Thankfully another Steeeeeeeeeephen free episode tonight.
I didn't understand the attitude of the magistrates. The allegation that the complainant's fiancee might have attacked him, should be evidence that an order was required.
Why would anyone be asking for an order if it wasn't necessary and why would an alleged stalker be asking that the order not be made unless they wanted to carry on stalking ?
Come now, you're asking for common sense and a few brain cells from the Weatherfield justice system?
The magistrates decision was pushing credibility just too far. Daniel attacking Justin should not have had any bearing on whether or not Justin was stalking Daisy. It should have been treated as a separate matter. They had the evidence of his text messages to her, and how when she changed her number he made the effort to get the new number and continue messaging her, should evidence he was stalking her. He entered the house and did not leave when asked. He was told by the magistrates to avoid future contact with her, but the first thing he does is go to the pub to see her. Why did she not phone the police immediately? It becomes more and more obvious that this is leading up to someone dying.
Stu "I've left a pan of rice in the boil" - who does that - I only have turn my head away and it boils all over the hob. - Surely the scriptwriters could have thought of a better excuse for Stu to have to rush off?
Stu is suppose to be a chef, I doubt any chef would leaving rice on a stove boiling or simmering. Pasta and rice are notorious for suddenly boiling over, as the water evaporates. I still think it is lazy writing, he could just have said he had to get the tea ready. Sometines they give too much detail, sometimes not enough. It is this lack of attention to detail in small things that leads to writing stories that are unrealistic and have no credibility.
Anyone hoping this is the end of the Justin story, I fear will be disappointed. He will probably get off with a slap on the wrist, probably just a caution. Even if it is treated more seriously he will be out on bail tomorrow, ready to resume stalking --
He is going to throw acid at Daisy, I guess there will not be any witnesses though...in real life, some people have been stalked for years... I guess this will not be over soon .. maybe this storyline ends when Stephen gets found out at the end of this year... :moonie:
Miley does not have a Canadian accent despite having grown up there....:hmm:
I cannot understand why Peter allows himself to be dissuaded from taking Carla to hospital or to see the doctor while she is experiencing one of her episodes. Surely this might allow them to diagnose the cause.
Very short episode tonight when you have your finger on the Steeeeeeeephen fast forward button. Still my recommended way of watching Corrie at the moment.
I think Rufus will be Stephen's next victim.
This is the problem when you go to a Soap doctor instead of a real doctor.
Stephen was wrong about the waiting times in A&E. Soap characters are always fast tracked.
It does look like the next victim will be Elvis Costello.
Carla should sack Stephen or stop treating him like a dogsbody ( I am not excusing Stephen )
If Dee Dee is such a great lawyer why is she working with Adam in a back street practice?
Oh dear that was long and drawn out, even Maureen Lipman could not save it tonight. Far too much Stephen, this storyline is slowly killing this show. No wonder "Beyond Paradise" on BBC One at the same time is beating Coronation Street in the ratings on a Friday.
I would like to think that ITV get more than enough comments from viewers.. wth do they continue with this farce of a storyline rather than bringing it to an end soon? What on earth possessed them to make this a year long storyline imitating Pat Phelans reign of terror .. Well, his was far more believable than the nonsense we are having to suffer now...
The only good thing right now is the interaction between Jenny, Glenda and Daisy. I could watch the whole episode with those three.
I got to thinking about Stephen and him being a murderer, where are the bodies?? how come they have not appeared yet, it's not as if he is a calculated Killer.
It's a case of "spur of the moments" so how does he manage to find a "burial place"?
ARe we now getting the next villain in line courtesy of Damon?
Some "bad uns" have been very bad, loved Pat Phelan and Kirsty, she played a blinder (only one woman villianess?) Richard Hillman was scary, but Alan Bradley? can't say he scared me.
But I think the one who had the most impact on me was Charlie Stubbs, he was a brilliant Gas Lighter, long before there was a name for his behaviour, think I weighed every chap up I met after that story!!
