Telly Watcher, Michael Parr won the award, not Ross Barton.
It was an award for the best actor in soap :)
Just proves how well Michael Parr really is at acting :D

Telly Watcher, you do know that Michael Parr wasn't just up against the actress who plays Laurel don't you? He was up against many more iincluding a hugely popular Adam Woodyatt. Anyway have a nice Christmas.
They seem to be bringing the "old" Ross back in this weeks episode. I'm glad because Ross is a brilliant character when he's being sarcastic and cheeky.
I'm looking forward to his upcoming scenes involving Charity/Moses.
Yes, i have noticed this. Kate/Michael said that they wanted people to know that Ross is meant to be a villain.
Now that they've established that, i guess they and the writers have to make Ross a character who can have longevity. With character development such as Ross being a dad for Moses, it will be the way forward.

A few small spoilers from DS about Ross that I haven't seen on the board:
Monday, Jan 04 2016: Chas is shocked to learn that Debbie left because Ross shot Robert. Emma wants to see Moses, but Moira refuses and won't back down.
Later, Emma goes to see Ross and pushes him to lay claim to his son. Will Moira be forced to hand Moses over to Ross?
Tuesday, Jan 05 2016: Ross is out of his depth with Moses.
Thursday, Jan 07 2016: Also, Ross pulls a trick to get Emma to take Moses for a bit, but will his ploy work?
Friday, Jan 08 2016: Ross is desperate to have his job back, but will Cain agree?

I wonder whether Ross ends up giving Moses to Emma,
I think that too, will provide for a lot of Charity and Emma fights http://www.picgifs.com/smileys/smile...ing-224608.gif :D
Emmerdale Ross Barton actor Michael Parr hints he may leave following Charley Webb's exit
Emmerdale actor Michael Parr has hinted that he may be leaving the ITV soap.
During an exclusive chat with Mirror Online, the star, who plays Ross Barton in the show, suggested there's a possibility he won't be around when Charley Webb , who plays his on-screen love interest Debbie Dingle, returns from maternity leave next year.
Opening up about his pal's exit, which will be aired on Friday, he said: "It's really sad to see her go because I might not be here when she gets back. This could be the last time we ever film together."
According to Michael, if producers do decide to axe him, a petition from fans won't help matters either .
He explained: "It was so sweet when they fought to bring me back last time, but I have to say for the record that those things don't make much of a difference to story lines - as flattering as they are.
"But it does show the producers that I'm a popular character. Hopefully it won't be my last Christmas here. I trust the writers."
Michael worked closely with Charley over the weeks leading up to Christmas as their characters have finally rekindled their romance.
However, the police are going to drop a huge bombshell on the couple this week, which results in her leaving the village.
"I'm going to miss Charley," added Michael. "We have a lot of fun when we work together. We have such a laugh.
"She's always on my case if I get my lines wrong! But it's going to be sad."

As expected really. Ross is due karma and the new producer may not be okay with an attempted murderer getting off scott free.
It doesn't sound as though Michael is planning to quit, so that's good.
Tbh I think the title of that article is just clickbait. This interview has made me feel more positive that Michael doesn't want to leave yet, and as Micheal said in the article hopefully the writers realise what a popular character Ross is, despite what some (I won't name any names) seem to think...
Michael Parr always thinks he's leaving, his arrogance masks his insecurities of his acting capabilities. The new producer is coming over from Hollyoaks and as long as you have the right looks and flaunt your body every two minutes then you're quite safe. If they respect him as an actor, a person and have more plans for Ross then he's quite safe, I think he has a panic attack every time he's called to the office, there's a contract renewal or now in this case, a new producer
The character is popular, an asset and gets away with everything so they won't send him away and ruin the whole Barton dynamic, they haven't even all been on screen together for two years yet
They can change things for Ross if they want, they're in complete control of what happens to the characters, Ross can be as safe or as unsafe as they want, but I don't think they'll get rid of him
Anything's possible. It's a wait and see game with them all
The headline of that article is for dramatic effect but the video did sound quite positive. (bit of a dodgy recording though) I suppose it's the same for a lot of the characters. Nobody actually knows what's ahead unless they are the boss. I'm sure it is helpful that he is a popular character and that the awards he has won help with publicity for the show. Sounds like he is content but we will just have to wait and see. I think they just have to bring him in a bit. Have him have some more scenes with his family and a bit lighter material for a bit. I think we will notice a change when Debbie leaves. He will have to interact with others more for a start
