Do you get to do really cool stuff like lifts and all that :D :p?
you mean stunts? yeh we do. atm its a bit boring cos weve gotta teach all the freshers the easy stunts first, but im looking forward to moving on to the harder ones we did last year and then hopefully learning even harder ones as well! stuntings my fave part of cheerleading! :D
Aww, I always end up doing work late at night, and Ive stopped going to dancing at often as I did, and then I told my friend I went on the internet to check out what my new contacts were, like well more info on them. And she was like 'You have way too much time on your hands, and you say you cant come to dancing'
It annoyed me cos It was only that thing, and ok, lately Ive been doing sbbb  but I did my work whilst on there and it was ok, if I hadnt have done sbbb I would still have lots of work to do and cut down on dancing, I just dont enjoy it like I used to
When I go to uni, I want to find somewhere where I can do some ballroom like jive and all that, Ive always wanted to do that and I think it will be more fun :p
i always end up doing my work late in the evenings even when i plan on doing it during the day (like now lol!) i always make sure i have time to go to every training/match for netball and cheerleading, its good to have a break from work! ive not been out as much this year though cos of all the work, only been out properly 3 times since ive been back and 2 other times ive been out and come home really early which is depressing! im trying to do all my work this weekend so i can go out twice next week to make up for it lol!
erm ill try and explain lol!
- straddle sit: the flyer (the person who is being lifted) sits with their legs apart in a straddle, the 2 bases (people who are holding the flyer up, 1 on either side) support/hold the flyers legs at chest height, and the backspot (the person basing at the back) holds the flyers bum at chest height (so that the flyer is basically sitting on their hands
- extended straddle: the same as above but everyone (apart from the flyer) extends their arms straight above them
- prep: the flyer is standing, legs shoulder width apart, on the hands of both bases, at the bases chest height (each base holds 1 leg each), the backspot holds onto the legs from the back (either the thighs or ankles), and the front spot holds on to the ankles at the front
- extended prep: same as above but everyone arms (apart from the flyer) are straight up in the air, the backspot holds onto the flyers ankles or under the wrists of the 2 bases
not sure how well im explaining these, ill try and find some pics of all the stunts weve learnt instead
wow that sounds very cool :D :p
