Aw Katy I hope your okay. Ive went on my backside about four times over the last couple of days. nothing hurt except my dignity.
well its still sore, been dosed up on painkillers today to try and walk properly on my knee but there not really working i stil cant really put any weight on it. im hoping that tomorrow that itll be better otherwise it will probably be a trip to a and e!
had a really nice night in watching the telly! its been great.
Once again earning brownie points with the man upstairs doing some shopping for my neighbours. Hope St Peter is keeping notes of all my good deads.

There is no elderly people in my area (most of the people here doen't speak english as a first language) so I can't earn brownie points with the man upstairs...My brother-in-law is looking after my mum and dad (they live an hour from my house, 6 hours when it is snowing).. so I know they are been looked after.. I am sure the family of the people you have helped will be very grateful that they are been taken care offQuote:

Ok, I really need to rant.
My housemate and his girlfriend are pissing me off. They haven't washed anything up for at least a week, there's no cutlery, glasses or plates left. I can't use any of my kitchen equipment, I can't even use the kitchen because it's such a mess. This morning I left them a note telling them to clean it up today (I've said this every friggin day for the past week). I come home from a hectic day, they're sat on the sofa with the tv on and the kitchen is still in the mess it was this morning :angry::angry:
My second gripe I have with them (as if that's not enough) is that she's practically living here and not contributing to bills. I want her to leave, I want my house back. I don't want to walk in and see them all over each other all the bloody time. I feel uncomfortable in my own home. When she starts contributing to bills and stops practically having sex on the sofa, I might reconsider my position.
If anybody has a solution for my problems, please let me know. :wall::wall::wall::wall: I'm too incensed to talk to either of them right now. I'm thinking about calling my landlady and asking her to come over and see the mess.
Hi Abigail, I was going to suggest contacting your landlord so go ahead and do it. I would imagine they won't be very pleased to find out that someone is staying so much when they are not tenants either. It would drive me nuts to have to put up with such a mess and them slobbering all over each other all the time so you are perfectly within your rights to take action. I do hope you get it sorted soon.
Well the kitchen issue has been resolved now, I went for a shower half an hour ago and the kitchen is almost spotless. They didn't take the rubbish out, just put a new bag next to the bin, but I think I should let that go.
I have noticed a suitcase that is rather feminine and doesn't belong to me and girly toiletries in the bathroom. I'm going to check the tenancy agreement about having people stay over then ring the landlady. I feel mean having to do this but it's my house, she's pushing up the bills and not contributing and she can't tidy up after herself. If I find out she's been using internet... well I might just explode in anger. She has her own place to live, why is she staying here all the time?
I am a lot calmer than earlier, I was seething. I read a book and had a sleep and now I'm not so mad. Especially as the kitchen has been tidied.
Abigail.. I had issues when I lived in a student house.. I was forever cleaning up after everyone in the house and it annoyed me so much.. I eventually told them I was leaving cause I couldn't cope with the mess and their lack of understanding why I was mad at them all.
It's difficult because I actually like the guy. His girlfriend... well I can take or leave her. She's very immature and sheltered. She has to be told to do everything, she can't think for herself - which is something that irritates me no matter who the person is. Oh and he's given her a key. She let herself in the front door when I was washing up. I've decided to wait until after Christmas before I say anything on that front. I leave next week and I just can't be bothered with the hassle. If the situation hasn't changed when I get back then I will have to say something.
We've all been struck down with a virus in this house. I have an exam in morning (at 8.30am!) so I'm going to have a snooze and start on revision this evening.
we had the same situation, they guy was amazing, his girlfriend was an avsolute nightmare!

My exam went ok. I knew the answers to one question but it was stuck in my brain, which really annoyed me.

I have my 2 of five carol band gigs of the weekend at half ten! will be glad when this marathon weekend is over!
I had a great night last night at my book launch. Far more people than I dared hope turned up. Some were old Museum colleagues that I hadn't seen for years, one in particular I hadn't seen for about 30 years!!!
As well as launching my book, it was a great reunion and a very enjoyable night.
I was thinking of your book launch yesterday, very pleased for you that it was well attended and you meeting up with old colleagues and friends again. :thumbsup:

Had to get up at 4 am this morning to head to work. Was collected at half four. Almost at work when boss phoned to say he was cancelling the shift. B'stard could have rang earlier and saved me getting out of my nice warm bed. Was I glad to discover that our local Mac Ds is now a 24hr service.
I have flu! Whats worse is my brother and 2 year old sister also have it, but my sister is so much worse off bless her, I'm worried :( I got in about an hour ago from work, it started snowing as we were closing down, we were stranded and we all had to walk home (I had some sort of "ice queen/ice skater" whatever you want to call it costume on with flipping dolly shoes) I had to borrow one of the boys joggers to keep me warm on my trek, we made our stop to Asda so I pinched a few bags that you put fruti and veg in to put around my feet, they helped a bit fairplay haha. I am froze, I have to be back in work for 10, so I'm not even going to bother sleeping, I'm drugged up on flu tablets and I'm going to make myself some scrambled egg on toast soon..... Merrrrrrry Christmas. Also... I hate Black Friday, granted, it was quiet this year because of the weather, but people get so violent! I can't imagine what the actual night would be like without being interrupted by snow.
its called mad friday here but i hate it as well everyone just turns stupid.
Were putting up the tree this morning, well my parents are and im watching them from the sofa and my duvet dosed up on lemsip! Also watching the Coronation street omnibus and i may put on love actually later to really get in the xmas spririt. I did my xmas shopping yesterday so thats made me feel a bit more organised. Im just hoping i feel better for work next week as i really need the money!

I started coughing today and to be honest I don't feel to good now. I can't take unwell I don't finsih work until Wednesday. got loads of pressies still to buy, helping out at the christmas concert at school on Wednesday. Also my nephew is having an event night to boost his buisness on Monday. I can't take ill but I'm not sure what's wrong with me so I can't take anything. The last time I had flu was 10 years ago and I was bed ridden for a month.
I have mince pies, Bailey's extra thick cream and a bottle of red. I'm sorted.

Man I had to cold for a week. Had to take last Wednesday off work it was the last day before the holidays so there was not much to do, but the head of motor vehicle Les was retiiring and I never got the chance to say goodbye. Anyway Christmas was fun. Had christmas dinner at my sisters me and my niece did a wicked version of love the way you lie. It would bring tears to anyone's glass eye. Got the house to myself. My sister is away home to Leeds and Marley is away to a sleepover.
weve had a lovely christmas! very relaxing, but we have yet to visit any family, that starts tomorrow so cue stress!!
I can't write any of this on facebook because of work seeing it and bla bla bla.... but what a shift, I love being started on by middle aged woman trying to be 18 and being called every name under the sun by a grown man, awesome.
