Hasn't he been charged purely on Kerrys statement? Why will they bother looking into it further? 🙄

Cain did not seem to have many bruises on his face, unless it was the lighting.
I am puzzled as to how Al got shot, Cain had him in a stranglehold, Al was reaching for the gun, which looked to be out of reach. If he manage to get hold of it, I cannot see how he could shoot himself. The wound on his chest was quite small, so the shot had not spread much, meaning the muzzle must have been very close, when it was fired. With one hand in position to pull the trigger, I cannot see how the end of the barrel could be in a position to shoot him in the chest. And then the gun ended up a distance away after the shot.
Again looking at the wound it looks like they do not understand the difference between a shotgun and a rifle.
If Al was holding the gun when it went off, can Cain be charged with murder. - Is this his way out?
cain giving chas hometruths
is cain covering for aaron or little kyle
I rewatched yesterday's ep and the gun is nowhere near Cain when he goes to pick it up. I think he's definitely covering for someone. It could be Aaron but maybe that's too obvious?
I think that's spot on. Cain was seen frantically cleaning the gun of fingerprints. Then told the police he was putting the safety catch on when Kerry saw him holding the gun. So why clean the gun of fingerprints in the first place unless he was wiping someone else's off.
I think that someone was Kyle.
They really have turned Chas into a despicable character, she will not accept any blame for the situation. Nobody seems to notice that she is constantly going out to get "some fresh air". She obviously has no feelings for Paddy, how long before she blames him for what's happened?
Cain could put up a better defense, if he said he was in barn and Al came in and started a fight, and that during the course of this Al grabbed the gun and it went off killing Al, then Cain could claim he was not to blame for any of it.
I wonder if Kerry has noticed that Al left his keys before leaving the house.
Hadn't Al bought a house with no mortgage, who will get that, or will it be forgotten like the house that the Baileys own in Weatherfield.
cain told kyle he knew what to do before handing himself in so yes likely kyle did it
He sold his 1% share of The HOP to Kim. The house was on with the Estate Agent for ?220,000, which means that The HOP would have to be worth ?22,000,000, which I find hard to believe.
I sometimes think that anything that happened in a Soap more than a few months ago gets scrubbed from a character's past, a bit like deleting history on a PC.
There is too much forgiveness in Soaps, things happen that would never be forgiven in real life, not by me anyway. The only person with that much forgiveness is Charles, and he is an idiot.
Just clarify please. Did you shoot Al or not ?
Cain's fingerprints were on the gun but it would depend on where exactly the fingerprints were.
Cain is not helping himself. I say the solicitor is wrong. If they could prove it was an accident, why would Cain be guilty of killing him ?
A serving Police officer for many years is suddenly killed and just two of her colleagues ( not even a senior officer) turn up for the funeral......Ridiculous.
Why didn't we realise that Chloe and Amy are full sisters ? They are almost identical ?
Is it still last Friday or has Faith's wake been going on in the Woolpack all week.
Cain's fingerprints on the gun really prove nothing, it is registered to Moira and kept in their home.
poor harriet got a bad send off in hop no charles service or attendance
I'm not really sure where this is heading? If Kyle tells the truth what could happen to him? Surely he is too young to go to prison?
Ok so maybe I've watched too much Silent Witness, but surely the police would still have forensics take a look at the gun and Cain's clothes which would determine pretty much straight away by the pattern of the gunshot residue that Cain was not the one who held the trigger.
Even though they've got the ever so reliable Kerry as an eyewitness and his prints on the gun, considering that Cain was giving them zero information in interviews they would need to gather as much evidence as possible to build a strong case against him. (I won't even get into how an eleven year old would have struggled with that kind of gun and had a pretty impressive bruise from the recoil...)
Can't help but think that at least PC Plod, I mean Craig, would do more digging than that.
I agree that Kyle would have trouble handling a gun that size and weight, as I said in an earlier post, but the lack of bruising would be explained if be held the gun at his hip. There would be no need to put it to his shoulder to aim at that close distance. Al's wound showed that shot had not spread, so he must have been a few feet any at the time. The police may have gathered evidence but when Cain pled guilty none of the evidence would ever be heard. Not sure if the gunshot residue from a shotgun would be the same from a shotgun as it would be from a handgun, as the muzzle is a greater distance from to person firing the gun. The whole story is implausible, but the police have been trying to get something on Cain for ages, so maybe they took this chance to finally nail him, and thought it is not their job to prove him innocent.
I said a while ago I thought Cain was covering for someone and I believed it was Kyle. Cain took the gun to get the attention of Al, so he could beat him up. He admitted he had no intention of using it. As you rightly said, if Cain and Al struggled for the gun and it went off, there is no way it would have hit him fair and square in the middle of his chest. It looked more like Kyle came in picked up the gun, the pair stopped fighting turned to face Kyle, and the gun went off, hitting Al in the chest.
