probably an expendable character not sure who though

It has never occured to me that the identity of Ryan's mystery customer would ever be revealed, or that they would be important. The world does exist outside of Weatherfield, so they wouId not necessarily live in the street. I have always thought that the story is that Ryan is doing it, rather than who he is doing it with.

Would Todd be willing to spend the money?

Yes, I agree. That's exactly what I have been thinking. This is a story about Ryan. Who his audience is is completely irrelevant.

Loved the scenes in The Rovers at the end. Very sad. I wonder what the place will look like after the refurb? Jodie Prenger as Glenda fits like a glove behind the bar, I cant believe it took the powers at be so long to sign the actor up.

I couldn't follow the point of the wayward priest conducting an undercover marriage, it wouldn't be legal as the couple were already married anyway.

Now here's the thing.....Billy belongs to the Church of England, who, according to them, represent God on Earth. The church doesn't want gays married in their churches, therefore God doesn't want gays married in church. So why is Billy happy to go against the will of his god?

It's a good point Parkerman. It will always be the same.
God said no work on Sundays, so a hundred years ago shops were closed. People just push the boundaries to achieve what they want in their lives.
I see this week, "Pope Francis has suggested there could be ways to bless same-sex unions", so the catholic church could be on the move to keep up with the times and not lose income from their 'faithful'.
