Normally the C of E will provide accommodation, which is the property of the church. So Silly Billy would not be able to give it away, or even to allow anyone (apart from his immediate family) to live there.

When I said did he give it to the homeless, I did not mean, "give it away", I meant did he give it to the homeless as a church run hostel, or similar. I do remember him saying it was too big for him. It must still exist, so could he not enquire if he could move there now, it was part of his package as an Archdeacon. I have a feeling the writers have forgotten about it. Billy seems to operate as "sole trader" nowadays with very little connection to the church.
how did paul manage in the water
i think stephen is genuine in his feelings for jenny
Yes, my wife had very bad arthritis in her legs and could hardly walk at times and used a wheelchair, but she loved being in the water. She took a course of hydrotherapy treatment at our local hospital, which she always said made her feel much better and she was able to walk unaided for some time after each session.
i suppose in a pool with a trained physiotherapist to help yes but in a lake with a vicar on their own how does that work
paul can barely walk with a stick
She wasn't really helped by any physiotherapists. They were around, but my wife was able to get out of the water on her own after a session because of the therapeutic effects of the water. She also went swimming in our local swimming pool because of the beneficial effect. No physiotherapists there. No vicars either come to that.
sarah should just tell audrey and gail about stephen
I did not know you could still get top loading washing machines. So that is something I have learned tonight.
It's good to see that the Corrie scriptwriters have as much knowledge of how corporate business and take-overs work as they do of the way local councils are run. At least it shows consistency.
I have lost all interest and understanding of the business goings on in Corrie. I have completely lost the place with the Underworld/Nippersnapper saga. The Rover's brewery takeover insider dealing seems to have turned out to be a lead up to Ed betting on the gee gees again.
We should all be in Weatherfield, outside the Rovers Return with plackards saying SAVE THE WEATHERFIELD NEWTON AND RIDLEY BREWERY... what is this world coming to ... Coronation Street without the Newton & Ridley brewery supplying the Rovers Return.... sacrilege!!!
Is Dev left handed? - I have never noticed before.
I find Michael incredibly annoying.
I hate when characters try to tell someone something, and the other person does not listen, and assumes they know what they are going to say, or talks over them about something else. Like when Ed was trying to tell Ronnie about the gambling ads, and maybe say he did not trust himself with the bank card,
Recently I have been finding a whole page of gambling ads in my junk folder every day, even though I have never, ever, went to a gambling site. It is very annoying as I did not notice for several weeks and it took me ages to go through them, and delete them. Good job I am not a gambler.
Am I the only one here who couldn't give a t*ss about Max, Sabrina and Lauren?
eveyln and hope are the only ones saving the distrastous cassie storyline
Well he should have done. He should just said so.
Giving Cassie money was like locking an alcoholic in a wine cellar. Stupid Tyrone.
" I will pay ypu back the money". "I know you will mom. Next month, after a mechanics crash course, you will be doing call outs."
The best I can say about Max is that he probably remembers his lines.
