boys - spent his sentence cleaning sheets, pillowcases and blankets while on laundry duty.


The 41-year-old pleaded no contest in October to driving with excess alcohol.
He was sentenced to 30 days, as well a further 18 for violating probation stemming from a 2004 drunken-driving arrest.
After entering his plea, Sutherland issued a statement saying he was "very disappointed in myself for the poor judgment I exhibited recently".
He added: "And I'm deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and co-workers."
Sutherland was allowed to serve his time in suburban Glendale's city jail rather than in the overcrowded Los Angeles County prison.

He served his whole sentence? :eek: Good on him for not playing the celebrity card and complaining about it.

He got a pretty harsh sentence with the jail, probo, therapy and community service.

I just hope that in future if any other stars break the law then they have to do the whole jail term also and not just a few poxy hours.

Kerry Katona has revealed that she is expecting a boy and that she already named him.

The reality TV star already has three daughters and is "excited" to finally be having a son.

She told OK!: "I’m so excited that I’m having a boy after all this time. I can’t stop smiling.

"He’s going to be called Maxwell Mark Croft. Mark [her partner] loves Max but I prefer Maxwell, but he’ll get shortened to Max so we are both happy."

Katona's baby is due in May.
