Read that producer Kate Oates is being trolled by some viewers, altho' I think viewers are entitled to comment on the programme, I don' t agree with abuse. She is quoted as saying. [I]"People are talking about the show, which is great"[I] but is it for the wrong reasons? Corrie is unlikely to improve in the near future if she cannot acknowledge there is anything wrong with it.
I think what you've said is interesting, and very true. I didn't know she was being trolled, but I can understand why, if she can't see there is dissatisfaction with the production this year.
Two Corrie forums I read/participate in, both have members, some of who have said they are considering dumping it, always due to the unreal story-lines and also lack of continuity/attention to detail with earlier story-lines compared to present ones not following suit.
I think all the good work Kate did with Emmerdale, she thought she was top of the world, believing all the media hype, award wins and could do only good things also with Corrie but the soaps are very different and she needs to see the storylines are not making viewers happy so to stay watching instead putting them off
There is a lot of criticism over the Robert cancer storyline all over Social Media. Yes, it's worth doing the story to highlight the problem, but getting a consultant to see you on the ward followed by a scan and an operation all on the same day just makes it unbelievable and not what happens in the real world, so the problem is not really highlighted at all as it doesn't work like that.
Absolutely. I don't live in the UK any more, but I am aware from reading the press the NHS queues are not reducing.
As I posted a couple of days ago:
It sounded more like a Specsavers advert. The urologist said, "I'd like to get you down to surgery within the hour."
There again back to sarcastic mode, they do live in Weatherfield and not the UK.
The cancer storyline is good but too soon after the Will storyline and with Robert just out of prison plus more crying Michelle again is not a good thing, maybe giving it to another character like Peter or Tim would have been better and writing it better and believable
Gutted that Moira has been sacked from the medical centre, I loved her scenes in there. And all for the Colin and Norris nonsense :(
i think robert cancer storyline is to tie in with carla's return with his kid that is my guess
Where is Leanne?
Itv player does not have the 7.30pm episode on just the 8.30pm one. What a pain.
holy vicar billy goes straight to charity box takes the money and goes to bistro and gives back to robert in front of everyone
Looks like they are borrowing a plot line from Cinderella.
Have the Keystone Cops thought of asking Adam and/or Todd if Anna was in their office at the time?
The problem for me is if Billy did what he said he did, he should pay for it and he shouldnt be in a place of trust or be a guardian because deep within him is a trait that has not been addressed. Which emerged when he attacked Peter. So I was hoping whats his name did out him, but then it says a lot that Adam the vilest non murdering tool on the street stepped in to save him.
Sallys sister, her from some of the Sharpe movies and ex killer from the Bill, her character really grates on me, I have this opinion that theire are two types of mentally ill, those that do harm to themselves and those that do harm to others, she comes under the latter. So do gamblers alcholics etc who steal take or can money out of others to feed their habbits, they mostly do it coldy and without repentance like this lady showed.
Gina’s constantly grinning face annoys the hell out of me. She is like a Cheshire Cat.
I think she is trying to work hard at being happy by doing that grinning act. I find her character frustrating but think she is a good actress.
Well done Anna for closing the door on the cops that is really helpful....or just leave with Gary to the Ukraine....with Faye
I thought it had been established that neither Adam or Todd were in their office when Seb fell from the ladder. If they were not there how could Anna have got into the office. She doesn't have a key. Case closed! - Or did I get that wrong.
Dev giving Sally £4,700 and Gina £300 would still leave her considerably out of pocket as the bailiffs
would have needed to take goods worth a lot more than £5,000 to raise that much at auction. At auction things only make a fraction of what they cost new, so the £5,000 would not be enough to replace everything taken.
faye should be given to tim by anna she is so ungrateful a brat
I didn’t think it was possible, but this Phelan saga is getting even worse. Tonight's episode was the absolute pits!
did mary feed george a strawberry, why?
mary, kirk and beth all working for tracy
michelle did not think a pool holiday through, robert will have had surgery on his nether regions so doubt he will want to be in a speedo poolside
no way would newton ridley grandson want gemma, sorry to sound harsh, cinderalla fairytale only in soap fantasy
I think CS should stop the comedy scenes now, they are no good at them and they are not funny, embarrassing yes.
