Strictly crashes The X Factor final
VIEWERS will be fuming after BBC chiefs decideded to schedule Strictly against The X Factor FINAL, TV Biz can reveal.
Bosses at both Saturday night shows have tried to minimise clashes. But last night it emerged the Beeb's show will run into The X Factor by 15 minutes on December 11.
And BBC1 is screening a repeat of My Family before, meaning the clash was avoidable.
The show is also 45 minutes longer than the equivalent show last year which ran for just one hour. The X Factor is scheduled to start at 8pm and run for two hours.
An ITV source said: "The BBC could easily avoid the overlap — all they have before Strictly is a repeat."
A BBC source replied: "The shows have overlapped several times this year. Only now, after they lost out at the weekend, do they complain."
Strictly's Wembley special beat The X Factor on Saturday with 12.5million viewers compared with 11.5million.
